I didn't think I had bought this one, went into my account and bam, there it was! lol I think the swooped hem skirt made me think I hadn't bought it. I absolutely love the version you made! It would be secret pjs for any event! I think you could do a black duster with it if you needed more warmth for more wintery events being that it's shorter. With the rusty colour being the focal at the front the black wouldn't really be centre of attention! Such a great make! Now I'm rethinking the swoopy skirt. Not that we do anything for the holidays anymore but, I have a delicious stretch velvet/velour fabric in a sage/olive green that would be great for it!
❤❤❤ Whitney, I am imagining giving you, your dress, and the entire content in this video a standing ovation! You look absolutely adorable in this truly fun, beautiful, and "edgy" look. I am so grateful for the information you provided and am looking forward to accessing the resources and process discussed. The thought occurred to me how much these tools are going to help me enjoy sewing for where I am at now and having a visual aid to track my changing fashion options that will best suit my fitness progress and favourite styles, patterns, fabrics and colors as I work on taking good care of me. This is a wonderful gift that inspires, educates, and delivers on its aims and mine too! It feels like a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas bundled all in one. To you and yours too Whitney, most sincerely Anita. ❤❤❤ (Alberta, Canada)
You look so lovely. I don't even know which adjectives to put, there are so many - amazing, adorable, hip, fun, classy. It is everything! I hope I purchased the pattern when it was on sale, lol, because otherwise, it will have to wait. I am on a pattern buying hiatus.
I have the Grafton in my library already and made an Autumn top and skirt version as my first make. Not only is this pattern one of the most versatile patterns on the market, it is also very easy to make your personal adjustments when necessary! Your version (and your vision for the entire “look”) is amazing, Whitney! Very on-trend with the tights and your boots and, of course, you look adorable! I was thinking if you needed a topper for warmth as you go into the colder weather, a cropped sweater in the goldenrod color from the dress fabric might suit you. May I suggest the “Diana Cropped Cardigan” from Dressmaking Amore Patterns?
Another great video! Thanks for sharing your process of designing the dress. I’ve been thinking about getting My Body Model, but wasn’t quite sure exactly how to use it to the best advantage. Your dress and outfit look amazing! I might have to get some of the French terry to try. Thanks so much for inspiration.
I loved seeing your process from inspiration to execution. The Grafton pattern is amazing! I’ve already made 3 and can see myself making many more garments, including mashups with the Mercier.
What an adorable dress. It looks lovely on you. I wonder, did you have to shorten the bodice on this? I made the Vernon for my sister and the armscye was too short so I'm thinking maybe Cashmerette cuts a shorter bodice. Anyway, it's a great dress and you'll certainly get a lot of wear out of it. Thank you for another great video.😊
you look amazing!! Love everything about this dress design + fabric-really suits you. Also can u remind me what pattern is your orange blouse-it looks gorgeous on u too.
Your dress and the pattern on the dress are so cute. It looks amazing on you. So does your orange shirt. I don’t think the pattern is for me but I am glad it is not a club pattern. That whole business disappoints me. I belong to other club and I just won’t do another. Everybody seems to just want my money. Sorry Whitney I guess I needed to vent. I am working on a dress dupe of a Johnny Was dress I saw in velvet which I had in my stash. It fits nicely and that’s because of everything I learned from your class. I still go back to the class to review. I line the bodice in a knit but I am using bemburg rayon to line the skirt even though it’s knit because the knit was just too heavy. I added pleats to the lining to give some room.
Dress is great ..Minerva is not a company I like to order from ..I have had way too many fabrics from them that have had damage or imperfections on...but I do like the style of the dress..

Oh my goodness! YES to the swoopy skirt in the stretch velvet. You should make that!
Love this dress! Darling on you!❤
Aww--Thank you!

Go for it!
Cashmirette is my favorite pattern co.
The drafting is spot on and directions are superb. Their customer service is a bit lacking though.
Totally agree
So cute!
Thank you so much!!

That would be amazing!!
I just saw that my grafton shipped so I am so excited!
Have so much fun mixing and matching!

I do shorten the bodices on my Cashmerette patterns and I did for this one as well. I have to shorten 1" at the bodice.
Very cute. Looks good on you.
Thank you so much!
you look amazing!! Love everything about this dress design + fabric-really suits you. Also can u remind me what pattern is your orange blouse-it looks gorgeous on u too.
It's the Simplicity S1538. The link is in the description box! Thank you so much!

How the heck did I miss this?!
😂I’m not sure!
You look hot in this dress Whitney! I love it!!
Oh thank you!
❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
The only thing this pattern doesn’t have is pants!
Truth! Then it would truly be a one and done pattern!
I love this pattern, but OMG, it costs $25-$32! I was hoping it was the $5 Friday pattern, but wrong company.
Yeah, different company.....but lots of utility out of one pattern.
