This reminds me of a "Omega Seamaster 120 Jacques Mayol"... Its a very pretty watch! I don't think you buy this watch for its specs... You but this watch knowing that you did something great for the environment and you happen to get an awesome watch in the process.
Yeah, I like the idea of the watch, and the dial is bloody beautiful. But the clasp and lume unfortunately let it down a bit.

Spinnaker makes good and affordable watches but Spinnaker itself doesn't have good service. I broke my Spinnaker Dumas bezel insert, I emailed Spinnaker to sell me a bezel insert, they responded they don't directly sell it but they wanted me to send my watch to one of their authorized service center in the U.S. and email them my receipt so they can track the process. When I asked how much will it cost to fix it, they said first send your watch then the service center will send the estimate. They don't know how much will a bezel insert replacement costs, it is very disappointing because I can replace the bezel insert by myself, instead of paying someone to do it.
If this watch which I paid $400 plus tax was Seiko, Citizen, Swatch group or even Invicta, I could get my bezel insert from modding stores or eBay very cheap and have my watch fixed and back on my wrist.
I think dive watches only need to be 100m wr to be iso certified
You gotta wonder how 500ft of.water resistance isnt enough for diving? Normal dives dont exceed 40ft , even if you go down 75ft how is a 500ft rated watch not holding up to that?
I would agree with this. Most organised wreck dives don't go much further than 60 - 70 metres most of the time. I see some watches with insane water ratings but only saturation divers go that deep and it is very niche. Truth is, you could buy a cheap Casio, perform the oil fill mod and make it capable of diving 1000m. I've watched on another channel some watches far exceed their rating. The most important thing is the crown, as long as it is screw down you'll be fine. If it's a chrono diver, all of the buttons have to be screw down.
It's just how water pressure ratings on watches go I'm afraid. A '30m' watch is only capable resisting splashes. If you fully submerged it, the watch will likely let in water.
Point is, '150m' by the ratings isn't supposed to be capable of diving, so a divers extention is pointless. Also, I doubt anyone would go diving with this watch when other, more capable watches are available.
I'd rather see a clasp that's more useful for everyday life, where it will be much more user-friendly

Pressure testing is done in completely static water. If you keep a 100m watch completely still in 100m of water, it'll withstand it. But if you are wearing the watch on your wrist but you are moving your arms around underwater, it'll add additional pressure on the watch. So you can't take it to the 100m underwater while moving your arms.
That being said, I've heard of professional divers using watches rated to 100m and the watches working fine. But the ISO requires 200m of water resistance at least for the diver certification so that's why a watch isn't considered a diver's watch unless it's rated to 200m.
A good honest review. For me, there is a bit much going on with this watch, the face is too cluttered and the hands are out of proportion.
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of gussl. Their timepieces are of exceptional quality.
I cannot deal with their dials, they look so plasticcy and it's the No.1 reason I've never jumped one. Second reason is their sense of color. It just doesn't click for me.
Lume is a gimmick.
Watches are a gimmick. We still pay for them
