- www.GloucesterC... Bringing back some of the past right here. This is one of several Coca Cola commercials from the 1950's. Some interesting social engineering takes place in these commercials.

I always wondered how they made tabletop jukeboxes work back in those days, seeing that they're much too small to hold any 45s.
HotWax93 They were little units that connected directly to the main jukebox in the diner. You’d drop in your nickel and select the song and the record would play out of the main jukebox.
And notice the one in this commercial unfortunately slips out of position when one of the woman touches it because, unlike a real tabletop jukebox selector, it’s not attached to anything.
Perfect nothing anyone?
me
Yep :)
If you listen closely, the singers sing 'There's nothing like a Cola-cola' on their last line.
49.9% cola
50% PERFECT NOTHING
0.1% anything else
This Cola from the past was the best. Not this corn syrup crap we have now
Cmd Heshiko if u buy coca cola hencen en mexico its close to the original formila
yep. there's nothing that can beat the best taste of c o c a i n e .
Smoking Lemon oh boy I can’t wait to ingest some d r u g s
I want fucking crack in my soda!!!! NOT coke but crack!!!!
@@smokinglemon2666 At the time of this recording, coca leaves had not been part of the recipe for about 50 years. They were replaced by a flavor essence in 1903.
0:14 "..and getting more and more worn out!" There you are, Ghost fans
I’m a ghost from the 1950s I like to play this on your pc when you almost going to sleep 😵💫😉

i like how 90% of comments are just here from perfect nothing
Funny how their portions were so much smaller back then. The glass they're drinking would be considered "child size" now. A small now would be twice that size and a large would be 5 times as much! Also drinking pop and eating in restaurants was not an everyday thing like it is now. It was considered a treat for a special outing.
actually, it's still a normal size here in Euopeans countries
@@loicdum8312 Actually all countries except USA Haha
If you go around to the back of this restaurant there's a black family enjoying a nice segregated meal.
Awesome
lmao at least they have a meal
_o h_
Well, It was just a part of the times, I guess.
Lmfao
it would be cool if they re-aired these
almost everyone appreciates the best;

Good to see old vintage commercials
I was born in the wrong time I love anything 1950s
Cody Dirkson You’re also fine with the 50’s discrimination?
@Cody Aaron Fuck the 50s. 70s and 80s were the best.
Nuka cola is better

can you explain?
Yeah.
@@cameroncalzone8860 i know i'm late but there's a producer called ghost who made a song with audio samples from this video (here's the song if you're interested - ua-cam.com/video/UE2vC5v8xLE/v-deo.html )
Yep. I have no idea what it is, but now I guess I'll do some searching.
Perfect nothing was so popular they based a commercial after it 👁️👁️
Coca Cola is the best soda in the world! It's really refreshing and good-tasted! Very well recommended for children, like me!
Tiago Antônio it’s too late the‘ve already got to you
Tiago Antônio why do you sound like a robot...oh god the Coca Cola has taken over your brain!
"almost everyone appreciates the best, it is no excuse."
Perfect Nothing
i fucking hate coca cola but my ears are being blessed simply because perfect nothing samples the vocals from this-
Damn They Still Using The Old Logo, But With Color Now :0
now this is advertising, no tweens or twenty somethings partying or hastaging in ridiculous outfits, just good honest folks from average joes to humble familes just slowing down, enjoying the sunshine with a crisp, refreshing bottle of ice cold coca-cola
remember when commercials would often start with an average joe just sitting by the fire maybe with a good book or taking a break from mowing the lawn to just...talk? not down to the veiwers like they're morons butjust honest straight up chat?
Jeez how old are you, 118?
shut the fuck up boomer
Mariofan 1985 commercials are meant to advertise products. They are designed to appeal to their target audience and use various tactics to do so. That style appealed to the audience back then, but now, very few people will be hooked by that type of commercial. You can’t hate on things that were never meant to stay the same in the first place! I get I’m super duper late on this, but I just like throwing my two cents in.

I remember this ad when wandering the wastelands...
Haha love the juke box and of course Coke
Welcome to 2017, where this would be called "sexist".
Gruntfetti howm because he mentioned how "a woman shops?" newsflash weather its 2017 or 1917 women and men shop for clothes not as much in real retail stores as back then i admit but it still happens
Mariofan 1985 he’s talking about how sensitive people are these days...
SpicyBubblegum welcome to 2020 were it is even worse, like climate change fuckers sat on train tracks and almost got hit
I’m watching this drinking a Coca Cola 🥤🧊😊
Im drinking coca-cola and watching this
*FADE AWAY ALL DAY*
*FIGHT DECAY ALL DAY*
The ad did not make me want a coca cola. It did make me want to play fall out again
MEMORIES=ESPECIALLY THE SONG🤗🤗.
I'm here from Noisepuppet's "Wat do"!
"Only a Cok... will do!"
"Yes, I taste Cok!"
everybody was drinking cocaine
Lol, I don't think it still had cocaine then but I could be wrong.
Cocaine was removed in 1903.
Back then 'real cane' sugar was in coke, not that refined sugar high fructose corn crap.
+Chris Harris False. Coca-Cola removed cocaine from its formula around 1905. By the time of this ad it was long gone.
I’m also here from GHOST’s perfect nothing and everyone knows about the “almost everyone appreciates the best” but is no one nothing the “and getting more and more worn out”? that’s also a line in the song iirc
Wow , Nothin like a coke!
ah. i like this. pErFeCt NoThInG
I LOVE COCA COLA
1:14,,, 50 millions times a day...sounds like a cult not a coke
Someone is also here from perfect nothing?
How the fuck did I end up here from the USMC documentary?
I know how I got here, I went on UA-cam and searched "coca cola christmas commercials" all while enjoying a hungry man dinner and an iced cold coca cola. (True story)
What the song says is true:
*FIGHT DECAY ALL DAY FADE AWAY ALL DAY*
Small servings. Not the Big Gulp and diabetes.
As the cups got bigger, so did the waistlines. :)
Coca-Cola tastes so, good!!! It's refreshing!!!
Your looking at dead people
Thank you, sonic
