  • [AD] With the National Geographic Crystal Lab you can Grow an impressive purple crystal! Even though ours was a Fail, even if we followed the instructions, there are 2 things that i know we did wrong, so the purpose of this video is to help you not make the same mistakes!!!
Follow the instructions that will guide you through the crystal growing process and in just 3 days you will be able to show off your crystal.. as you can see in the video we used a wide bowl, but you should use a more cylinder shape like a jar or a glass of water, so the crystal will grow tall, and not spread all over the bottom, like it happened for us..and the second thing is, i heard a suggestion to put it in a warm place, so i placed the bowl over the readiator, which maked the water dry out faster and didn't let the crystal form in it's natural forming time!
Anyways, even though it was a failed experiment, it did turned out pretty cool right?
You can learn more about crystals with the full color learning book. You will also receive a real amethyst specimen inside the pack.
    Thank you @bigontoyinnovation

This needed to be in a deeper container. It grew the crystals all over the bottom of the bowl instead of the seed rock. The liquid was too shallow. Definitely not what I expected, but interesting.

Who says you failed? With the way it turned out, it would make an awesome diorama!!!

Make sure you won't use a large bowl like me..so it won't spread on the bottom..maybe a drinking glass or a jar would be better

It needs to be in the dark not by the window in the light

You have to keep it in the sun, or near a light source to make it glow
