armor does jack shit but health from ambulance works. i remember i figured it out when i was a kid without help from the internet and it was amazing when i discovered cj can survive a fall from any height but doing the ambulance missions past level 12 will make the bar bigger and once you fall from a high place it will take 99% health away and leave 1% so try not to get shot or get tapped by a car when going to refill health.
