The monkeys are waiting to be fed but you aren't effecting their behavior... right

    Problem with the test...
Ppl feed these animals on this island, so they're just trying to figure out what the humans want them to do for the food. For them it doesn't relate to 'stealing' or not...but simply to 'what behavior does the human want for the food'
Thus a flawed experiment from the start

Why are they being fed? They eat plants right?

She doesn't seem like she has a grasp on animal psychology. Those monkeys are curious. They probably don't understand thank you're just wasting their time. They're all just gonna be looking at you. And your data will be: "The monkeys seem alert when human are present"

Humans dont have incredible social structures?? What species has more? Agreed they are not all intelligent or good or caring, etc, but what other species can communicate with ALL the other individuals of the same species?

You want to see if they can steal from you! Are you serious the monkey sees you put the food on the ground, they eat the food you leave them off the ground, so why wouldn’t he take it! She’s just some lazy person who doesn’t want to work, stayed in school about 18-20 years to get that phd., and travel using research grants to fund her lazy life, to experiment on innocent animals. Stop playing!😡😡😡

The idea that it's narcissistic is what makes human's special. Narcissism is a human creation. Regardless of species, consciousness is special. If there is conscious apes, then they are people in my book. That doesn't answer any questions on the nature of consciousness. Just raises more. The idea that anything is special is a HUMAN concept. I'm sure a dolphin thinks it's awesome to have legs. But if there's dolphins with legs then i'm sure we won't be calling them dolphins.

alright first comment here ain’t too hot g, we’re just asking about us? do you see skyscrapers built by monkeys? do you see a telescope looking billions of light years away built by elephants? hell, do you see written records we’ve found from the almost 1 billion years of complex life on this planet? it’s not controversial or narcissistic, to ask why humans are different 😄
