you can also hit the 2nd button then hit trace, it will bring up a menu, you can find the approximate (it usually pinpoints the correct location) intersection by selecting "intersect", hit enter to confirm both lines and it will calculate the intersection for you at the bottom of the screen
It is also found by graphing both equations. Then use 2nd followed by the trace button. under this menu, choose #5 Intersection. Hit enter 3 times and you have the answer.
so if I want to solve for two linear equations that intersect with each other, I would always have to use the substitution method instead of the elimination method instead?
It is a combination of software. TI Connect CE to take screen grabs of the TI Calculator Screen. Photoshop to place the screen grabs on a photo of the TI calculator and to place red arrows and red circles. Save the Photoshop image as a 16x9 jpg image. Then place that jpg image in Sony Vegas Movie Studio as the Video Editing software to put everything together. It is very time intensive to make one video like this.
This did not work for me. The graphing of the functions only works for one function at a time apparently. Some things were left out of this video. Seemed to be explained well enough for others though. I'll have to try another video.
i got a 95 on my test because of you thank youuuuu
Great! I love hearing stories like this!
Thank you, I was getting so frustrated and had to order a book that won't be here until almost the mid term, this helped!!
You explain this more clearly than my college professor 😭

Thank you! This short cut helps a lot during a timed exam!
You're still saving lives and time two years later, thanks.
I LOVE YOU
Thank you for the clear and concise steps!

Thank you for the clear instructions.
Your awesome keep the videos coming!

What software did you use to create this video? It's very impressive.

I forgot to mention, then do my voice over for the video and place it in Sony Vegas.

Very clear, thanks!
