Julius prolly did play this game, in my headcanon Simon Belmont owned a Famicom and this game (Nintendo execs gave it to him for advertising/promoting the game) Idk but it's a fun idea
That would make sense. Considering how many times the many battles between Dracula and the Belmont clan have been mentioned as legends within the Castlevania universe, the idea of having one or many of those legends being dramatized as either books, theatre plays, operas, musicals, movies or even video games inside the Castlevania universe itself isn't too far fetched. So who knows, in addition to hearing the many legends of his ancestors, young Julius Belmont probably played this game and was inspired to have this level music as his own theme song.
I find it infuriating that only Michiru Yamane is credited for "great music" in the Castlevania series. I love - love and LOVE her work, but god damnit, the first three games have some of the most memorable tracks in the franchise. Heart of Fire is the perfect example. Good job with the quality!
Satoe Is to be placed next to Yamane. Without his skills and endeavour trying to create music for an 8-bit cartridge, perhaps Castlevania would have never been the hit it happened to be.
Of course it's hard as hell, it's training you to see if you have the strength and courage to face the Grim Reaper. From the true expert on himself. 💀💀💀
@@2006arpg Sounds to me like you have trouble getting past him if you seen the other Castlevania videos on UA-cam it shows that holy water is the best weapon to us against him if you hold onto it and get a double or triple attack and plant it right where he comes down from the sky. When I was younger I myself got frustrated as I had trouble getting past him as the advice in Nintendo Power said and I quote: The boomerang or dagger will make sure he doesn't come back to haunt you.
Beat track in the game. Its like the music itself is pushing you forward through this, the hardest level in the game, going like "yeah it's impossible, but come on, you gotta keep going"
This isn’t the hardest level stage 6 is with needing rng to go your way to make it through and having to manipulate enemy spawns 5 is pure platforming and combat and is perfect.
It's okay on it's own. But I think it's really cool how that added a whole new, better part to this in later games, like aria of sorrow. Making it a true masterpiece!
Julius. For the whip powers. The descendant is stronger than the ancestor because the whip give him his strength. So undoubt Julius belmont, the belmont that destroyed Dracula, is the strongest ever. Also this is his song 🤣
Supposedly each generation is stronger than the last, i doubt that it means literally more powerful such as richter's magic being more powerful than juste even if juste was particularly good at magic or that if we pit julius vs trevor it means that julius blinks and trevor dies. The Belmonts are a clan of warriors, so their previous experiences stack with each descendant and their training becomes more refined, maybe even learning new things to add to their training. Thus making each descendant a better hunter overall with each generation. Besides, people seem to forget that yes, julius killed dracula but it was the hakuba priests that sealed his resurrection cycle, julius had nothing to do with the seal other than hiding the vampire killer in castlevania to strenghten the seal. Yet a lot people assume that somehow he killed dracula so hard that he decided to never resurrect again. In summary, probably julius, but it wouldn't be the stomp everyone thinks and it would be extremely hard, and if for some reason two belmonts decide to gang up on him, he would probably lose.
Even without paying attention to the whole "each new generation is stronger than the last" thing, just by looking at the Belmonts' feats should be enough to determine the top placers. Leon was unable to kill Dracula in his lifetime, since Dracula fled before he could do anything. Trevor was the first to kill Dracula, with the assistance of Grant, Sypha, and Alucard (The Netflix series left Grant in the dust and I'm still mad about that). Christopher was the first to kill Dracula solo. Sonia was unfortunately made non-canon so this feat goes to him. Simon killed Dracula twice, and the second time, he had to deal with bitchy townsfolk and a fang in his back. Juste delayed Dracula's resurrection by going into a split castle to save his friends. Not to mention his Belnades magic or finding time to decorate a room. Richter was the first to make use of Item Crashes. A case can be made for Juste, but he combines subweapons with magic books while Richter just has the subweapons. Julius was the guy who perma-killed Dracula. Even in his 50's, his Grand Cross shakes the entire castle, and he can undo a dark seal that not even Alucard could break. My top 3 would be Julius, then Richter, then Juste. In my eyes, Juste represents a significant power increase in the family, and he (as well as those who came after) would likely stomp the rest of the Belmonts.
@@ADoodGuy Julius didn't technically perma-kill Dracula though. Dracula's powers were "sealed" and transferred into Soma. The bad ending shows what happens if Dracula's power takes over and Chaos wins. He becomes Dracula reborn.
And to think that Julius Belmont could have played this very game, being 7 when this was released.

This level was hard as fricc, that hallway, how evil. The song really captures the feeling that you're close to the end of the game.
You really have your heart on fire when you hear this. Best track in the entire game
This level is the most difficult for me, but I love the track you hear.
This is the best song, for the best stage, in the best game of this series.
This series, which is the best.

The dungeon is the best stage from the first game with the best boss.
