I'd have to believe it would be unbelievably painful for the fish to decompress so rapidly on the way up from the bottom. This seems more than a little cruel.
i think either slow or fast vomiting your organs out of your mouth would be painful, get it up quick, knock it on the head, that's the most humane way.
You had 5 minutes to get prepared for the fish, then u cant take the hook out for 2 minutes, poor poor effort. Use one hook and learn how to be better prepared and release the fish in a timely manner
do you think those fish would live after being ripped off the bottom and that kind of depth. pretty sure the bubbles at 2:51 was an organ exploding, probably a swim bladder. any stalling by them is just stalling feeding whatever else is down there. They are dead AF
Seth the bait is in 1000+ ft of water meaning it takes around 10 min just to drop the bait to the bottom, of you want to hook a swordfish at that depth and fight it with a non electric reel it would take more than 5+ hours easily to reel it in
Damn guys you did really good hope you dropped down again 👍👍
Hey guys

My Musings Agreed
welcome to live deal with it
as compared to a slow painful decompression ?
Jeff Vader I’m not saying I agree with his point of view as long as the fish is being caught to keep but a slow decompression is painless.
