      ***** Let me rephrase that. I don't think you want to but I think that'd be what would happen if someone asked about pay inequality for women and he said "there isn't much pay inequality actually." I just think it's a silly point to complain about.
      If he does believe there's a wage gap (many do still) he'll do research and figure out that all-though there is in some places, it's very insignificant. I don't believe that he knows there isn't a wage gap yet says there is anyways, but even if he knew it was small why give people who make a living blowing things out of proportion ammo to fire at him. In his position I think he has to be very blunt about what needs to happen in this country to create change and gain support, but he also needs to be careful.

      If Bernie still believes there is a wage gap, he is simply naive. It's recognized now that the studies conducted to prove the "wage gap" were not scientifically honest. They didn't take into account the types of jobs men and women typically hold, and they didn't compare the number of hours worked. They just did a one-to-one comparison of men's and women's salaries. I'm sure Bernie knows the truth. He's not dumb. Do you really want to elect another career politician who casually speaks untruths to garner votes?

      Get ready to have your taxes jacked up then if he wins. Read his tax plan. His great strategy is to start taking taxes out of the pocket of a man who makes $29,000 ( the new 4 percent taxes would be applied at any income $29,000 and over). I edited this post to reflect the exemption calculation mentioned by the poster below: The $1,200 in new taxes would be approached after income surpasses $50,000 -- since the first $29,000 is exempted, according to the explanation from the poster below

    • @scylax7669

    • @JohnSmith-tc6xx
      @JohnSmith-tc6xx 5 років тому +4

      @@scylax7669 Read his whole tax plan on his website man. People making under $29,000 still pay the same taxes. Anyone making over $29,000 (a huge chunk of the working class) will have their taxes raised. I guess you could say that's great if you have 5 kids and your monthly health care premium is $600. But what about an unmarried young person making middle income salary whose premiums are relatively low ... they could be taxed more than $1,300 extra with no benefit to offset it. This post was edited to correct the original calculations -- the poster Styrant pointed out that the tax increase is 4 percent beginning with $29,000 income -- whereas the calculation i used factored in 4 percent on any person's TOTAL income if they made at least $29,000. Still, a young working person making $52,000 for instance, and paying $1,000 a year in premiums would be losing $600 under Bernie's plan.

That again raise the GDP of a country. Would be very sad to miss a genius from taking higher college edification because they cant afford it and not have the country benefit from his or her brain to solve problems or innovate and find solutions or create businesses. And even if you confiscated all wealth from the 1% you would just get 1.8 trillion dollars. Soo you're going to have to *drastically* raise taxes on everyone (recommend squeezing the poor they are such loyal taxpayers [That's how we do it in Scandinavia]) which people just simply don't like. They just want to pay for their own things and not everyone else's. And that was just Medicaid...

      Brandon Smith "It is wrong that women working full-time only earn 78 cents for every dollar a man earns. We have got to move forward and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act into law."
      The 78 cents to every man's dollar myth is feminist bullshit. It has been illegal to pay women less than men for over half a century and any company actually willing to do it could get in serious trouble.
      The gap is explained entirely or almost entirely by career choices and it has been debunked countless times. Signing the paycheck fairness act into law does nothing positive and only opens up the potential for frivolous lawsuits.
      "And you say he's ridiculously progressive as if that's s bad thing."
      It depends. Some of those people are crazy and get offended by literally everything.

I don't think she would make a good executive, or at least an independent one, but she would be great as VP. Republicans would know if Bernie dies she'd be the President. She could also do many of the things she has claimed she wanted to do but did not have the power. I think it would work great, but I get where you're coming from. You have got to realize that anyone, even Bernie, is going to be somewhat cooperative with the corporations, you have to know what battles to fight, and ultimately it is the people that have to drive Bernie, or Hillary.

      Ya, at a whopping 24 years old, I am good on Bernie Sanders. Sounds like the 'revolution' when Obama was running. EVERYTHING IS GONNA CHANGE GUYS!!!!!!!
      Also, no citation for anything you said and calling Ronald Regan and other politicians 'Libertarian', makes me wonder how much you truly understand the meaning of the word. Here is some help, if they have a R or D next to their name, they are not probably not a Libertarian.Anyone who thinks otherwise does not have a grasp on the word, political party or the philosophy of Libertarians.I guess you have a grasp on the word slander though.
      This helps, since you apparently don't know how corporate income taxes work. Did you even look at any of the companies' 10K filings for the years you cited? Of course not, that is hard work and I don't even know if you can read a balance sheet
      Also, even though my family has been here for over 300 years, according to you, I am not part of the 'We The People', even though if my ancestors failed, I would not be here and you wouldn't even have this country. This is due to the fact that they would be dead and I would not exist. First off, most if not all, the people you listed are not Libertarians nor did you provide proof they are Libertarians.
      Secondly do you even know how personal and corporate income taxes are calculated and did you read any of the companies annual 10-K filings? Of course not, you would have to be a grown up and not an ignorant wreck of a person to even know what a 10 K is.
      Get on a treadmill, get that second chin of fat off your face, then humble your ego and actually research things, instead of copying and pasting shit off the internet and thinking are smart. Sorry Mark, maybe if you educate yourself on finance, economics and tax laws we can have an adult conversation. Until that happens you are just another kid wearing diapers in my mind :) Also, Bernie Sanders supporters are financially illiterate, something you have proved, so you should call yourself 'WE The (smart) People'. Lucian Tritt the reasoning behind 15 dollar minimum wage is to allow people in the low income class the ability to not only support themselves but also support their families in a way that is comfortable and satisfactory(above poverty line). as it stands people on low income jobs are often extremely poor leading to hunger and homelessness. millions of children, in this sophisticated 1st world country, are literally starving because hard working parents are unable to support them. that should be unacceptable in the world's wealthiest country.

    • @MrYuenH
      @MrYuenH 9 років тому +6

      Lucian Tritt the goal is to raise the standard of living of all people. this is one way, not to 'benefit' this specific group, but to allow these hardworking americans lead a decent life.
      and i hope you realize that any policy is for a 'specific' purpose. its the interconnections of the many policies working in tandem that allow for all people to live happily.

    Bernie Sanders sounds more like an economics professor, rather than a politician. However, he's well-read on many issues (both global and national) that plague ordinary working class people and wishes to help establish a great society. Perhaps better yet, a better world. A liberal with common sense and that's well-informed on social factors that torment the disfranchised. He was also the only presidential nominee to address climate change. Sadly, he didn't become the runner up, it was given to Hillary Clinton. If he runs again for president again, he'll get my vote! Sanders 2020!

It's not like Americans are the leading drug manufacturers, either. The large majority of prescription drugs we have here in the US, as Bernie said, are generic pharmaceuticals.
