Birria has to be made from goat? What? In what region? I'm genuinely curious. All of my Mexican friends say birria is beef. I'm not against it all it's just the first I've heard of this.

Think of the times you’ve eaten goat and the times you’ve eaten beef. The main times I’ve eaten goat is Curry Goat, Birria, and Barbacoa. And I don’t commonly eat those. Eating beef is common. Even I know Birria is traditionally made with goat but if someone asked me what Birria is I will say beef. If a place doesn’t make the distinction of birria de res or birria de chivo and just say “birria”. It is birria de res. You should search birria de chivo in your maps and get it when u have the chance.
