As someone who was born in the Pakistani diaspora and lives very far away from Pakistan, this video made me very nostalgic! The song, the ingredients, the drink ... everything is so quintessentially Pakistani! Brought a tear to my eye. God bless Pakistan.
My favorite subscription, i love each week tastemade brings a different part of the worlds best beverage recipes to my attention.Keep up the great work guys!
It makes me feel like strolling down old places, back in time, somewhere in India or Pakistan, tho I have never been there before. The video and music are just as awesome
This whole series is sheer perfection! Concept, styling, direction, editing, humor, everything is just brilliant and I would marry you for your music collection alone!!
Thank you - glad you enjoyed it.
This is called Thandai in India. Beautiful. Makes me so happy seeing this :) Thank you!
Seriously, i love all your video in Thirsty For!!! You arranged things so perfectly that makes every drink is so delicate and beautiful! Thumbs up!
I can't express enough how much I love and appreciate your work. Not only is the quality of the videos amazing, but your attention to details is impeccable. How do you get the music perfect each and every time?
I love the quality of these videos! It's a pleasure to watch these!
This recipe, the background music, and then the end message; 'Aap ki sehat main', 'To your health', Seriously, this was a treat to the Pakistani eyes! =D
I'm so grateful to the team of team of tastemade for making this incredible video. Not only is it beautifully shot, the recipe is as authentic as it can get. Thank you so much for showcasing a glimpse of Pakistani culture to rest of the world! آپ کا بہت شکریہ
I enjoy the ambiance of the Thirsty For series, the photography that compliments the creating of the unique drink along with the wonderful music! Great series.
We filmed it a few weeks ago - it's coming soon!
I've had this growing up, and still do whenever I visit my house in summers. We call it Thandai and when I saw the thumbnail I read it as Thandai only. This is a cooling, refreshing drink and this video took me straight to my childhood when my grandfather used to make it for us, he did not use an electronic blender, he'd use a grinding stone to grind almonds and seeds.🤍
This is such a beautiful, well made video series that I look forward to it every week!
its urdu, not arabic. Urdu uses a modified version of the arabic script to writes its language. the beh with 3 dots is peh, it represents the p sound. like rabia said it says Aap ki sehat main in urdu which in urdu means to your health.
If you don't have time to let the almonds stay in the fridge for 2 hours you can also pour boiling water over and let it sit for 30 sec to 1 min, then drain and pour cold water over them till they are cold enough to handle. This will loosen the skin quickly. If some of them have stubborn skin just pour them another shot of boiling water.
*these videos. Goodness.
I look forward to these videos every week! Great job!
ohhhhh GOD i cant believe it!!!!!! dis drink is frm my country PAKISTANNNNN :)))))......luv u guys so muchhhhhhh.......thank u so so much........luv frm PKAISTAN

I love how you guys or showcasing cultures all around the world :)
I watched all of the other "Thirsty for" videos yesterday...THANK YOU FOR POSTING!
FINALLY a recipe where I have all the ingredients!!!
Thank you! I don't know why we tend to generally forget that Pakistan and India were once the same country with the same gorgeous and rich cultural influences. I will confess one of my greatest guilty pleasures is watching Bollywood movies on Netflix. All.Night.Long. I would love to visit one day but alas!for now I can only do so vicariously via Netflix and Hulu.*sigh*
beautiful drink with the rose petals :)
You guys always seem to pick the best music!!!
Please do Thandai!!! It's similar to this! And falooda with rooh afza :)
I love this so much you guys, thank you for show casing our country, ps: I should it to my dad who used to be a kabadi wrestler, and he showed us some moves and he really loves that you uploaded too!
Thank you!
a LIL SAFRON?! That's like $8 worth.
Kidding aside, I love what you guys are doing. This is one of my favorite channels
The music is SO catchy! Love it.
I look forward to these Every week!
I love these videos, but it always seems like you guys use a different item every week to strain the liquid. What makes a nut milk bag different from cheesecloth?
*u* I never get tired of this videos.
Do you not add any sweetener? Please advise. Thanks.
always love the music in Thirsty For!
I'm Pakistani and never heard of this lol looks delicious though.
Nice song choice! The (late) Madam Noor Jahan ...one of my favorite singers :)
YUM. this looks so good and interesting to me. maybe i'll even make a dairy free version of this with fresh almond milk for my channel! i love the sound of all those ingredients together. cheers!
I love these videos so so much. Please keep them going. I just wished I could get all the ingredients to recreate this in Buenos Aires :(
This is also called Thandai...you guys shd do variations of these coz there r so manyyyyy yummier versions of this and in the summer ohhh yeahhh!!! Try an ingredient called 'sabja' which goes into a dessert called 'Falooda' ...you guys shd do Falooda
ikr it just goes with the drink
Thank you for showing something from Pakistan too.. we have a rich culture.... Try out the recipe of Satu .... its a famous summer drink.
We usually substitute the dry rose petals with rose syrup (bc rose petals are hard to get).
** INDIA - PUNJAB REPPINNN!
this is my favorite channel ever you deserve way more subscribers you should make bubble tea also PLEASE
Rose water is much much stronger than the petals. The petals have a really subtle flavor.
thadal wow tasty
please make a korean drink called "shikhye"!
These are really interesting! And the music and imaginary are always top notch!
Do you think you can do Korean Barley Tea? It's always so refreshing in the summer. :)
Visinata? It's Romanian originally, but we drink it in Greece too.
This should be top comment, so everyone isn't complaining about the name.
GREEEK FRAPPE!!!! I have a greek friend and she tends to make things complicated for the people at starbucks to make Greek Frappe. Lol! good stuff though.
one of the best drinks available in northern India :D
Wow really? I really liked the song. Matches well.
Obviously almonds are a big factor in this drink, you're making almond milk basically, but would it be any good without the almonds? I have a nut allergy so...yeah...would the spiced milk w/o the almonds still taste good?
Oh, could you maybe be doing something with coconut milk, please? That would be so great to see!
Best part of every week!
Wow looks amazing have to try this!
where do you get all these recipes from? love all your videos!!!!
It's actually Thandai, and adding a little sugar would make it taste even better :)
The six people who disliked this video are just no damn fun..........looks great!!
Both the names are correct.
kinda like horchata, but with a crazy mix! Too bad i have no idea where to buy good rose pedals..
i feel refreshed just watching this =)

Thank you so excited to see it ^^
this song is the best :D
+Jaqueline Grier BEST SONG!
It's so pretty!
I'm pretty sure it's thandai not thandal- in Punjabi we call it shardai. :)
this is a traditional drink in my village as a sindhi I can say this is the correct word for us
Oh and does it matter the kind of milk you use? Cow/Goat/Soy?
Saffron is quite cheap at the Indian/Pakistan grocery store. :)

been making Holunderblütensirup for ages now and have a foolproof recipe
Could you use a cheese cloth to strain?
It is called as Thandai.....and not Thandal........awesome video......
I am looking forward to your video from TOKYO.
It would be really cool if you could make a video on bubble tea.
you guys are the bomb!
YUM!!!
awesome
Woah! Top off with saffron?:O what an expensive drink
suppose to use white poppy seeds
Great video, however it is called Thandai and Thandal, lost in translation I suppose.
Can we replace cantaloupe seed with something else a bit similar?
You guys should do one on shikhye, korean rice punch :
A PINCH OF SAFFRON?? BUT IT'S LIKE ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE SPICES IN THE WORLD!!
KVASS(bread drink) OR SBITEN PLEEEAASEEE!!!!greetings from Russia :)
will a coffee filter work to strain the milk ?
You should make a filipino drink next!! :)
Is rose water ok to use instead of rose petals?
the video says they drink it in India and Pakistan. It did NOT actually say who created it.
i am Muslim so i can read Arabic ( don't know what any of it means though...) . the second letter is a beh ( second in the Arabic alphabet ) so why does it have 3 dots on the bottom? isn't it usually one? do you know?
This fuckin song is the bane of my existence
