@adamvseverything could you please ask your editor to add more chapters? I watch these to sleep and it’s hard to figure out where I need to resume the next night. If it was like a chapter per settlement in this run it would be perfect! Thanks!
To the editor: You are doing a great job, really love the full edit versions, lovely short references, nostalgic notes to familiar movies and quotes... Nice Work
I do want to thank you for answering a bunch of questions on stream for people, because i've learned so much from these videos. its clear that you love this game and have a lot of passion for teaching.
i learned smth when you try to perform surgery to remove something with a bad medical level is that you can a streak of surgery failure i failed to remove a right eye 7 times well thanks to that it reached level 8ish
Watching this I realize how much I'd love for crafting to have a tab at the bottom where you can set global craft options, similar to auto slaughter and such, where all applicable workbenches will attempt to craft what you've set up globally, in addition to whatever you set up for individual workbenches
i love the gradual transition from 'this is a fun novel idea!' to 'this is pain. still fun, but also pain.' caravans and exploration in rimworld REALLY need some love
I can't believe this is out so soon, these runs are enough content for a week, over 5 hours of interesting, original content. Please never stop making these videos.
I understand that Adam was disappointed by the anticlimactic ending but I thought it was actually super unique and fun. I've never seen anything like it. Loved watching the run in this format.
Only an hour into this but this feels like the platonic ideal of playing Rimworld, none of that farmbox stuff, no massive cheese, just dealing with everything that Randy sends at you and always adapting to new environments.
I like to imagine the empire came to help out because they wanted to see if those crazy cave men they'd watched roam half the planet could actually make it to space.
Maybe warveils are an option when dealing wirh toxicity on a low tech level. Ist only a toxic resistance of 35% I think, but it also helps against tox granades and rot stink. I personally always forgett that they added this feature, but it can be usefull! Btw: thanks for the edid. Its a lot of funn watching these!
This was certainly the most creative play style I've ever seen you do. Way more stressful than any other run (bar the actual launch), but the sheer uncertainty of the migrations added a whole new level of gameplay and finally put some use to RW's ridiculously oversized map. Congrats Adam!
Not only do I super appreciate the 98% Adam content, the editor content is so freaking good and well placed that I’m almost excited for the next editor note. These guys clearly don’t know where they are going but at least the editor(s) are aware of relevant memes. Memes > mushrooms
There is a wild men/tribe mod from vanilla expanded that lets you start even earlier in the research tree, and you can't (at the start) research normally, you have to do a "ritual" where your tribe gathers and talks about stuff and it gives research value based on ritual quality. If you don't choose a research, it adds it randomly to things available. That would have been a cool alternative to no research for something like this.
@@fearalice vanilla faction expanded - tribals Found it, thanks. I stopped looking at faction expanded since there were so many that it started to clutter my games but this one... I love playing as tribals so i'll love this one too.
Man, "dubs mint menus" could have really saved you some time setting up bills in this run, but I guess one QOL mod leads to more. Great to watch something completely different anyhow - thanks for the content!
a few hours ago i was playing a nomad tribal run and this video freaked me out becaue i did a similar thing not to long ago and i was not awake for any of the streams because we are in diffrent time zones
I absolutely love the light modding! It enhances gameplay so much without breaking your value of keeping your streams recognizable as Rimworld to new players.
It's clear that Adam has never been stuck in his house for long periods of time, then gone over to the neighbouring town for a day. It's such a good mood boost that lasts for days!
Random traveler or trade caravan passing by over hears someone calling one of the cows God, so they jokingly say to them "what do you milk from God? Miracles?" And the neanderthals are like "Heretic!!! Burn them at the stake!" And the travelers are just like "oh what fresh hell did i just start"
Loved this. Always wanted to see you do a travel to the ship run, thanks. :) Edit: Exploration Mode is missing from the mod list in the description. I was curious what added the world map fog of war and found it in your vod descriptions
Simple Sidearms mod has options to change raiders spawning with extra weapons. There is a sidearm chance option and a sidearm value option. It can be adjusted so that only you will have sidearms, or you can turn the value down so raiders only spawn with sidearm throwing rocks. Simple Sidearms - Switch Weapons mod lets your pawns automatically swap to their sidearms when appropriate (relative to target distance).
I hope you'll do more nomad runs eventually. Early to mid game is usually the most interesting part to me and each time you change map it's almost a fresh start while still having a continuous story.
I've clicked through like 50 times and am not seeing it. Are you sure? Could be that I am half asleep and on phone, but let me know if you have exact timestamps (where each start or such).
2:26:00 I know this is one month out but… With simple side-arms, it’s best to adjust settings so that things that would be notably too heavy (much like longswords) would not be able to be used as a sidearm. So if someone is using say a sniper rifle, the max they can use as a side arm is a knife or at most a gladius.
4:30:00 I noticed that Elcrab and Snowbaby were able to be selected in the 2nd caravan. Could it have been that the caravan was waiting at the edge of the map for Elcrab and Snowbaby despite them already being off the map? Still stupid. But that might be the reason it happened?
I remember my old nomadic run. It was back before biotech and i think ideology too. It was when the vanilla expanded storyteller freya came out. Pretty fun run overall. I just recruited so many people that the run ended up as a normal one on the ship. I had to add more caskets. Makes me want to try out another one.
Hey Adam, love your content. I pointed this out on previous edited run. The edit is sometimes disjointed. For instance, at 15:27 you make a festival to see if the faction shows up on the map, however, if it did is cut out from the edit. This happened a lot on previous run. I’m watching this one, still early to say how often it happens here but I wanted to let you know.
Around the half hour mark, a visitor is helping out with the mining, and Adam joked how this was the neanderthal's first time mining. That makes me think... Why do only kids get experience in a skill by watching others do it? Shouldn't someone mining next to an expert digger pick up a few tricks?
If there was a way you could do a run so your chat is the “ai” with the ai like some Minecraft videos that are out there if you know what I am meaning, you have a goal there’s ways they can help you or sabotage you by vote limited in certain ways but if they help you too much it defaults big raids on top of what the Ai throws at you but they are limited so chat can’t kill you out right like blight solar flare etc depending on how far a long you have advanced but can start events or pod drops etc, that would be a interesting video. Love the vids! I doubt there is a way you could just thought I should throw that out there. (you could go in admin mode and start what they vote if that is possible)

Hey @AdamVsEverything. Thanks for your content. Any chance you can post some sort of save files or mod packs for your viewers to play the same scenario?
I was kind of disappointed that they didn't add a The Thing inspired anomaly to the expansion, something that would infiltrate your base and replace your pawns one by one. Seemed kind of a no brainer but then again, the same can be said about a lot of things in Anomaly...
Just remember, this is a fun run ... and with this one, it was definitely about the Journey and not the destination lol. Hope you enjoy! (GENIES NEXT)
It was a very fun watch! I approve of Journeys 😆

Dwarf fortress has a system like that, and similarly there’s a manager mod for rimworld. I don’t know if it’s up to date though, but give it a try
I miss the option to copy the entire schedule of a bench to another bench of the same type.
I think dubs mint menus has something similar. In general having that mod be in vanilla would be a godsend tbh
