CINNAMON ROLLS with Cream Cheese Frosting | Perfect for Beginners

- Ingredients:
For the dough:
180ml warm milk (whole or 2%) at 110°F
2 ¼ tsp quick rise or active yeast (1 pack)
50g sugar
1 egg + 1 yolk, room temperature
57g melted butter
360g bread flour
¾ tsp salt
For the filling:
142g dark brown sugar
1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
57g softened butter
For the frosting:
112g cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp butter, softened
85g powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla stick
Instructions:
Heat the milk to 110°F . In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, egg, yolk, and melted butter. Mix, then gradually stir in flour and salt until dough forms. Knead by hand for 8-10 minutes. The dough should be slightly sticky but manageable. Let it rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1-1½ hours until doubled.
Roll the dough into a 14x9-inch rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter, leaving a ¼-inch border. Mix cinnamon and sugar, then evenly sprinkle and rub over the buttered dough. Roll tightly from the short side, seal edges, and cut into 9 pieces.
Arrange rolls in a greased or parchment-lined 9-inch pan, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool slightly.
For the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm rolls and serve.
