The p 1800 is so beautiful, the 242 is also perfect, the motors B18 in the 1800 and B21 in the 200 series is almost the same engine one of most reliable engine's ever built. The world record for distance with the original engine is an P 1800 over a million miles.

That 242, well, each to their own, but those mudflaps look funny, and, also, thatmuch money spent on the car and the owner couldn't get engine mounts that don't wobble as much as it was haha.

I think he have a far to agressive cam shaft for that single throttle and standard ECU. Thats why the idle is shit.
@@woodsmanNo1 idle is shit because the engine is not warmed up. Not even stock these engines runs good cold.

Hi. Really like the video. I really enjoyed the beautiful collection of Volvos your friend was nice enough to share. I am wondering, I have aquired a canadian made 1979 242 GT all original in good condition the body is great with miner rust and the interior is all original orange and black GT interior. the car even came with the original casset tape in the glove box which i still have with said car. Im curious if your friend might know maybe how much this car would be if it were in concourse condition. Thanks and look forward to seeing more videos from you.

These cars in Sweden, which are in first class condition, are selling for around 250.000 swedish Krona, which is roughly 30.000 Canadian.

Maybe it's a bit ambitious, but you never know with these guys and their cars.

11 000 euro? That's a real bargain that is.i would pay more,in fact I'm looking for a P 1800 or a P 1800 s.
We get quite a few P1800 coming through, so keep an eye on bilweb auctions and you could pick up a good deal.
