I just bought one, the cruise control feature has been added to the app now. It's fantastic!
Yes it was later added, good move from NIU. They make awesome escooters I have the KQi3 Max now and i'll be posting a review on it soon.
looks like I've decided and convinced to get one for myself after watching this video. I've been thinking about it for a while now.
Based on your review I just ordered the scooter love the vedio
Have one for a month now, really like it. Best value in the segment. I'm 6'4" and weigh 214 lbs, scooter gets the job done. The App took 10 days to fully connect with the scooter, I now have 100% functionality on it. Cruise control is a plus, top speed of 28 km/h and I am averaging 32-35 kms of range. Surprised with the built quality too.
Yes definitely the best escooter in the segment, quality build, decent range and it feels like it has more power than claimed.
@@Techtablets Oh yeah... I just felt a decline in power when I was around 15% battery left. Could not go past 24 km/h. One con I forgot to mention, I wish either the board was wider or the grip tape could go around the edges because my scooter is getting dirty quicker since I step on the plastic piece there
Does it have cruise control?
@@coliverse Yes you can set it up. Pretty useful.
What about now ? I am at 55 battery cycles, range declined significantly to 10-12 miles (17 kilometers)
Really really good review!! It helped me a lot
Glad it helped!
Chris, About 2 years ago you asked in twitter for a Fold2 offer. I passed you a great offer and after confirming all went good a bought another...Now I see we also wear the same smart-watch!...most beautiful and premium(I also have the titanium strap) watch in the market...we are aligned in technology ;)
Great choice in watches then!
Its amazing so far
Just ordered one today on amazon with the prime day sale
Will be my first e scooter
Arriving Wednesday
Well Enjoy it’s A great first escooter
Me too! Can't wait I also ordered a Hiboy too
Thank you very much for the good review.🌹🌹
Thank you for watching!!
I thought it did have cruise control but that could be the us version idk same model though. Hopefully there will be a firmware upgrade to unlock the motors true full potential when wanted. Also I agree with the grip thing they shouldent move around so easily that’s actually a safety hazard so it the kick start idea you should be able to take that off and use zero start in the app. That’s all easy things there’s really no reason for them not to have already added but they are in the right direction for price and quality I can’t wait to get my new one in in a couple days. I got it for a back up something I could afford I was just shy of the sport version so that bothered me but after really digging into this version you know I’ll take it! Yeah my girlfriend keeps taking my fat tire ebike lmao 😜but now we can both ride something at least.
I love this scooter . It’s absolutely solid and well build. I have little concern about a bit pricey but so what definitely wort it for that price !
Totally agree
@@JohnDoe-es5xh this is my own-free comment. Most important thing is no one paid me even a penny. I don’t even have any scooter but I’m still thinking of buying one of those. Keep your silly idea by yourself and think twice before you say a word 🥊
@@miamiheats9655 Don't lie, man.
@@alejandroperez5368 Bruh, in what way was he lying?
hy today when i was walk on scoter it is stoped and give me
03 on the screen what is the problem
There is now auto cruise settings in app. If you switch on the Auto Cruise in the app and maintain the speed for 5 sec, scooter will maintain that speed like auto cruise.
I got 2 of them they are so fun
Nice review!
Where is the place that you are filming?
Denia, Med coast of Spain.
Hey Techtablets, awesome review as always,. It would be great if you can Test new NIU kqi3 ,.
Coming soon!
It's the NIU KQI 3 Pro version I have. Spoiler, it's very good better than this!
@@Techtablets awesome, i cant wait.. just a small tip: it would be great if you can mention max. Allowed Weight of your scooter reviews, because the majority is only 100 kg max, and new NIU its max. Driver Weight 120 kg.., im 110 kg 💪 ..
Looks good 👍 did you tried any Vsett scooters ? I’ve recently saw Vsett 9+ and 8+ and for a under 25kg it’s a beasts with LG batteries
No I haven’t tried them but would love to review those.
How can you remove the wheels if you get a puncture
is there any issue with me buying a used NIU scooter and the current owner has the app on his phone.... how do I deal with that?
Looks like very nice scooter with good battery and enough power for simple commute. Local suppliers for Europe is great to see with fast delivery times. But you lost me at no cruise control... Thanks for showing it to us
Yes, true I do hope they can add it. Or somehow I missed the option?
Cruise control in the app according to other reviewers
How much do you think
I got this on a sale for 370 euros (377 dollars) No bike shop in town wants to change the back tire on my Xiaomi 1S so i went with this. Gonna do the honeycomb tire install myself and sell the 1S
Got a 3 kilometer ride to work so i don't need a powerhouse or anything like that
that sale is insane nice man
I'v got information on a lot of Forums that all Niu scooters wont go over 22 kmh gps measured speed, the scooter will show on the screen 25, but actual speed is less.
I heard something different than the word 'Deck'.
Well if I said what you think I did it would have sounded different, even with my bad New Zealand accent :D
You hear what you want 🤷♂️
Me too 😂
Hi, I have the xiaomi pro 2 scooter. What is bothering me is the vibration over even slightly rough roads. Is it better with this scooter? Thanks
Stem wobble? Yeah the lack of suspension causes the whole e scooter to vibrate despite the 8.5 inch Pneumatic tyres. heard the Xiaomi 4 Pro e scooter uses 10"inch tyres now. 😃
NiU is taking over the market price in this price range !
And I can see why! I wish I got onto this brand earlier…
@@Techtablets i have the kqi3 pro i love it .
Hopefully I will review that one it also looks great!
Great if your weight is under 75kg , otherwise small up hill and you will need to push it . Real range with 75kg person is 28km , 90kg person range shrinks to 23km
Is there any video that shows a trye change for this one?
Sorry I don't
Do you find that the engine is a little loud? Mine is loud in my opinion and wondered if that is normal.
A little bit but normal crazy.
My US model has cruise control, just had to enable it in the settings.
Ah okay seems missing for EU models maybe a law thing?
Thanks for confirming I ordered mine :D
Hey, is it better than gotrax g4?
Haven't reviewed that model so can't really say.
There is a cruise control now
Almost perfect, wish it was a little more powerful....maybe 500w with 1000w peak?
That would be good, it would then handle the steeper climbs with ease if it had a 500W with 1000W peak. But it would also hit that battery hard.
the KQi3 Pro at 700euro has peak 700w
Hopefully I can also review that one!
Are the tires tubeless?
Yes they are
I just bought one of these yesterday 🤣
Have you got it or waiting for the delivery? If so what do ytou think? I'm so impressive with the build quality of everything, the appl and over all would even consider the Xiaomi escooters with these NIU scooters.
@@Techtablets waiting on delivery!
ah well congrats you'll really enjoy this scooter they are very nice!
@@Techtablets ty sm!! 😁😁 good to hear I made the right choice!
1:13 is why they love it
Hi. Can I still use it with out an app? I don't own a cell phone.
It needs to be first scanned and set up with the app. Android or iPhone. So find someone that can do it for you that has a phone?
@@Techtablets Thanks for the reply. Ill have to find a scooter that doesn't require an app.
im 143lb, is it wort to go to the kqi3 who is 100$ expensive?
I think it is
1:14 It has a what?
Where is this place? It's beautiful!
Denia, med coast of Spain.
Here in the Netherlands, NIU is actually an established manufacturer of electric mopeds. Xiaomi and Ninebot are the newer brands with something to prove.
If our dumb govt could finally legalize the things, that is..
How much so you weigh? If you don't mind
81 kilos
Scooped one up at Best Buy for $420 on sale.
Great price!
what phone are you using at minute 5:00 ?
K30 Pro Zoom still an amazing phone.
Easy to unlock speed
I've never ridden an escooter or any electric vehicle. I wish they were legal in my state.
How do i get past 15km/h?
You mean 25km/h, well so far there is no known way to unlock or hack the speed.
@@Techtablets mine won t pass 15km i heard some guys Saying u need to use it to unlock the 25
You know why Xiaomi scooters are better...spare parts are easy to buy.
That's true + tons of accessories and mods
that front brake is a nono, i have tried the kqi 3 pro using only the front brake (like the kqi 3) and its so dangerous. you will be in the floor in a second, i have more than 2000km experience in my xiaomi pro 2 and although i admit the brakes are not amazing, at least i know i wont loose my front wheel
I didn’t feel it slipping at all but yes any front brake scooter you must be careful I think this is why it has a drum brake at the front and not disc to apply less braking force. What I find more dangerous is the Xiaomi scooter front wheel drive I had a fall with mine going up a small path with almost polished concrete the front wheel under acceleration slipped and before I knew it I was almost face planting the ground.
@@Techtablets yes I also understand that front wheel motor is dangerous, but something I learnt is to never accelerate on corners, even if its a small one. I also fell on pavement, someone had spilled water and Portuguese sidewalk pavement + water is like ice so I went sliding for 5m 😂
I don't know if it's bad for the motor or something but rear motor + brake would be the best combination
@@Techtablets Thanks for the brilliant review as always! How would you compare it with the Xiaomi Pro 2? Which one would you prefer for commuting? Wanted to go for the Pro 2 as it is still light enough to carry it around whilst being more powerful than the 1S. However, this one is on sale on PrimeDay now and I might give it a shot. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!
Still a good scooter, but this has a slightly better build, better rear mudguard (the Xiaomi's are easier to break) rear wheel drive and better lights. But if the price is a lot cheaper then go for it.
@@Techtablets Ty!
"Wide deeckk".....
Me: straight to the comments 😂
😂
it has cruise control
Hi, depends on the region if it allows it or not.
Nice looking e-scooter , they should pack 800 watt motor and 48V 26Ah battery and I will buy it
Shutup
It's 600w is more than enough sport mode got me doing wheelys 😂
@@ogofficiallyghost7665 600w enough ? no comments
the scooter is awesome much better than Xiaomi and with 48V battery with only 500€ very robust construction with lights front and back like a motorcycle..!!
If you get xiaomi pro 2 and get 10 inch tires, you have the same specs and it is lighter
But this has a better build and rear wheel drive I think it’s better.
this has 10 inch tires also
1:14 Just like me.
25kmph that's cute. You need to unlock it. I have a custom Xiao Niu uqi sport with a 1500w engine.
Well I want to keep it legal. Is that the big ride on scooter? 125cc style?
@@Techtablets Yeah. But it's set up in a way that the speedo says only 25 but I have the phone holder and Niu app with gps and speedo going.
Mine looks like a motorcycle but they do mods for even the scooters I was on the motorway and a guy went past me 80kph going uphill (not recommended) you need to put in a custom battery for that like a 72v.
But with the KQI just the unlock is fine it'll say 25km but will go up to 45.
Theres a speed unlock for it?
For these KQi2/3 models I don't think it's possible.
@@Techtablets We did it on my mates Ninebot scooter. Might have to change the controller. But usually you can go to the NIU store and they can just connect the computer to it and do it. It's in Chinese though.
$210 off @ Best Buy right now
That's a very good deal for a great escooter.
do yourself a favor and don't buy scooters without suspension. Might be good enough to drive around F1 race tracks but other than that you'll regret it. Will wear down the ball bearings and your nerves.
I had a Xiaomi scooter with a lot of kms, never had a issue with that but road it on the road and smooth paths. What was my main issue and still is with a model like this is punctures. Got way to many of those until I used TireJect tire sealant.
@@Techtablets thanks
I live on a dirt road and this scooter handles that fine. It's a dream on actual pavement.
@@Techtablets Where is the video made?? Mallorca?? Formentera?
hahahaha
I don't agree because with Xiaomi scooter you get another level of mods.
It just shows 25Km/h, but in reality its 22 at best. That's extremely annoying.
If your in the eu delete the app download again and choice us app your escooter will go 38km speed
Really? I thought that trick didn't work.
Tell me you use iPhone without telling me 😂
@@ogofficiallyghost7665 does this actually work
Come again… a wide what?
Looks deceiving will let you down and leave you stranded bad advertising probably 36v power bs48 sales gimmick
what? lol its 48v bud
They junk clungers lithium wasteland
That is honestly a horrible scooter. From my perspective, this video look only to promote. Not powerful enough for the climbs, the quality might look alright, but for 499€, from my experience, its a steal. this scooter should be around 250 max. from my experiences having a 180€ scooter(250w), the first Mi Pro(350w, modified boost), zero 10x(3600w peak), janobike t10 (3600w peak) and a laotie es18 (6000w peak), this scooter is not worth it. I don't want to bring negativity, it's a well put together video:), but I feel that some people might think *oh yea cool scooter, I will buy it*, then be disappointed.
So you own one or have tested one? How do you know it's horrible just looking at the spec sheet right?
Well I've reviewed a lot of scooters now so don't be fool by just wattage and top speed only there are many other factors. That climb I did was 30 degrees they are only rated for 15-20 degree climbs so it's normal that it slowed and I had to push it (I could have cut that from the video but didn't) I've just reviewed the Splach Twin, 1000W peak x 2 as it's dual motor it rockets up climbs. But it doesn't have the build and finish like NIU. Or the really good lights. You also have to remember that at least where I live 25km/h is the max legal limit. For an A to B scooter is great for that. For those that want a super powerful and fast scooter wouldn't be looking at these models to start with.
I think the prices of electric scooters increased. I haven't seen any adult scooter for 180€.
The cheapest and also on paper (and from reviews) looking better than Xiaomi seems to be iScooter i9.
This scooter is badass u never tried it so u wont know
