I admit I have not been in a job centre for a long long time, but the thing that strikes me with your audits of these places is the number of security personnel in each centre, often five or six of them! It seems a rather juicy contract for G4S from the taxpayers, and I imagine for the guards themselves most of the day is spent doing very little in a nice warm pleasant building.
I used to work on UC helpline and believe me there were plenty of nutters saying they were going to go to the job centre and kick off so the security is probably justified. Im guessing not everyone who made threats did anything but the stuff they said would make you wonder why you would want to be a work coach or case manager in a job centre.
The guards eventually realized you knew exactly what our human rights are and that you would uphold them no matter what nonsense they tried. Excellent work.

Job centres are pretty worthless and have not changed in 20 years in my experience. I signed on for a month before coming to the conclusion that it's a box ticking excercise for the workers and the unemployed. If someone wants to work, and I am someone that enjoys contributing to society btw, they have very little help from the job centre. My 1 stipulation for where i would work was no corporations that treat people like numbers and not human beings. They refused that and only gave me large corporations as potential placements. Me saying I refuse to help those corporations ruin our country was not listened to and subsequently I now see them as just as a bigger threat to our society. They dont help and just make it easier for those companies to abuse their staff with agencies and zero contract, they are part of the reason the people have no voice or union powers now. The way society has gone over the past 3 years it can burn and people like myself will be here to help after the fact, but i won't help those burning it down, which is those taking orders from authority and big businesses, they can all go down in the flames after the way they have treated people.

There's no legal prohibition on filming in private premises, no, but you can be asked to leave private property at any time by the owner or someone with their authority to act on their behalf and you can be asked to leave for any reason or no reason. A private building is fully entitled to say "you can't come in here if you're filming, but you can if you're not." - if you refuse to leave when asked, it becomes trespass and the owner or someone with their authority to act on their behalf can lawfully use reasonable force to remove you.
A great audit. I honestly think these places (JobCentre Plus) have bucked up their ideas since PTTP has started auditing them. Other auditors may have visited such and similar places but PTTP practically pioneered this genre. He made the T-shirt. This particular audit was a definite 'win' and was a fair fight, with education being given and polite interaction throughout. This was a well earned audit where PTTP had to keep up the momentum.

There are several differences between government run public job centres that are paid and maintained by taxes and most shopping centres that are owned by private organisations, businesses, corporations. Some shopping centres have it as a condition of entry, some actually allow recording. It also should be clearly posted upon entry. Recording is different than publishing as well and in most cases as mentioned if it is in the public interest, for educational, artistic, critiquing even on private property it can be recorded and published. Best to research, seek legal advice if unsure though 🙂👍.

What a fantastic arrangement. All those people who are unemployable are given positions working security! This way they don't have to waste time educating or training them!
At 16:52 Mr Tubbs was on the verge of a lie so he could back up his side of the debate, but reeled back because his colleague probably knows that he hasn't.
There is no profit in their employers training their menials and minions. It’s them who should be taken to task and brought to book by loosing contracts!
It is Ultimately the Responsibility of Employers to ensure THEIR Employees are Fully Trained in the Roles they are Employed to do, especially when those Roles involve members of the Public. The FAILURE is with the Employers, which includes the Job Center and Local Authority who themselves Employ the likes of G4S.
I saw 5 G4S "security" in the jobcentre.... there may have been more.... why does a jobcentre need "security".... even if they do need it... why so many?.... of course they aren't needed...
A government building is "private property"? . . really? since when has the government been a private organisation with its own property? All government property is paid for from the public purse. It may be Crown property but the Crown is the state which is the people.
Security guards trying to argue about and enforce laws that they don't fully understand. It's not enough to only remember the parts that support your ego or the kick you get from the authority or intimidatory impact that you get from giving people directives -unlawful or otherwise. The head guy was a decent lad but needs to brush up on the law etc and ensure his bosses need to implement further detailed training to his colleagues. All these unfortunate interactions are the fault of their employer and they are the ones who should be getting their act together. The time of just employing people in security roles without providing them with sufficient training and education to meet the competency levels required are well and truly over.
@@powertotheproletariat There's a joke about that. Not sure YT would allow it. Search for the Buckeroo Game. Do you think you could get a cop to play that game?

Well technically he was right in what he said. If you look it up trespass is a civil matter but in certain situations its a crimal matter Jobcentre being a government building it could be crimial he even admits that they won't physically remove him as there no threat and allows him to carry on recording.
No unfortunately for YOU, you are wrong. GDPR is for companies and institutes, not general members of the public. What they trying to write is the rules THEY have to abide by due to GDPR, not him as an individual not affiliated to their GDPR.
Then your argument is completely nullified. If gdpr is only for companies then why has the person filming deliberately gone to a public building to show the breach in gdpr Hahaha sorry but your wrong haha
No body said anything bout that 🤔🤔 he actually said he agreed with what he was saying but if he posted personal information online then he runs risk of some one saying he was deliberately and willing to breach gdpr he was actually warning him him for his sake
Can Security Guards Take My Camera? Security guards cannot take your camera, delete images, or obstruct any individuals from taking photographs. UK Law on photography can be seen as very liberal as it is permitted in public places. An offense is only committed if the photographs being taken are indecent. SIA licensed security operatives have no legal powers over and above other civilians.
Sadly in some places security is needed,,,but for heavens sake they should at least be educated in the law/site policy’s to be able to articulate them and dealwith people, rather than the uneducated week thuggery approach

@Kens UK Adventures So you've never had conversations with others and told them about things you've seen and heard? I'll remember that as it sounds like you're the kind of person to keep secrets. It doesn't matter if the camera is better than your eyes. The breach has occurred if you can see it.
@Kens UK Adventures And no, cameras microphone are worse than ears. Wind noise and difficulty in identifying the source make them worse. Gain can be increased when editing but at a loss if quality
Dear the Government,
Please may I film in public places.
All the best,
Your loyal subject.
We're not the Gov's loyal subjects, the Gov works for us
There are several differences between government run public job centres that are paid and maintained by taxes and most shopping centres that are owned by private organisations, businesses, corporations.
Nice and respectful. Thanks for the info. I’m glad they treated u with the respect u deserve and u had no issues. I’d advise u to wear ur body cam when going to any job centre wouldn’t want u to be injured and it will show any false claims they make against you. It’s a deterrent also.
He’s already been injured but it would certainly be good if it didn’t happen again. He’s a national treasure & we need to keep him in good working order.
They seem disappointed that there are human rights....
That's because they're quick to abuse others human rights!
Yes again we’ll documented audit as usual PIIP unfortunately can’t be said of security staff who just will not accept that recording is allowed in a public place and how many more education time they need from you that they are breaking data protection on a hourly and daily business, what on earth is management doing about being embarrassed on a daily basis in terms of being found out once again - enjoyed you schooling these individuals
Rotherham, Job centre, ive recently had the same interaction, date was 01/02/2023 clearly they dont understand filming and photography in a public place, Power To The Proletariat they haven't learned still
What a fantastic arrangement. All those people who are unemployable are given positions working security! This way they don't have to waste time educating or training them!
The whole reason the security industry is in such a state is because of the jobcentres handing out free sia courses for the past 15 years
Love your work pal ❤️from Northern Ireland
At 16:52 Mr Tubbs was on the verge of a lie so he could back up his side of the debate, but reeled back because his colleague probably knows that he hasn't.
There is no profit in their employers training their menials and minions. It’s them who should be taken to task and brought to book by loosing contracts!
Binge watching your channel to catch up to date. Absolutely love your demeanor & tenacity 🙌
Quite simply in awe of the workmanship of the paving outside this jobcentre. It’s so bad it can only be on purpose. 😢
G4S if you would train and educate your employees correctly it would stop your company looking very bad in these circumstances.
13:24 - Time to start putting your hand in front of their camera.
Great Audit mate!
I do love, "This isn't my first Rodeo". Tee shirts need to be produced.
With an image of me riding a cop like a bucking bronco 😂😂
@@powertotheproletariat There's a joke about that. Not sure YT would allow it. Search for the Buckeroo Game. Do you think you could get a cop to play that game?
You and AB best auditors
DIRECT ACTION is sometimes the only way to get your point across.
PTTP,
I am sure I remember a manager of a job centre giving you a sheet of paper that showed the Yays & Nays of filming in those centres. And I’m certain I remember the final result was you are allowed to film.
If my memory is right, couldn’t you show them that aheet, or tell them the policy clause?
Cheers.
But then there would be no drama for the video then no views then no weed money or charity shop tartan troosers
Why is there so many bored security standing about?
What are they for?
🤔🤔🤔😳😳😳👍👍
Exactly
Stopping people recording.
"I been doing this job for 15 years and I know the law" lol Imagine that and you actually think you are right! You let them off TOO light buddy. X
Well technically he was right in what he said. If you look it up trespass is a civil matter but in certain situations its a crimal matter Jobcentre being a government building it could be crimial he even admits that they won't physically remove him as there no threat and allows him to carry on recording.
@@shadowlord5407 unfortunately he was not right at all about not recording in the building due to GDPR.
Pressure centres should be shut down
Can Security Guards Take My Camera? Security guards cannot take your camera, delete images, or obstruct any individuals from taking photographs. UK Law on photography can be seen as very liberal as it is permitted in public places. An offense is only committed if the photographs being taken are indecent.
SIA licensed security operatives have no legal powers over and above other civilians.
I believe you would be within your rights to slap that mans hand away from you as he would be invading your personal space.
"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength".....how right he was..
I’m still trying to contact the 49,999 people that I took a photograph of at the football match for permission.
Sadly in some places security is needed,,,but for heavens sake they should at least be educated in the law/site policy’s to be able to articulate them and dealwith people, rather than the uneducated week thuggery approach
Well done again. Shame you never gave the complaint to a manager.
2:35 So G4Stupid staff giving advice and help as if they were employees of the JobCentre. I would have thought that G4Stupid has a very particular role and the does not involve acting as JobCentre staff.
So in your opinion no one should ever help anyone that's a stupid way to look at life. All I seen in that vid was that guy trying to help he dint do anything out of his role just pointed out the areas we're things can be found. Better then been stood there being ignorant
G4Stupid on the case yet again, they believe they are important yet don't realise they are just ridiculous, please report it to the ICO, DWP will never learn how to protect our data I've recently had to endure there awful practises. Well done PTTP.
PTTP would have been in and out in 5 minutes if those G4S clowns hadn't made a big deal over filming in a public place.
Is there a reason why you don't read off the letter from the DWP re filming not being desirable but cannot be prevented. You are probably one of the most knowledgeable and articulate UA-camrs out there.
The man who acts sometimes as public servants (security) is personal liable as a man to another man at courthouse public building.
Open your own court at the courthouse public building
In the Smith court at ( address)
Now make a claim against the wrongdoer and your the prosecutor
Trespass without a right
He should be a politician with statements like “we’re quite a good security company” 🤦♂️
The young g4s guy seems the most clued up and approachable.
Calling violent thugs to remove you is not polite.
Rotherham, Synonymous with only one thing, to most people. But can we say it out loud for fear of offending anyone?
Great audit please keep the great work reporting on gas staff getting it wrong again.
Why does the G4S staff behave like benefit administrators. They should remain within their remit
Him: All of this information is available online.
Ok then so why are we paying to keep this place open and for you to stand around doing nothing if it's all available online? What a waste of money.
Wow great to see PTTP in the North ☺️👍 love the way the Rotherham people pronounce "there".
How depressing wanting a job then its security in the jobcentre everyday
It's a great thing when someone says i don't know about that but I'll try to find out, why is it so hard?
I would love to see you do consett job centre, you'd have a field day in there.
I am glad you filmed inside as you are legally allowed to as it is a public building paid by the taxpayer. I have been unemployed for three years and on Universal Credit and was not been informed of the Get Britain Working website to look for possible jobs.
I have no idea of your individual circumstances, but how can you be unemployed in the UK when there more jobs advertised than those registered as unemployed.
@@taffman1 Because the jobs that is advertised is poorly paid sometimes below the minimum wage and/or long hours over the Working Time Directive of 48 hours. I want to be treated as a human and not a robot like the staff at a certain on-line company named after a South American River and Forest.
@@Herbparis2001 Obviously I know the company you refer too, a neighbour works for them, he started on the floor walking up and down the warehouse, after less than a year, he has been promoted twice, and now earns around £28k per anum. It is also illegal to advertise a job below the legal minimum wage. And the starting wage there is in excess of the legal minimum wage, supermarkets are now paying around £11.00 per hour for shelf stacking, so get your arse of your sofa and get a job.
You very been unmoved for 3 yrs go on indeed lots of jobs obviously your bone idol
@@thesecretone7102 Bet Ernie loves Corbyn.
G4S is a gigantic waste of government money at job centres.
Great vid PTTP, fair play to the guards too...took a while for the penny to drop with them but I think they came out with credit. Good education for other ignoramouses out there
Another good video from a sober PTTP. Much better.
How many times have "Audits" been conducted in these places and many times G4S has screwed it up because they don't know sh*t.
You would think that G4S would have advised their employees by now about this.
not to be pedantic but is it not article 12 , not 10. either way big fan of your work, keep up the good fight. there are too many out there willing to trespass on the rights of their fellow human beings.
Terrorising jobcentres all over the uk.🤣🤣
