This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.
Kiwi retired builder in house, absolutely love your time body/hand/brain management, pleasurable to watch mate and beautiful clean tidy lines, very nice. Tho 70+, still fit and active and would love to be helping you all. That young fella with the arms, bit skinny mate, you not working him hard enough..lol.
Because I have seen it before on your channel I purchased one of those DeWalt Track Saws. But I tend to put a weighted bucket on the far end before starting as I yet don't completely trust the track to stay put. But around 7:15 in this video it look like it stayed put just fine for Greg.
Want to watch this so bad; but, I’m gonna wait. Why.....simple, want it to “last” long as possible as I really enjoy the vids & channel. So, gonna wait till tomorrow & “savor” every minute (might even wait till another episode; as soon as finished....WANT MORE. It’s how your vids are Kyle, they’re addictive 😉), just maybe, might make it till Tuesday & might get a surprise with a brand new Toolsday vid😉😉. Thanks for everything you do, & find Post Framing so interesting (don’t do any myself...usually do stick framing, etc....& have never ever done any post framing) & your vids are just SO ENJOYABLE TO WATCH, dang it🤣 Naturally I “HAMMERED THE LIKE BUTTON” Cheers✌🏼
RR Buildings Couldn’t wait till Tuesday to watch this....had to watch today (also, for you....did play the vid immediately so the almighty Algorithm would benefit you bro!). So, guess watching for the “2nd time” 😅 Cheers✌🏼
Dear Greg, When Kyle says 'let's try X for the video' and it involves X being on one of your body parts, the correct answer is 'no'. When X is tape that can hold plywood sheets together the correct answer is 'HECK NO'! And any X that involves testing safety feature on you - well, you get the idea. Sincerely, ROFL
I guess it would great if ZIP-system would come out with a valley zip roll (different color or with a front marking to notice the roll type difference) . I mean a split line in the middle back cover. Than you could first stick it on one side and not have any problem to stick it to the opposite side. Could work great for corner edge or roof-wall line.
Seeing all that sawdust on the sheathing after you cut the hip sheathing is scaring me. That stuff is like ice on a steeper pitched roof. Its looking real great though, probably thanks to Greg
Sheathing is the board or panel material used in floor, wall and roof assemblies of both residential and commercial construction. The most basic function of sheathing, in any application, is to form a surface onto which other materials can be applied. Actually it is referenced both ways. I’ve always called it sheathing tho. 😁😁 Now you know 😂😂
That is some funny shit right there he says that one point I'm going to be getting real close to you he says just turn around and put it in his mouth LOL
Hi. I liked every episode of your building the huntong lodge. Having seen the filming dates from last summer and overal comment from September, I'm curious to know when you'll post episode 19 through completion? Pole barn construction and your work ethic make me wish I had applied my engineering career to this industry. I'm looking forward to each of the remaining episodes and all your future builds. Wishing you continued success.
I mean where would we be without greg? I’m the greg where i work too, where ever boss man is i’m pretty much always there. Greg is definitely my favorite
If you have leftover materials, do you just throw it away? I think i have an idea where some leftovers could help. Build a chicken coup or dog house in the same style as most of your buildings. I can see a garage door style opening as an entry for the chickens or dog(s).
PEOPLE GREG DOESN"T TAKE STEROID IT WAS A JOKE
Ha,ha! But the boy doesn't stop flexing
You're right about the noise. It's a bit...tingy? Kinda like a metal bucket, if you're getting where i'm going with it. Video quality 10/10.
You said it so well with a straight face though. 😂😂😂
It’s the Midwest after all, he’s more a blue collar tweaker.
@@Alan.livingston Nah Greg is cool, he plays video games.

Oktoberfest!!! Better bring a big blatter and some Advil.
Snap a line on one side, then that would make that piece easy to keep straight.
Always cut towards your buddy. Ask any veteran ever 🤣🤣🤣

LOL best banter at 10:18 hahhahhaha
Nice!
I am the chairman of The Big Shoe Company and I would like to talk to greg about some modelling work.
Haha
With the ZIP sheathing, you tape the joints, but why not around the edge as well? I would have thought moisture could get in that exposed area.
Awesome build. Let me know when you get a license to build in Florida. I gotta job for you guys. Cheers!
If this was an Amish crew they would have been done in one week.....😬😬😬😂 lookin good man

Cut towards your thumb, not your chum
some say it as Cut towards your chum, not your thumb (if they don't like their chum)
If that is called a hunting cabin, then Versailles or the Buckingham Palace are lean-to shelters
I noticed in the past couple of videos how flexible your air compressor hose is and was wondering what brand it was? It looks very practical!
Flexzilla
Thanks for responding! Can’t wait to get it and try it out!
Tell Greg "Cut your Buddy not your Body" lol
His scream 😂😂😂😂
What I miss most about working construction is the banter and comradery without the nasty politics you find in other workplaces.
