Bret is wondering why all the people with him are peeing in the pool like cretins but refuses to admit it's because he's swimming in a toilet.
That was magnificent
FACTS
Good one.
Bravo.
Excellent analogy.
I think there are two things that turns a normie into a Nazi. One, a visceral hatred of "SJWs" that overrides all else. The second, very related thing is paranoia.
and maybe a third thing is isolating yourself in an information ghetto that reinforces your ideas
Big amygdala covers all the bases. The overwhelming majority of conservatives have large amygdalas.. That means they have a lot of anxiety, a lot of disgust, a lot of fear and a heigthened startle reflex and so on and so forth.
They're scared shitless of change.. Their brains are tuned to dovetail with the Fox News fear-peddling, or rather the other way around. Fox found brains they could rile up for cash, then sell those same brains products that make them feel safe during ad breaks.
The reactionary mind is easy to manipulate, and it stays hyper focused on things it finds icky. In this day and age, it's transgender stuff. They saw a woman with a bulging crotch once and it sent them into a cultural panic that seems to never end. Just gets louder. Used to be a bunch of nazis in the Gamergate bubble, now it's the entire damn right wing just being totally hysterical about something no one cared about a decade ago...
You can't rile up people with nonsense like this if they have a functioning brain... Conservatives have been in a collective amygdala hijack for a decade++, and it's getting worse by the year. They are now so terrified of trans kids and communism that they're openly embracing fascism as a counter....
Meanwhile there are no communists to be seen in government... Yet they're still rallying the troops for fascism and a civil war..... Big amygdala, big fear... Big delusions, big conspiracies...
Conservatives have inferior brains. It is what it is, and we aren't allowed to call it out because then we stoop to conservative people's level... But the fact remains..... they have inferior brains... Hyper emotional and violent little brains. Triggered by the slightest thing. Inferior.
It's much more than "SJWs" that are the target of fascist propaganda that corrupts minds, it is whatever vulnerable targets they can find useful.
SJW ? Single Jewish women? I'm not kidding I have no idea what that means

Well, as I like to bring up, there are two parties in this country, and the Nazis will back one or the other. However, it's instructional to compare Reagan's reaction to being backed by the KKK (spoiler: immediate and absolute condemnation) and Trump's lack of reaction to the same situation. Anything short of immediate condemnation is an endorsement.

When I was young and wondering how something like the Holocaust could happen, I never dreamt I would experience the answer first hand. I hope enough of us are paying attention.
A few weeks at a Trump rally, a reporter, asked a middle aged woman , paraphrasing, ‘what is the first thing you want Trump to do when he is back in WH?’ Her answer was ‘Send them to the trains’ I was flabbergasted! She knew what she meant, so I guess he believes in the Holocaust. However how can people think like that without realising they are indeed fascists, banging on the Nazi stage door?
I used to find American politics amusing. At the start of Covid, Trump’s daily talk, was an hour of entertainment and popcorn. I went to a lefty highschool (50 years ago) & there was a text book called The Nazi Primer in the highschool library. It was a translation from the German, but I didn't look into how it got published, being a teen at the time. It didn't support Naziism; it discouraged it, even though it was simply a translation of a school text; I'd say for 11 & 12 year olds, or around that age. The race theories were spelled out with illustrated cross sections of skulls, showing that the brains of Africans were small because their skull bones were so thick, & Jewish & Aaryan skulls had the thinnest bones making room for the biggest brains, but the Jews were genetically evil while the Aaryans were genetically good. It gave the book a flavor of real science behind it.
It did exactly what the librarians & the school intended; exposed the lies underneath Nazi ideologies. Kids would ask teachers about it in history & social study classes.
It was the most read book from the nonfiction part of the library. It was brilliant of the school to have it there.

Not all of the dingbats in this comment section who continue to believe that our public health bureaucracy is not completely captured by pharma, and run entirely by lying sociopaths? Not the good folks at majority report, who agree 100% with neoconservatives on every major foreign policy issue, and align completely with the corporate owned democratic party, but like to believe that somehow they're socialist? I guess it's hard waking up, looking in the mirror, and seeing someone who is so completely full of shit that you don't even recognize yourself anymore. Better to just live in your fantasy world where Sam and Emma are there to tell you that actually you were right all along. What confuses me is how do you consider yourselves anti establishment when you completely agree with the mainstream narratives on every single important issue?
If people are leaving liberal ideology, it's because these groups and politicians fail to show that they care at all about working people. There are workers sleeping in cars, unable to afford minimal necessities, with no union to defend them, no job security, no health care, no minimum wage raises for years and years, nothing. What liberals do seem to care about are ethnic minorities, gender, pronouns and everything that's JUST lip service, but doesn't require taxing a tech billionaire to pay for. All the while, the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer. The entire political system in the U.S. is designed to facilitate the transfer of wealth from the bottom 99% to the top 1%. The only people who can support liberal ideology are upper middle class, and isolated/comfortable enough to not be concerned with the collapse around them. No wonder people are attracted to fringe internet ideologies and those who peddle them. The mainstream ones don't speak for us.

We've taught a distorted idea of the evil Nazis; like the Holocaust was unique in human history. They were people; not some sort of inhuman supervillains. The Holocaust was a very large, organized pogrom similar to the ones before it. We tricked ourselves into believing as long as we say "never again" we can stop these villains from miraculously appearing like those horrible Germans in the 30s. We used Godwin's law to explain and avoid unnecessary and overwrought comparisons to Nazis online with good reason. But once the comparisons started to fit, we kept knocking people for it. I've only recently understood how many Americans bought into the ideology in the 20th century and I was aware of Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh, and the German American Bund. I've visited the Holocaust Museum on my area. I thought I got it but we downplay just how easy it is to get to a place of dehumanization. I think it was mistake to believe the Holocaust was anything more than industrial-scale genocide much like the ones before it and likely to occur in the right circumstances.
Very much agree, but it should be noted that although there were genocides before, and after the Holocaust, the Holocaust is unique, as you noted, because it was implemented on a production line method on an industrial scale by a modern, cultured NATION. And every part of the nation was involved, from the government, law, military, beaurocracy, media and industry, all the way down to the train drivers.
@@zachariahwade8482I don't think making genocide a national business is particularly unique. The US wiped out most of the native population but it lacked the technology to do it so efficiently. It's just the scale that's noteworthy in our minds. I agree it stands out in historical context because it was orderly and large but I think we're deluding ourselves if we think there's something special about the people or the circumstances creating the dehumanization necessary to accomplish it.
@@raunetteelkins8698 if the US wiped out most of the native population then it was by definition efficient. And if they did, with a stated goal to intentionally wipe out most of the population of a whole continent, then it dwarfs the scale of the Holocaust. But serious scholars don’t look at it that way because it’s a lazy false equivalency. There are vast differences by almost every metric.
It was unique among genocides in history, and it’s those unique factors in particular that should serve as a warning that it can happen again, especially in a democratic, cultured, industrialised nation.
There’s very little about European colonisation, or the Armenian genocide, or even the Holodomor that can equate with what we are seeing with the radicalised Right in the US.
@@zachariahwade8482What Germany did in a few years took the US hundreds of years to do. I wouldn't say, at first, the elimination of the native population was the goal but there were definitely certain administrations who focused on it. I'm not downplaying the Holocaust for what it was in historical perspective. I'm saying we ignore the dangers of genocide happening in the future by characterizing it as a "unique" event unlikely to ever happen again because there was something particularly evil about the Germans in the 30s or Hitler. You say it yourself so I don't know what we're discussing unless we're debating the terms unique and efficient.
@@taranullius9221My only point was to highlight that the how of the Holocaust is remarkable but not the why. I'm not saying it wasn't the literal Holocaust. The side of censorship in history always shows us that they are the wrong side, the evil side. Who’s being censored here.
This is non-sense.
Michael Brooks approves of this episode from heaven.
“For whatever reason” lmao
Brandon's analysis in this was simply next level. He should be front and center and in a separate video. This man needs more clicks and views.
Weinstein: Proud member of the face-eating leopard club.
I love watching people accuse others of using any type of "talking points" while simultaneously repeating their own. The condescending attitudes of the hosts appeal to who, exactly? 😊🙏
Frankly I think it's very brave for Brandon, an openly blurry man, to put himself out there like this by coming on such a popular show. Good on you Brandon, we think your blurriness is beautiful!
😂
"People love what I have to say! They believe in it! They just don't like the word Nazi, that's all."
-Stormfront, _The Boys_
Loves reaping and hates sowing , that was the best line
I got a commercial for the Epoch times' new "documentary" on transgender people... I had to pause the video before it got into anything to recover from that wild bullshit.
You can’t listen to viewpoints that differ from yours? You’re in a cult.
Razzie award winning performance for that!
Bret Weinstein is not the smart Weinstein. Thats his brother.
They're both not that smart. His brother was laughed out of college it's lucky he got a degree and a job
@@the_endgame
I was laughed out of college too. No.... No I wasnt. But I did terribly poorly in college. So I moved to England and did 2 university degrees instead. In a proper university with fewer morons in it. Turns out I had 138 IQ and was meant for bigger things. And I can promise you my IQ is not on Eric Weinsteins level.
His brother, however. He is soft as a... Thing thats really really soft. And gives the impression of being super intellectual, but just isnt. Kinda weird.
Can't believe I used to follow this guy. His reaction is hilarious.
„ in College i Wrote a Paper about This“ I find this argument so bad. Its to create authority. then just say what you found out 40 years ago when you were 20. people only use this argumentation to come across as super smart without giving priority to the topic. since 60% of americans between the ages of 18-24 are in college today. this is no longer the place for the super smart, promoted and a dark place without insight. a lot of people know what it means when you say i once wrote a paper on the subject. JUST SAY WHAT YOU FOUND OUT!
Love the show. Left is best!
Germany has very strict laws about hate speech because of experience.
How the US does not appeal to Germany for insight is tragically stupid.
So hilarious but also too sad to even be amusing.
I can imagine a debate between your three and Brett being rather enlightening for you all. Keep lisping
Brandon is so dead on! Great video. Awesome job guys!
I thought Brett Weinstein knew he was the white rabbit for internet Nazis.
I automatically assumed that whole video was a bit.
