Love your outside the box thinking with the grip tape! I m trying to come up with less expensive alternatives for the 88 YZ250 I am building. It would be totally awesome to build my version of a works bike, but kind of hard to on a Ramen budget!!! Never quit playing in the dirt!!! Lol!!!
Tbh not really worth the money. If you would have bought a 2019 + 450 frame and swaped over the complete front en back end, rewelded the frame mounts and welded they exhaust.it would mayby cost between 1K/1500. Overal great bike
@Jerit Wilkening from a sentimental point of perspectif its fully understandible that he does this, its awesome to have a good bike with the current ktm 2022 plastics. But from a financial perspective Its better to buy a 2020 ktm mainframe. Swap the whole front and back end.you only need to buy 2016+ linkage and shock extra and no scary welding on subframe mounts
Hey man! I appreciate the comment and feedback! You’re saying I should’ve bought a new frame and swap everything over to that frame? Along with getting everything else like the tank, subframe etc.? Just a little confused on your comment but would love to talk more on this.! I bought the bike for $4k and put another $950 into swapping it. $5k for this bike I thought was pretty good considering it being a KTM and it also only had 20 hrs on it when I bought it!
