  • Welcome to Twin Elm Farms! On this channel we show what its like to farm in southern Manitoba, Canada. The farm consists of Kendal, wife Lindsay their kids Hayley, Parker, Jaxon and Brock. Kendal's older brother Darryl, wife Heather, their kids Mackenzie, Dylan, Quin and Ryenne. With our right hand man Pieter. We have other part time help throughout the season, Arch (combine operator) Terry (field work) and Rob (cattle help). We crop corn, soybeans, wheat, oats and canola.     Hopefully your feed lot at home can start to dry soon. Great you found some good pasture for them. Cows and calves are looking good. Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it,

    We had a cow that went way past her due date and when she finally calved it was deformed and dead. I guess the calf has to emit cortisol to start the process. If the calf is not viable it can't do that. Hopefully all goes well with your hefer.

      I was worried it had mummified. Something didn't seem right

      Would she be bagging up if calf is dead?

      Maybe. The calf still could be alive in the cow but have something wrong with it and won't make it. Who knows it could be fine
