Thank you for your honest opinion, I've been shopping for a canopy for my 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab 6.4 bed and you opened my eyes to understanding the quality differences.
Solid call-outs on the build quality, but also pointing out, that while obvious and frustrating, functionality is still there (no leaks, etc). Hard to say how long the fit/finish of the Leer will last (those x-threaded/crooked screws would drive me nuts); but if you've had it for 2 years and still looks good/functions...idk. The more I look into these things, the more it seems luck-of-the-draw on quality across all brands. Thanks for taking the time to make/post.
drwinlied well said have my fingers crossed for I just ordered the Leer 750 sport bed cover also for him to have that black paint matched is awesome as well
Thanks for the video! I just sold my truck that i had put a $4800 A.R.E topper on and im back in the market for a shell for my new truck. The A.R.E was terrible. Poor craftsmanship. Same as the leer you show here with crooked screws and all kinds of misalignment. Screws kept falling out. Passenger side windoor was always leaking. Rear door (full pass through hatch back tailgate replacement type) leaked everywhere and the weather stripping was always coming off. Pits in the paint. Third brake didn’t quite fit in the cut out mold above the back door so they just mounted it in there crooked. Was supposed to be a trimless seam at bed but came with that cheesy 1/4 round trim piece that was always separating. The shocks quit holding the door open after only a couple months.... the list goes on and on. Im leaning snug now.
I bought a Snug Top canopy with a front widow assembly that folded down for cleaning. Within a a year the front window assembly began leaking in the rain and it was a complete piece of shit so I took it back to the dealer. The dealer said that Snug Top acknowledged the problem was from using a defective window assembly that they had since discontinued but they said I would have to pay several hundred dollars more to remove and replace the window. I contacted Snug Top and they acknowledged their product was defective but basically said it was my tuff luck. I've been through two trucks since then and I will never buy a Snug Top product again!
Pretty good honest review. The lousy screws in the window frames are fairly common, even sliders on a SnugTop Rebel will have screws in the frames like that, but the SnugTop Supersport topper won't have inside frames, much cleaner than the 100XL, but also more expensive. I do like that Leer has all those cool options, like the lock box and 12V accessory outlets. SnugTop also has a better paint warranty. Leer is a good top though.
I went from a used decade old Glasstite that I purchased in early 2014 to a Leer 100XR in early 2016. The weatherstripping and plastic trim piece on the rear window of the Glasstite eventually degraded to the point of needing replacement in order to keep rain out. The company quit making caps (and replacement parts) quite a while ago. Got rid of it and got a Leer 100XR and guess what? its got the same exact issues that you have. The fiberglass has a slight waviness to it and the paint was full of swirl marks. A two step compound/polish job got the paint looking great, the waviness still remains. Mine also has crooked window trim screws. TL;DR: All topper manufacturers suck in some aspect. If you plan on keeping the top for a while go ahead and buy replacement weatherstripping and molding. If nothing else it'll increase the resale value another $100.
Good review. Bit for others checking out comments, I had a snugtop that was junk. Top of the line model that leaked like it was paper. Had to re-rig the front window latches twice. Had a lower end snugtop on my prior truck but my last one made me pretty sour of the brand.
I have a Leer 100XL, I have noticed some minor things, rusting on hardware & handle eventually broke and had to replace the handle. Course I bought it used for $100 color matched and everything so I wouldn't complain either way. Snug tops are top of the line but Leer has been around for many decades and I also have a Leer on a 1990 ford ranger, bought it with the pickup in 1990 and it has still held up fine after 30 years.
Very sad that something so simple to make can not be produce in the USA with quality craftsmanship. Personally, I would pay more to obtain quality, but that does not seem to be an option.
After reading the comments, I’ve seen complaints and horror stories about every single brand that offers these toppers. Having second thoughts now because every brand appears to be junk.
I just sold my Tonneau cover that I’ve had for 18 years on my dually. I’ve been considering a Snug Top Xtra Vision shell. Now, I’ve been reconsidering.
Came across this video and feel I have to add to the discussion. I purchased the LEER 100 XR and got it for hunting trips around Flagstaff, AZ. The type of soil and the construction on the forest roads makes it EXTREMELY dusty - so the cap is supposed to prevent dust from getting into the bed. Well, the cap is not really sealed. Dust gets into the bed, I figured due to the fineness of the dust particles. Dust I can live with wiping out of the bed - it's not hermetically, tightly sealed and I was not expecting it to keep every grain of dust out. What's got me in fits is that my LEER cap leaks as well. On a recent trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, the truck sat out overnight, not driving, no gail force winds and the inside of the bed had puddles in a low point on the side of the bed near the wheel well. Took it to Tom's Camperland in Mesa, AZ and they tell me it's due to the construction of the Tacoma with vents that, they claim, the manufacturer put in the bed for air flow. They stuffed the vents full of silicone sealant and sent me on my way. Great day to test due to the great amount of rainfall we had in Phoenix today. It LEAKS! I'll be calling LEER to address this and will post back when they (if they) respond. The door is also a P.O.S, and I don't mean Point Of Sale - water is running between the glass and the fiberglass. I can see it because it's coming out a hole apparently designed to let water run out. Anyone out there buy a cap for their truck with the expectation that it leaks? I don't think so. I'll post back soon with LEER's response.
Hi John, I saw your review and just wanted to check in with you. I'm also in AZ looking to purchase the Leer from Tom's camper land and also have a Tacoma. I'm worried about dust and rain getting in the shell. Has leer or toms found a way to address your issues. I'm on the fence so far. They have the three brands leer, snug and ARE and just wondering the best route. Any additional feedback would be awesome.
William Cartee I’m still working with Tom’s to get it resolved. For now, I can not recommend Leer as a choice for you or anyone else. I’ll update you as I work through the problems I’m having
I had a leer that had the front window break, with the removable window frame, I replaced the glass with 1/8 inch thick polycarbonate. It is now unbreakable.
Just found your channel Louie, and loving it so far! I'm a bit of a craft beer guy too, and have been thinking about pulling the trigger on a truck setup very similar to yours. Your reviews and thoughts have been very helpful!
I'm going with a new cap to the states but expensive. You get what you pay for is true to the core. LDR Designs is what I need for many reasons. I don't want glass that can be broken into with my camping gear etc in the back. I'm also thinking of adding DECKED storage drawers to bed. Sorry to see such shady craftsmanship on the Leer. Thanks for doing this video 👍
My truck with a Snug Top just got totaled. I run a lumber rack with shell. The new truck/year I am buying can not use the SnugTop. I also believe the Snug Top is a better product. I believe you should send issues you have or this video to Leer. That way they can step up their fit and finish.
Had a Leer on a 2013 Ford F-150. The lower rails between front and rear clamps warped badly on both sides that the base that sat on bed rails of truck twisted so the cap dug into the outside of truck box and wore/chipped the paint. The paint repair to the outside of the box cost me $700 ! Not good!
Leer sucks! I spent $3000 on one and had nothing but issues with it. Got every option possible and they all were poorly installed. I too got the gun box. The day I picked it up as I was checking it out and opened the door it fell off. They re did the screws for the door. Later the entire box fell out of the ceiling. Had pet screens installed. The windows leaked. It also had a grinder mark where they messed up the pour when it came out of the mold it stuck so they simply ground the chunk that stuck to it down and it looked like garbage. Leer wouldnt fix it so my dealer sent it to a body shop and they did a good job fixing it. I also had a lock with the one handle in the middle. That was nice because it connected to my trucks key fob so one click locked everything down. The carpet started coming off. I would NEVER purchase a Leer after the experience I had. My dealer was even frustrated and made comments to the lines of they might drop Leer because of the quality drop. But they explained it this way. They all are using the same labor pool and they dont typically speak good English. Same Indiana town makes them all. Oh yeah that little skirt that hangs off the window that over laps the tailgate was replaced too. I think I had to take it back 3 times. Once for the door on the gun box. 2nd time was to fix leaks around the windows. They said one window was not seated correctly and they re seated it. The other was replaced, 3rd time was the grind mark along the side. It still leaked and there were a few minor issues like the carpet coming loose in the ceiling. I didnt even call them when the entire gun box fell out. Glad I wasnt under it. Its heavy! I now have an ARE. It seems better but not sure how much. It came with the used truck I purchased so I dont know how it was new? It seems heavier duty though especially the door hatch hinges. But the windows leak just the same.
Just watched another video from a dealer who said the exact opposite in terms of quality. Pointed out inferior hinges on a similar priced Snugtop. ?????????
I went with the snug. I had a leer before and the build quality is night and day. Keep in mind I do sound competition, so they get abused. I hardly get any flex out of the snug. I couldn't keep the window in my leer
Fast forward to 2020… My experience ,the Leer was more expensive and snug top gave more options I got a free pro lock open slide window for freeThe guy that sold me mine did say that snug top was a better camper
How tight of a fit is the rear hatch? When driving down dusty roads, the dust always got sucked into the bed of the truck with my past Leers, because of the slight gaps on either side of the back window...
+John Ganshow pretty good actually. I get a little but it's not bad and gathers only around the edges. You can easily adjust the fit by loosening the two screws and moving the latching points back which makes it tighter.
After 3 years with the snug top about half the the pieces have broken. Total piece of crap. Sliding window bounces around and is noise Rear latch broke Exterior break like broke Internal dome lite fell off Replaced window shocks twice as they can’t open the window.
I just looked at a snug top for my dually. You're top looks just as good. You made the back of you're truck awesome. Do they make a bed rug for an 8 ft bed ?
I own the 2017 f150 lariat and I just ordered the Leer 750 sport bed cover I was told by most dealerships that Leer was the quality tops in the market no prior experience so hoping mine is a success
Beware of SnugTop ! I have had 4 SnugTop camper shells over the past17 years, my first 3 I had no issues at all and my 4th (2014) is junk, fit and finish terrible, side window leaked , front window leaked water, inside liner multiple blems, fishing pole holder fell off !. My friend bought one (2017) for his new F-250 Ford and he is totally disappointed with it and the fit and finish. I have heard that SnugTop is under new ownership and that may be the result of very little quality control and that is why I am looking at Leer and A. R. E . camper shell video's, I will not buy another SnugTop..........Thank-you for posting your video
I have a LEER. Not good. From the manufacturer the rear door or hatch, (whatever the correct term) LEAKS AND DOES NOT CLOSE EVENLY. The top of the hatch has a tight seal and spacing. As it moves down away from the hinges the gap gets substantially larger. So it LEAKS and LOOKS B-A-D. Local distributor did nothing, and kept acting and pretending that they had addressed the issue. Nothing they could do, because they could not correct manufacturer defect. Local dealer refused to ship product back. No warranty with LEER despite the cheap talk and promise. If you do order a LEER, DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE LIKE I WAS REQUIRED TO DO. IF IT COMES IN DEFECTIVE TO THE LOCAL DEALER, WALK AWAY. Custom Trucks Unlimited, Columbus Georgia assured me that the "GAP" would be adjusted once mounted on the truck. Once mounted on the truck, they assured me that the huge GAP would not leak, of course it leaks. One place you can see daylight about the size of a very large quarter. Overall: expensive, leaks and warranty not honored.
I know its 10 months since you posted this, but I had the same problem on a Leer top I bought used for a third gen Ram longbed ('03-'09). What I did to fix it was make some blocks from half inch thick plastic that were cut to fit snugly in the rear stake pockets, and then through some clever clamping, drilling, etc, I screwed them to the Leer top and now they keep the top from spreading, as they are set down into the stake pockets. I cut out the double bulb seal on the bottom where the blocks are attached. Top no longer moves around, and the clamps don't get loose.
I know it’s an old post, but I’ve got a leer topper on an 2003 Tacoma and sometimes the clamps work themselves just loose enough so when I go to shut the glass it actually pushes the whole thing like 1/8 or 1/4 inch. Just enough to put the clasps out of reach so the glass won’t latch. Other than that though, I’ve had it a year and it still works great, looks great and no leaks when everything is where it’s supposed to be
I’ve owned the snug, ARE and leer. I’m definitely sticking with Leer. I just feel like they are better built. Their molds are a lot straighter which you can see in darker colors. I’d like Leer know about their screws and rust. If you want a little better top?! Go with their 100 XQ Good video!
I'm not happy with my leer. It looks great but the quality as far as the glass, gasket and locks is not good. I paid over 3k for mine not worth it... Next time I'll get a ARE
+Following The Son about $2600. If you're just looking for 'cover' look at ARE. If you're looking for top quality and longevity, SnugTop. Features for money... gonna have to say Leer. SnugTop for me next time but that's only because I'm finicky.
Red pilled patriot I have a throw rug that fits perfect between my wheel wells. It's nice for when I camp in it, but I can still just pull it out when I'm hauling firewood or whatever
Sorry, but the screw issues could have been addressed with an inspection before you accepted it and drove off. Even without doing that on site, it could have been corrected under warranty.
+Geezer's Garage they didn’t look that way when I bought it. It was new from the factory. Had they been corroded new from factory then correction would have been requested
I have a snug top had it for almost 10 years paint still looks good but everything else has fell apart both rear latches jack up all the time never closes right tried adjusting all the time finally gave up. Both strikers rotten away after like a year made my own. Front window leaks and screws fell out after 2 years. After 4 years approx window struts where completely bad you can buy them from snug top but there expensive no one else carries anything similar there actually from overseas. Dome light stopped right away button switch bad and side window was all scratched up when they installed it they tried to buff it out but broke window so they had to install new one never going to buy one again over priced and over rated
I ordered an ARE shell six-weeks ago..The dealer called and said it was damaged during shipment. Then called back to say ARE spotted a bubble in the paint and will need to be repainted? Another six-weeks to receive what amounts to a used shell. I could have bought a used shell for $1500 less! Do yourself a favor and avoid ARE
interesting how different people perceive different information. I would have thought Awesome a company that won't try to sell me a damaged top and wants to correct the flaw before delivery to the customer. Interesting. Any top could get damaged in shipping, Not ARE's fault by manufacturing.
Break a rear glass and chuck the whole topper. Leer needs to pull its head out of its ass but we all know the authorized dealers are throwing 100% $ on top. Glass is 90 bucks on its best day. To the wrecker with mine. Oh and ill make my own cover just too fuck buying one if a latch breaks the whole thing is garbage...
They don't make the windows themselves so it's not their manufacturing/quality issue you can bring it to corporates attention but a crooked screw isn't a deal breaker in my book. The paint under the window is it a deviation in the fiberglass or is it in the paint? I've seen ripples in a Corvette too. The screw head sticking up is possibly from being too thick, I'd ask them to address it by either a slight tightening or take a metal file to it and and couple of passes and you're perfect. Not that you should have to, clean the rust and either clear nail polish it or a q-tip and black rustoleum. I am self employed for 41 years in fine carpentry and cabinetry where the customer wants it dead perfect so you can tell where I MUST finish my work every job every day. Now with that being said I think your not really being reasonable as there isn't anything you pointed out bad enough to say it's no good. Did you call or point out in person your concerns? Did they refuse to correct anything? If snug top was so good why did you change brands this time? That bottom of the window is a hinge, not in the traditional sense but it is. These things you've shown here are things you had to search for, they aren't glaring issues that even I would complain about and I have an eye for doing everything well. I'd run my screws straighter, check the opening and closing fit clearance etc but then again I'm not assembling things in a factory at or about minimum wage. One other point is even if you took the same paint from the truck and spayed the cap they will always be a touch off as they (truck/cap) are made of different materials, a different gun, and a different painter and application technique, go ask any high quality body shop. You have a nice truck and cap so enjoy it, two years and it's still looks great.
Piece of crap, I bought the xr100 model for my Chevy Silverado. Had it for less than 8 months and the sliding rear window shattered into a million pieces. I was cleaning it with a cloth and it just disinegrated. I tried to replace the window and can't even order it from their own site. I had to go to an authorized dealer who charged me 500.00 to replace it. After spending 2000.00 for the shell, it was definetley not worth the money. Leer would not replace it even though it was under warranty (1) year. Apparently it only covers the fiberglass. Whatever, don't buy this piece of s*&@ or you will wind up spending for than you bargained for. I forgot to mention it also leaks water in the truck, so don't have anything that is not waterproof....
Why does someone say they will do a review on a truck cap and do a sh** job of it? First thing right off the bat is the light system, this button turns the light off and on. Does each light have a on off switch, or one switch for all lights? Please explain in more detail.
Canopy. Shell. Topper. Camper. Cap. Can we agree on what to call these things so they're easier to search for online?
Got dammit I agree with you 100%
OMG I agree too. Its a pain in the ass to search it xD
I say this every time! I’m not crazy after All!
Haha. I said the same thing last night. So true.
I was told it depends on what region of the country you are from.
+drwinlied well put and totally agree! Thank you!!!
+drwinlied thanks for watching!
drwinlied well said have my fingers crossed for I just ordered the Leer 750 sport bed cover also for him to have that black paint matched is awesome as well
I’m waiting for a Snugtop, three month back order. Not cheap. Happy to hear it’s a good product.
Bought my Snugtop in 2008. Good color match (GMC silver birch), finish holding up well. Only complaint is latch won't lock securely anymore.
Update...got a replacement Pro-Lock from CalTruck (only place I could find it) works better than the original ever did.

Great video!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience!!! ☮️🖖🏽

I had a similar experience and the found out the Snug Top corporation does not stand behind their product.
It looks good. I have one on the way for my Tacoma. Glad to hear function wise it holds up.

Reminds me of my old ARE Z topper, except the plastic latches for the rear door wore out.

Same here! It’s sad.
I just sold my Tonneau cover that I’ve had for 18 years on my dually. I’ve been considering a Snug Top Xtra Vision shell. Now, I’ve been reconsidering.
I appreciate your candid opinion regarding the top line model from Leer! I too prefer then snug top but that's also, just my opinion...
+E. Simons think it’s a SnugTop for me next time with less options.
ty for the feed back, nice videos by the way very helpful.
+James w Mallory you're welcome!
Thanks for your honest opinion. This helped alot.
(Pst..... it’s actually called Northern Lights Brewery!) But yes, we love our Big Juicy over here :)
Thanks for the review!

nice fix. My current Leer (came with the used Raptor) doesn't fold down. Dirty rear view forever. 😐
Very good observations. Thanks

Looks like quality is with Snugtop. Thank you for this video, I was already interested in the Snugtop because of the styles available.
Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, snugtop is not available in New England. I got the choice of Leer, ARE, and Jeraco.
My truck with a Snug Top just got totaled. I run a lumber rack with shell. The new truck/year I am buying can not use the SnugTop. I also believe the Snug Top is a better product. I believe you should send issues you have or this video to Leer. That way they can step up their fit and finish.

I went with the snug. I had a leer before and the build quality is night and day. Keep in mind I do sound competition, so they get abused. I hardly get any flex out of the snug. I couldn't keep the window in my leer
good to know. at the time I had the snug, it was a solid topper, but you pay for it...
@@TheFullLouie yes sir you do.. get what you pay for.
If you don't mind me asking but how tall are you? Does either brand have a high top model? Is there a solar panel option?
+shylildude 6'2''. Think they both have a high cab version. Not sure about solar but that would be cool
Fast forward to 2020… My experience ,the Leer was more expensive and snug top gave more options I got a free pro lock open slide window for freeThe guy that sold me mine did say that snug top was a better camper
I have a 2019 tacoma I'm really torn between a Leer and snugtop I don't know which way to go
You can do the right the job right. Put screws in straight, in the same amount of time.
It is easy to see there is not any quality control.
thanks i will look at snugs now
Thanks for the video! How much did this whole set up run you? Price of the leer? Price of the set up?
I'm curious, how would you compare ARE vs the Leer? I've got a price of $2100 from LEER, but I'm going for the mid size 180XL.
Sorry. No real world experience with an ARE.
Everyone does know Snugtop owns Leer it’s the same company.
Nope
No way?!
Truck accessories Group makes leer and snug top
Just ordred a snug top, about died when I was told the price...
At least this made me feel better about spending that much.
+Trevor Mcguff glad it helped. Snug top is good stuff. I don't think you'll be disappointed
Trevor Mcguff are you happy with your snugtop? Should I bite the huge price tag too?
Next one will be a snug top
I got my snug rebel for 2600 with taxes included 😱
After 3 years with the snug top about half the the pieces have broken. Total piece of crap.
Sliding window bounces around and is noise
Rear latch broke
Exterior break like broke
Internal dome lite fell off
Replaced window shocks twice as they can’t open the window.
Very helpful. Thank you
Just get it paint corrected by a detailer, all it is is the clear, that's what makes it look wavy
king ytuarte good call.
Very helpful
Great video thank you!
I just looked at a snug top for my dually. You're top looks just as good. You made the back of you're truck awesome. Do they make a bed rug for an 8 ft bed ?
Yes. I had one in an 8 ft bed of my Chevy Silverado. bedrug.com/bedrug-classic-bedliners
Hey whats that white stuff all over the ground?
+CentralCoastCamper LOL. Snow! Rough winter here in Central Oregon.
I agree 100%
Thanks for posting.. Very informative video
+Gerard Howard you're welcome! Thanks for watching
Suprised they didnt swap out those round heads for flat-top screws on that removable window.
Do you ever have problems with that rear latch freezing and rain or melting snow freezing in between that latch and the window
So, do you still have it? I wonder what you might have to say now a little over two years later?
I own the 2017 f150 lariat and I just ordered the Leer 750 sport bed cover I was told by most dealerships that Leer was the quality tops in the market no prior experience so hoping mine is a success
How’s that leer holding up
every look are A.R.E.
Good video, I want to see how you camped out with it also. Did you add some kind of tent closer on the back?
Beer. Brewski. Cold One. 12 Ounce Curl. Breakfast of Champions. Suds. Same problem.
Everybody's quality has gone down hill since TAG (LEER's owner) bought SnugTop. SnugTop's quality has gone down way more than LEER's though!
Other than that though, I’ve had it a year and it still works great, looks great and no leaks when everything is where it’s supposed to be
were did you get the bed and top covered, and what kinda mattress do you use?
+James w Mallory canopy was ordered the way you see it and installed locally. Mattress I use is Airbedz.
How do you'll like the airbedz??
I'm considering getting one for my truck.
Thanks! Great video!!
Thanks! Airbedz is pretty good. Not amazing but it works and fits well.
I ordered a 100xl and I’m waiting I’m going to camp in it
Thanks for the review, do you work in the beer business?
No, but I should. Save me a ton of money. 😁
TheFullLouie want a job at Columbia distributing?
What do u think of Leer vs ARE?
You in fort Lewis? I noticed the army PT cap
I’ve owned the snug, ARE and leer. I’m definitely sticking with Leer. I just feel like they are better built. Their molds are a lot straighter which you can see in darker colors.
I’d like Leer know about their screws and rust.
If you want a little better top?! Go with their 100 XQ
Good video!
+tony hoffman thanks Tony! Good to know.
I'm not happy with my leer. It looks great but the quality as far as the glass, gasket and locks is not good. I paid over 3k for mine not worth it... Next time I'll get a ARE
you should look at A.R.E. toppers
I may have missed you saying it but how much was it?
I'm looking for a fairly stripped down option for traveling with two big dogs.
Recommendations?
+Following The Son about $2600. If you're just looking for 'cover' look at ARE. If you're looking for top quality and longevity, SnugTop. Features for money... gonna have to say Leer. SnugTop for me next time but that's only because I'm finicky.
i would go with the SNUGTOP.?
My truck bed was made to get dirty, carpet?? No way..
Red pilled patriot I have a throw rug that fits perfect between my wheel wells. It's nice for when I camp in it, but I can still just pull it out when I'm hauling firewood or whatever
living in the pnw, i never understand carpet kits. ive never seen on that wasnt moldy after a few years
Sortbed or long bed?
Long. 6.5 foot
why is your music 18,000 times louder than your voice?
You never said how much it cost you...only that it was $200 or $300 more than a base Snug, which is what?
Sorry, but the screw issues could have been addressed with an inspection before you accepted it and drove off. Even without doing that on site, it could have been corrected under warranty.
+Geezer's Garage they didn’t look that way when I bought it. It was new from the factory. Had they been corroded new from factory then correction would have been requested
I reckon he means the crooked ones. If it were mine, I'd rub down and paint the corroded ones, easy fix in one hour.
I'm going RSI. Screw it.
Thanks! The rust and those poorly placed screws is just pathetic.
Cranked my volume to hear what you were saying, only to be deafened by your intro music
Philip George rip to my speakers
No price?
+arnan540 it was about 2500 as configured
I like the drunk review! Great and thanks for the share!
+Canadian Neo-Frontiersmen thanks! 🍻
I wouldn't have accepted the camper with those build defects. Completely unacceptable for the money.
Snugtop Thanks you for this review ;-)
I have a snug top had it for almost 10 years paint still looks good but everything else has fell apart both rear latches jack up all the time never closes right tried adjusting all the time finally gave up. Both strikers rotten away after like a year made my own. Front window leaks and screws fell out after 2 years. After 4 years approx window struts where completely bad you can buy them from snug top but there expensive no one else carries anything similar there actually from overseas. Dome light stopped right away button switch bad and side window was all scratched up when they installed it they tried to buff it out but broke window so they had to install new one never going to buy one again over priced and over rated
for money paid I would have made them fix it
I ordered an ARE shell six-weeks ago..The dealer called and said it was damaged during shipment.
The money they want for these caps you’d think they’d actually do a good job in making and painting them.
Anybody else watch the video review hoping to hear about the price comparison? 🤷♂️🤦♂️
How much ?
Around 2800
Try leveling your volume.
+Kobek have a whole new set up now. Hanks for the feedback!
Eyyyyy sco ducks
great info, thanks - learn how to do a mix and get a decent mic please, the into music way to loud vs voice over-
Break a rear glass and chuck the whole topper. Leer needs to pull its head out of its ass but we all know the authorized dealers are throwing 100% $ on top. Glass is 90 bucks on its best day. To the wrecker with mine. Oh and ill make my own cover just too fuck buying one if a latch breaks the whole thing is garbage...
Go Ducks!
YESSSSSSS
I would hv taken that back and had them fix everything. That is jst sloppy shity work.
volume normalization...
yeah. it was the early days. getting audio right is still hard w/out spending a lot of money and time while still making it simple. I 'hear' you.
Leer now owns snugtop........
good to know!
Thanks, I had no idea.
