Great vid! Worth noting that RNL to note and PIT is different when using scales, since PIT applies after the scale and jumps by scale degrees. Changing the note is before the scale and the note then gets snapped to the scale. So you'll want a higher range for RNL on note to get the same range.

Yup, that should work as long as the new card is formatted like the old one. Also not every sd card works well with the m8. There's a list online somewhere about sd card performance, but I don't have the link right now.
I thought HOP jumped to the next phrase (at row specified), whereas in LSDJ you could tell it to hop within the existing phrase. Maybe you've only got one pattern here so the effect is the same?
Yes, if there are more phrases in the chain, then it will jump to the position of the next phrase, but since there's only one, it will jump within the same phrase. I should have pointed that out, otherwise it might be a bit misleading. Good catch 😉

TBR (Timbre) is only available for macrosynth. It maps to whatever the chosen synth engine wants it to be, so that's why the name is a little vague.
