Ik i’m a little late it’s hard to keep up with everything going on lol, we even got drakes diss already. But lmk what you think about Cole apologizing?
he really didnt appologize. J-Cole litterally said that he didnt want to ruin the relationship with K-Dot which is reasonable but i wanted the competition as well. I hate how the title makes it look like Kendrick did this mega crazy diss which really he didnt. "Like that" was for drake which kinda included j cole only a little bit. As a result, J-Cole put the same energy towards kendrick as kendrick did towards him. Kendrick really didn't destroy him, he just put him in the place to say things he would retract later. In all reality, he won only due to forfeit and no actual dissin
cole made a mature decision in an immature world, shits crazy
@@-ayaan all these kendrick fans think "Like that" was really that good. 7MD was good as a warning shot, not a diss. Honestly i feel like the kendrick/cole beef is publicity because they have no hate towards each other, but Kendrick/drake do. I believe its all a publicity stunt to promote Cole that way some form of collab can happen while the public have their name in their mouths.
He didn't call cole weak. He called Mr morale weak, and said that even though cole apologized for his words, he was right
@@onigiri2032 what??
So who else thinks this aged insanely poorly?
Cole did the smart thing lol
This isn't rap beef this is something more Cole only would have gotten himself into unnecessary drama if he was still on Drake's side and seen as his aly. Cole must have mistakenly thought this was some stupid rap beef you say some shit about me I say some other shit about you and the next day we good but Kendrick x drake is much deeper than expected
@@kostas214pro
Mang I think cole jus likes music. He knew it would get personal and didn’t wanna be affiliated with Drake/OVO for the oncoming allegations.
@@psychonutsacidballs3238 exactly drake is way way way past defending Kendrick obliterated him 3 whole diss tracks
Cole definitely dodged a bullet man
Seeing how the beef developed, backing out was the right thing to do. Bro knew 😂
Kendrick didn't destroy Cole. J. Cole destroyed himself
Bullplop. He lost a battle and acknowledged that he made up a bunch of shit in the heat of battle. Sadly the participation trophy generations cannot handle competition and simply claim he's "over" for being a graceful loser. At least he had enough guts to respond. Unlike Drake's cowardly azz
Eh. Kendrick literally caused it with Like That. He exposed Cole for being a fraud when it comes to rap battles despite Cole saying he’d eat your favorite rapper alive on his features
💯 JFold ended himself in front of all of us 😆😆

Big facts 😂
Morally J Cole did nothing wrong but for our entertainment and to prove he’s actually the “best” he fucked up
I mean as long as J Cole just doesn't bring it up again and just stays out of it then i don't think its too bad.
If cole acted like the “bigger person” from the jump he would be respected a lot more in this situation. From our perspective he heard a diss and then decided to rush to put something out that he didn’t even stand by. Doesn’t even matter that he apologized the problem is that he couldn’t stand on what he said.
How. He's been dropping 🔥 verses after 🔥 verses

Sometimes you don't realise you don't want something until you get it. Cole wanted beef, but then it came and he realised he didn't want to go down this route.
This ain't beef bro Kendrick legitimately hates Drake, this is an assassination attempt
@@LuisFlores-sh6cuassassination attempt 💀💀
Did he want beef?
This shit aged poorly
Cole wanted to prove he could out rap everyone, realized it was going to get personal and it wasn’t just rap beef and decided to bow out. I respect it.
That's exactly what I have been saying!! You don't need to participate in personal insults yo be "the best." You don't need to participate in any beef, in fact. Whoever makes the best music is the goat, nothing else, nothing more.
RUNNING AWAY from the lyrical competition you've been begging for is NOT RESPECTABLE. It's 🐈 and soft 🧻. That is not Hip Hop & proves J Cole has no heart to be a MC
@@kenyonscales7401 in Drakes first response he says Kendrick’s wife’s name and multiple personal digs, that’s not lyrical competition.
@kenyonscales7401 except it's not the competition he's been looking for? He wants a competition of raw skill and talent, not who can make better personal insults towards your friends and ruin tons of relationships as a result. This got extremely immature, and he was mature enough to back away. Simple as that. Thinking j Cole is scared of a challenge or something is completely delusional and misinformed.

JFold!
That's the most backward logic I've ever heard. He was literally always friends with them. He was always open about his support for specifically Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is the one pretending like they have beef out of nowhere, j Cole stepped back and didn't want to beef with his homie. Massive respect for doing what he truly believes in despite regards (intentionally misspelled) like you who want him to be a killer.
You can tell who's a fake fan when they think "being frirnds" is recent instead of being their factual history
That’s not what Cole did
@@brendolbreadwar2671you can be "friends" with someone and still understand that hip hop is a competitive sport and if you've spent the last decade sending subliminals and saying that you're the best, then drop a rushed/ mid diss verse when K hits you with a warning shot, then backtrack a few days later and delete it. I'm a Cole fan and he can do whatever feels right for him, but any lines coming from him saying he's the best just won't sound believable anymore.
Cole wanted to prove he was better lyrically, Drake and Kendrick have a personal beef and he aint want that. Cant fault him for that.
exactly. THAT was the reason. j Cole was into the lyrical competition. not for no personal drama sht.

J. Cole was right the entire time
J Cole did probably the hardest thing a man has to do. He admitted defeat. He gets a lot of respect for that in my book
had the same opinion. but now that "meet the graham" dropped, he was right to fold out, these two ain't dissing. this is straight up gory shet.
NO SUCH THING AS FRIENDLY COMPETITION IN RAP. It ALWAYS gets personal at some point n entourages/streets will get involved. Physical altercations outside of shows n allat bs. Salute Cole for having the foresight. This ain't high school cyphers. Friendly play play rap on big stages goes left real quicc. 💯🗣️ Respectful to his bow down if he's not willin to go full throttle.
J.Cole once said in Middle Child that if he ever smoked another rapper, it would be legit, not for the clouts. Tbh, this whole rappers clashing and Drake vs Kendrick is more like clout chasing.
Lmao Cole doged a bullet
Looking back from everything that’s going on now, J Cole choose right to take himself out of this one.
Nah. Kung Fu Kenny just gave every Hip Hop fan under 40 a lesson in competition.
Don't get involved in the competition unless you can handle acting like an adult when you or your favorite rapper doesn't come out on top!

It makes sense that Cole dropped out 'cause it seems more serious than just lyrical competition.
Exactly. He is literally friends with kendrick, why would he want the smoke?
@@brendolbreadwar2671i see that, but if thats the case then why would kendrick shoot that diss since they are friends?
@Bossk69 kendrick is a completely different person. He specifically talks abt being friends but still wanting to be the #1. He doesn't care what he has to do to be #1. J Cole on the other hand, prioritises his morals and relationships. It makes perfect sense why kendrick would diss him as a competitor rather than a friend, and why j Cole wouldn't want that for himself.
@@brendolbreadwar2671 then thats not a friend... you never diss your friends regardless of compition... never seen eminem diss 50cent, dre, etc.
@Bossk69 kendrick didn't really throw anything crazy at jcole, he just didn't like the direction it was headed in. Also, everyone has different perspectives, im sure kendrick didn't really mean to hurt him, just trying to prove he's the best against one of the other greats.
I understand clowing on jcole for the beef thing, but mf's are acting like hes not one of THE greats. Bro is top 10 ever, and he earned that YEARS ago.
Wouldn't say top 10 ever personally but he's atleast top 50 at minimum. Which is still a huge accomplishment knowing how many great rappers there are. Snoop dogg, ol dirty bastard, mos def, common, ghostface killah, EL-P, killer mike, tupac, biggie, killer mike, andre 3k, big boi, danny brown and a ton of other rappers.

You can’t be mad at him. Cole is for the people, he knew this rap beef was causing a huge buzz in the media and he definitely felt the pressure to respond, he probably didn’t want to but he did anyways because people care more about their own entertainment than the artists well being. I’m sure he saw this more as a distraction from his main purpose in his life/career and didn’t want to cause a divide in the rap community by having people pick sides. Causing a bigger controversy among the fans.
I got to call BS on this. J. Cole spent the entirety of Kendrick’s hiatus, talking shit. Then he goes and actively make fps with Drake. Him backing out like this after talking all that shit makes him either look like a bitch or fake either or it’s not a good look. This is coming from someone who’s been on the j.cole train since the “big three” were a thing so it’s not like a want to hate on cole but I’ve just lost so much respect for the guy.

Some people would rather have their peace than do something that would jeopardize it
as an addict, i think the most important part of the “apology” was when he said he damn near relapsed. when something messes with that inner peace you have found in your route to sobriety that can be a dangerous thing. and if he didn’t feel what he was saying that can make him disappointed in yourself. and if you’re disappointed in you as an addict? oh boy

this is exactly how he should have put it......exactly what i was thinking

@BoomBoom-ym5oy section 80 is his first album whether you claim it or not lol
It definitely does make sense that way. He only references 4 total albums. So one of his five studio albums has to be left out of the equation. The only one that isn’t up for debate is Mr. Morale (because it’s his last album)
Personally it makes sense to me that he would leave out Section 80. (Even tho it’s a classic) GKMC is a masterpiece to most critics and the general public and nobody is really debating that….TPAB on the other hand is way more controversial on it being overhyped and gassed up more than it should, just look at any comment section discussing the album, it’s extremely divided. So it would make sense that Cole would take a jab at that album that gets the exact same criticism (he referenced) from kendricks fans.
Nobody gaf about that being overly literal BS, when anybody could figure out what he meant & which albums he counted...Guess "Power of the Dollar" was 50 cents 1st album...rightttt...
I'm happy that you're acknowledging that you're a little late on this but I suggest reporting without all the fancy editing since you're reporting is pretty accurate for the most part and I think it would boost your channel's growth tremendously due to all the eyes that are on the situation and I have faith that you'll be able to do the reporting justice like you do on 90% of your videos

This hurts me. Instead of just being quite and keeping "the big 3" name cut in stone, kendrick had to say "no, WE are not that. Im the big one." People can hate and mock drake and cole with as much time they have after work, but lemme ask. Who started piece and who started war?
J Cole my dawg.. what in Christ name were you thinking.. never reveal your hand after the first move🤦🏽♂️
Drake got the career to be top dog, Cole got the lyrical ability to be top dog and kendrick got the mentality to be top dog. They all together embody that one top position
They called Cole was like bro it wasn’t even bout you we trying to jump drake.
JC Chose to Respect his people over Profit off them...
1:23 you know the writer is a genius when even when a UA-camr is narrating the lyrics, they sound dope
Bro dissed kendrick and when it wasnt well received all the sudden he is sorry 🤦♂️ Seems like damage control to me
We now refer to him in the culture as J.Fold
J Cole also said "The Spider-Man meme is me looking at Drake" and in my opinion that means when it comes to the Big 3 most people would consider Drake and J Cole interchangeable at one and two which is backed up by Complex putting Drake & J Cole at 1 & 2 a total of 5 times between 2010 and 2018, with J Cole only time at number one being 2014 and even then Drake is number two.
As a huge Cole & Hip Hop fan, I’m disappointed in him apologizing when he could’ve just stayed outta it🤦🏾♀️

Yes
I've been questioning Kdot and Cole relationship over the last few years. The album they were working on, never came close to being released. Yeah Kendrick been taking shots at Cole, but I never believed it to be personal. Kendrick just truly believe he the best rapper in the world and it's not even close. Cole people had to been itching for Cole to go at Kendrick, because they gassed him up, to do something, he never wanted to do.
Fix the headline Boss.
It's JFold!
I just hate how people are acting like the last 5-6 years if his career dont matter anymore because he didnt want to diss somebody he considers his peer. Clearly behind the scenes its no beef or else cole woulda known what time it was and woulda done what needed to be done.
Also, if the only rapper who cole has ever "backed down" from is kendrick, who most already considered better than him, thats still a flex.
But it is crazy that he was so close to the top that whether he responded or not was trending right alongside drake. Had rolling stone talking about his apology thats so crazy
Yall really cant see how mature of a responce it is to do this. Spite and pride are the killers of man, and cole appreicates love more then winning, and considering his growth in faith, i think its really a beautiful thing. The issue is rap beefs are about blood, and he isnt on that anymore, and isnt faking it anymore.
He literally said the song was a warning shot
Everybody out here looking at this rap battle between these artists as a 90's east coast vs. West Coast beef. This isn't that. Calm your little selves down. It's not that serious.
This will be so detrimental to his career man, he will regret this opportunity later. You had an chance at your peak to really compete and you folded
Bro do you know that To Pimp a Butterfly is Kendricks third album?
Another Sunday another drip from the goat
Crazy, is it going to be a game changer for rap once Drakes diss releases??
Drake not gonna find a ghostwriter that can keep up.
