I think it is what you are used to. I have been shooting an M3 and an M6 with 9 Leica lenses for about 14 years and I was getting a little tired. So I obtained an F6 with a Zeiss Otus lens and I am excited again! And I hope in a little while I will regain my love for the rangefinders.
You bought a collector item. It's nice and good-looking, but not a camera, I would choose for my daily work as press photographer. Nice story. Keep on rolling!

Two sides of the coin: if you buy gold, you would keep it in the bank and not play with it. A white Leica is a collectors item. It is a piece that is limited in manufacturing so the value will maintain or rise with time. Buying this Leica is different to buying a Sony. I bought a black paint M3 many years ago and sold it for astronomical price last year. You don’t use it to shoot birds. You use it to get richer. Money is hard earned. So buy a collectors edition Leica and gain money without doing any hard work. And yea - Leica can absolutely shoot birds. There are many excellent long tele lenses made by Leica even when they are manual focused. If you can’t get the shot it’s because of the person behind the camera. Bird photography existed on film without AF. Modern camera these days shoot birds better than the photographer: that makes them a technician? Just point press and the camera does everything for you. Btw : Guess how much those Leica tele wild life lenses cost these days? Despite made in the 1990s. And manual focus. Way More than those that Canon or Nikon push out with AF in 2023!

Is like comparing a vintage car with a Rimac nevera. One is about the leasure of driving an classic car feeling all the mechanics of it. The other is about performance, reliability , very distinct in my view. The reason why I like this channel is that it covers most brand without having to trash each other😂.

Can Leica be a workhor se for real professional work or it is just a TOY??? I am using both of my Hassy for real work around the World and I really like the quality of medium format camera.
It is a tool. How you use it depends on your skills and creativity. Many war journalist used Leica. The famous photo that ended the Vietnam war was shot with a Leica film camera. What Leica isn’t is a toy. I don’t see kids playing with it.
These limited editions are good for resellers but terrible for actual shooting. It attracts too much attention. People buy the P models for discrete features like no red logo and a quieter shutter while this screams "look at me!" 😂.
Speed of a range finder is not slower than a manual focus SLR. It depends on the person behind the camera and how much time spent with the lens to know the focus throw. While it may not be faster than AF - it comes to the question of how fast you really need it to be? A still portrait ? Or a sports game? If you bring a Leica to a sports game - you really should think about choosing the right brush for the right canvas. No brush is bad - only a bad painter. And no brush can do it all.

Ask yourself why you need to buy a LEICA and not using it enough. Money is hard to earn and use it wisely. Can any Leica do birds photography?

Came for the comments, not disappointed in the least. My £1500 70-200mm is my white Leica. It’s all relative to your income.

The M6 was the mistake- zinc top plate and plastic bits on the side that break. An M4 or M-P better choices
