- I’ve worn and bought a ton of false lash styles in my life as a makeup artist and beauty blogger. Wearing false lash strips is one of the easiest way to ramp up your makeup look - IF you pick the right style!
I recently came across this new Ardell lash style (number 420) and have been so impressed with how easy to wear they are and how beautifully realistic they look. In this video I show you exactly the steps on how I apply these lashes and why I think they’re just so darn great!
If you haven’t ever worn a pair of falsies because you weren’t sure what style to try because there are so many, I’d definitely suggest these. Especially if you’re looking for a most natural fluttery look that doesn’t feel like you’re wearing fake ones!

I started playing around with false eyelashes last year when I was 56 years old. They're fun!
I remember my older sister wearing them in the early seventies. Back then they were like Tarantulas! Lol!
But these 420's are the best most natural looking ones..
So fun and they can make such a difference in opening up the eye bed!!

New subscriber and, thank you for the intro to these new lashes. I am currently wearing the Ardell 110. In your professional opinion (comparing the 420 to the 110 lashes). which lashes are longer, fuller and what are the pros and cons of both lashes. Thank you.
Thanks so much for subscribing! I have worn the 110s many times before! I’d say the 420s are def a fuller lash, with less space in between the clumps, if that makes sense. I find the 110s are wispier and longer in length than the 420 which is a shorter lash. I hope this helps! I highly recommend trying the 420 for a different but wearable look 👍🏼
I might have to try these! How do you remove them properly?
I soak a Q-tip in waterproof eye make up remover( typically the Neutrogena one in the blue bottle) then rub the Q-tip along the false lash strip until I can feel it breaking up the adhesive and the last strip just easily pulls away from my eyelid. So easy to remove really - you just need some patience! Try them! They look so fantastic and realistic
What brand/color liner do you have on. Black is just too for me. I've tried a few brown and a grey but none do far are perfect. Thanks.

Yes absolutely! I use the 421s on my brides who like a more natural lash that isn’t too long or obvious! They’re perfect for low key glam

How often do you wear lashes? I am intimidated. Do you need anything special to remove them?
Personally I wear them 2-3 times a week. I do like to throw them on during virtual and zoom meetings bc they make my eyes pop!! I remove them with a waterproof eyemake up remover soaked on a Q-tip and I rub it along the lash line until it breaks up the glue and they easily pull off!
Can I wear these for more than one day? Or do I have to remove them every night?
I would suggest removing them everyday and not wearing them while sleeping. I just don’t like the idea of glue staying on my lash line overnight. Just my personal opinion of course ;)
