Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Like for the NES version, I'll write up all the Ending scenes in the description (note that the translation is not done by me, instead I'm copying the one used in the english patch for the game by ViceTranslations on Romhacking.net) Ralph Belmond (Trevor C. Belmont): "After such a great sacrifice, the ba...

Переглядів 392 години тому
Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Dracula's third phase is a lot easier here than on the NES because the lasers are smaller, but even then it's not a cake walk if you don't have much health left from the first two phases. Fun fact about Dracula's sprite: the tip of it's left wing has a bugged tile (making it seem tilted to the front); th...
Akumajō Densetsu (Famicom): Big Battle (Extended)
Переглядів 482 години тому
Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - BIG BATTLE. NES Comparison: the Famicom version plays the part right after the intro in a slightly higher key compared to the NES one (credits to TheCuttingRoomFloor - tcrf.net/Castlevania_III:_Dracula's_Curse/Regional_Differences#Music) This little fun fact puts the japanese version a little bit higher ...
Akumajō Densetsu (Famicom): Overture (Extended)
Переглядів 812 години тому
Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Picture this: You finish the second part of block A; The infamous stair appears, along with a raging storm on the horizon and the machinegun-wielding moon; Overture starts playing. This song knows how to prepare someone for the final battle. NES Comparison: no comparison to really make here, the Famicom ...

Переглядів 732 години тому
Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Listening to this for 15 minutes is an experience I would not recommend to anyone (still salty about the missed opportunity to have another song from the end game play in the last block btw). NES Comparison: the international release features a different BPM and makes the song play faster. I don't see it...

Переглядів 10912 годин тому
Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Riddle is the final stage BGM in my heart and no one will take it from me. Instead of this, though, it is used in the most rage inducing set of stages of the entire game (every annoying gimmick is here except for the falling blocks, thank god for it). NES Comparison: this is the most complete version bet...

Composer: Satoe Terashima Arrangers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: Vampire Killer The composers of Castlevania 3 managed to elevate the original song by Satoe Terashima even more than the version in CV1, props to them! NES Comparison: sadly for the NES believers, this version is too good compared to the international one. Game Footage Recorded on...

Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - This is a top 10 theme in the franchise, there's no discussion there. But can we talk about the gourgeous backgrounds sported by the Sunken City and the Castle Courtyard??? In my honest opinion, these stages are really the best this game has to offer. NES Comparison: It was hard for the american develope...

Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Chill with the skeletons, mermen and moving platform to this masterpiece of a song. Akumajō Densetsu (Famicom): Nightmare (Extended)

Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - The most daunting, creepy and atmospheric song in the game without a single doubt. Composers: Yoshinori Sasaki, Jun Funahashi, Yukie Morimoto, Hidenori Maezawa Other Names: - Maybe this is the shortest and easiest block in the game, but Dead Beat surely doesn't go easy on you. Love this song! (Not so much the Giant Toads) NES Comparison: Like for the previous theme, Dead Beat works great on both sound systems, so it's a tie again! Might also just be the Tracks name but am i the only one who, especially with the Dracula x chronicles version associate this track with Frankenstein?
Fun fact: according to the japanese manual, this giant bird thing isn't actually dracula but rather the evil god he resurrected to use his powers. He also made two cameo appearances in hod and cod respectively.
The best ending theme ever
I’m so happy this channel is back again
Always liked this version But only commenting because I want to say the original Sypha design used here is still by far the best one. Also the only one that gets across that she's facing being a guy whilst also being reserved and standoffish at that point in time. Also always liked CV3 Trevor, both the design referenced here and the manual/jp box art design. In fact they're still my favourite trevor designs even though unlike Sypha his later redesigns do tend to be pretty cool themselves. (Netflix Sypha is good too but doesn't suit the original character descriptions so much and I still prefer the original)
Fun fact: US version doesn't change key for this phase
I love that Grant is using skeleton bones to play the drums lol
Love this artwork, and great music too
The midi instruments remind me so much of Rondo of Blood's OST
that artwork is really cool
Author of the artwork here, thank you ❤
Fun fact: this song appeared in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and in obscure mobile game Castlevania: Grimoire of souls
Possible new entry to the list: Vampire Survivor's DLC : Ode to Castlevania (link to VS's official "Bloody Tears" OST) ua-cam.com/video/tHT_UvgjQFs/v-deo.html I think it counts since Konami gave Poncle (Vampire Survivor's developer) the OK to use their characters, music, art, everything this expansion.
I always found it odd how this plays in PoR. It's like every single CvDS game required a song from this, lol
Glad i'm not the only one who thinks the moon in the nes games looks it's holding a gun
Ready for the epic battle with The Count..... *press foward instead of up at the stairs* *Falls*
Next Fun fact: US version has faster tempo Very fitting for final stage and rising water
15:33 this gotta be the best version
Ah yes, the game that’s good for 2 minutes.
Sharp 68000 by a country mile, not even debatable.
glad you're back
yes
idk but something about the way this version sounds kinda reminds me of the Rebirth version
Symphony of the Night was on PSOne
PSX is another way the PlayStation 1 is usually called!
12:04 When you realize you have only one minute left to finish an exam and you still have a whole page left:
Genuinely this feels like classical music its nuts
Aria of Sorrow versión is my fav so far!!🎉
Fun fact: Did you know that Deja vu is remix of older song from Castlevania Vampire Killer
NAUR... WAOWWW!
Thanks, but I guess everyone already knows this, with vampire killer being one of the most famous songs from CV, right up there with bloody tears.
i thought i was feeling some sort of... *deja vu*
correct me if i'm wrong but is this the only remix in the series to not be called vampire killer ? (excluding songs that only contain parts of vampire killer and not full on remixes)
@@oofman1999 I think so, yes. There is admiration of the clan, the ending for Lament of innocence and some versions of symphony, but like you said, it contains parts of vampire killer, not the whole song. Isn’t there a weird remix in the Saturn version of symphony?
Fun fact: jp version repeats section A twice, US version plays it once. Weird choice for me
Man I love how much richer the bass is in this compared to the US version
I like this song so much At the same time, I think this could fit easily with a megaman nes game like with a fire boss
CMF channel my beloved.
"Sigh" (Inserts cartridge)
I'm getting heavy circle of moon ptsd..
The JP soundtrack is so much better than the USA/EU one, and this is one of the best ways to compare the two versions, the other ones IMO are ''Beginning'', ''Anxiety'' and ''Overture''
So fun fact for this track is: This track uses saw for melody but only for intro (the funniest thing is that it using 3 channels for echo, 2 channels from 2A03 and 1 channel from VRC6)
Fun fact: Channel 1 of VRC6 is playing echo for channel 2 But for the intro it's playing countermelody And it's the only one track in game that use VRC6 channel for melody and for echo (every other track use this channel only for echo or only for melody)
I prefer minimalistic 2a03 version of this track Less is better
Funky Dracula Basement The best stage in the game
I want to say that I prefer this version than US This one has little melody that make this version more full I have to make MMC5 version of this
Dracula X Chronicles BEST VERSION
Очень классно! Спасибо!
I had to check Fun Fact: Chorus and outro have one melody more than 2A03 version You can hear at this melody at 0:29 to 0:41 I love how this little melody interact with bass and melody in soprano (I love these dissonanses in soprano, this tension is amazing)
Fun fact: This theme was remixed for Dracula Kid first stage
Okay next fun fact In the US version, they changed the hand they shake with
Fun fact for today: JP version uses full chords for Chorus but US version uses arpeggioes and this is the only use of arpeggioes for entire 8 bit castlevania soundtrack (for stage music not for sfx)
Please keep doing this fun facts, they make my day every time!!! (Also this is another reason why I prefer the NES version compared to this)
@@castlevaniamusicforever I have plenty of fun facts for this game
One of the best CV3 songs Even US version is pretty cool
When the woods are angry
