Fine job of 'mowin' rocks, won't be long now, and that field and rolling hill will be pretty with green hay. Thanks for this one Dennis, always enjoyable to watch.
Most impressive rock rake and i like how it is designed to protect itself and lifted up when it came to that massive boulder. I'm pleased that you seem happy with the tractor thus far.
Great job, lots of rocks. What great machine to pick up rocks. Don’t believe I have ever seen one. Glad u r enjoying your new tractor. Enjoyed video as always. Ronald
I just bought an 8 ft rock rake at a garage sale this morning. I'm excited! We have picked and picked by hand, but you'd never notice. Now I can get serious!
Hello from Bristol. Hey Dennis. Well big red won’t be hard to spot among the blue. Looks like a nice one. That buddy seat will get lots of use. Especially liked the mowing trees video. Keep em coming and we’ll see ya on the next one.
I need to borrow that rock rake LOL It is a good design- looks like it moves a good amount of rocks, but too not much dirt. Glad the new tractor is working well for you!
I had a piece of land that I planted Bermuda grass by seed and a cultipacker with a seed box. I tried 5 times before it worked without washes. I was getting ready to give up. I like your rock machine. It will be worth the effort in the long run. You have some good projects.
The older generations made some ingenious machines, I like that Rock rake. Where I live in Wales ( uk ) my area is full of rocks, it's a hell of a job after ploughing. Great vids 👍
Never seen that kind of rake before......thats neat. We just use rock pickers up here in maine. Nver seen rock rakes. Looks like it helps level and work the soil a bit too
That rock rake was neat to see in action, never seen one before. Once again, you guys have all the cool tools. LOL You're going to have that field looking more like a yard than a hay field when you're done with it. LOL That's good tho, less bouncing around for the equipment & you in the seat. Good to hear the Massey is working out for you. Keep up the good work!! Stay safe.
It’s always crazy when you get into rocks they just seem to keep coming your equipment does a great job of rounding them up cool buddy seat good stuff for the boy hahaha see ya Napa mikeeeee
Man you have alot of cool equipment some I've never seen that rock rake and rock pickup are a big time saver better than using manual labor lol. I love the new massey Ferguson
That’s a good looking bunch of tractors that rake looked like it did perty good! How does your little guy like that buddy seat its the only one my boy will stay in for more than 5 minutes without crawling all over the cab!
You all will get sum it’s raining like heck in Colorado love it we need it so bad but I can’t get in and plant the ground not complaining we need it so bad you went red hum
i think you could keep doing that for about a month to clear them rocks, looks like its cleaning up good after all your hard work, keep up the good work, your rock picker would of not liked that big rock you found lol
How does that rock rake work on uneven ground? We are cleaning up a cutover tract. Curious if we would need to disc it to smooth out before we came in with a rock rake to clean up the debris.
It works good on uneven ground. Disking would be good to help level the ground and fill in holes but it's not mandatory. I did disk some of this ground where it was really rough.
Does that have an economy setting for 540 PTO Speed where the tractor can run at reduced rpm? Is that what it was running on? You guys have a gizmo for Everything!
Must be frustrating to give the customer a price for doing all of that, then have the weather mess it all up and hafta spend more time on it. It's hard to figure the weather into a price especially when you have other work with the tractor store. Kinda like answering all these stupid questions from us people on your channel. lol
Keep up the good work.. .red tractors.. We need to have dog checked out..lol, my biggest fear of that tractor would be that it comes out of China, that's were the factory is...take care
Yeah but it's an Agco factory its not outsourced to a Chinese company, that's when I would be concerned. Chinese people are just as good as anyone under the right direction, just like Americans, we are all created equal.
DLH Farms I hope it works for you, I just personally couldn't spend that kinda money on something assembled in China, they just dont care to build anything of quality
That's your opinion, but I've owned many tractors and this one is built just as well as any of them I've owned, the fit and finish is good and I've been beating and bouncing across these rough field trying to smooth them up and nothing has come loose or is rattling and it actually rides pretty good. All that is more than I can say for the T4 New Holland I had and it was built in Italy.
Fine job of 'mowin' rocks, won't be long now, and that field and rolling hill will be pretty with green hay.
Thanks for this one Dennis, always enjoyable to watch.
Thanks Reg glad you enjoyed it!
Most impressive rock rake and i like how it is designed to protect itself and lifted up when it came to that massive boulder. I'm pleased that you seem happy with the tractor thus far.
Thanks Dan! Always glad to hear your thoughts.
That spiral rake did a good job. Your boy will enjoy that buddy seat.
Oh yeah he already has been enjoying it. He loves to ride with Daddy.
Great job, lots of rocks. What great machine to pick up rocks. Don’t believe I have ever seen one. Glad u r enjoying your new tractor. Enjoyed video as always. Ronald
Thanks Ronald!
I just bought an 8 ft rock rake at a garage sale this morning. I'm excited! We have picked and picked by hand, but you'd never notice. Now I can get serious!
Good luck with it!
I have heard alot of things, but that is the first time I ever heard "assache". The wife and I both got a chuckle out of that. Thank you.
Lol. Excuse my French...
Hello from Bristol. Hey Dennis. Well big red won’t be hard to spot among the blue. Looks like a nice one. That buddy seat will get lots of use. Especially liked the mowing trees video. Keep em coming and we’ll see ya on the next one.
Glad to see your still hanging around Warren!
Just sat down back here in Ireland with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit to watch your video. Love the Massy Ferguson.
Awesome! Sounds like a relaxing time.
I need to borrow that rock rake LOL It is a good design- looks like it moves a good amount of rocks, but too not much dirt. Glad the new tractor is working well for you!
Yeah it leaves most of the dirt. It's pretty impressive.
Simple but clever that Rock Rake . Thanks for showing us.
Yes it was a simple design.
I had a piece of land that I planted Bermuda grass by seed and a cultipacker with a seed box. I tried 5 times before it worked without washes. I was getting ready to give up. I like your rock machine. It will be worth the effort in the long run. You have some good projects.
Yes I do have some good projects going. 👍
The older generations made some ingenious machines, I like that Rock rake. Where I live in Wales ( uk ) my area is full of rocks, it's a hell of a job after ploughing. Great vids 👍
Yep it is an ingenious design! It's a disaster here when you plow also that's why everyone when to no till here.
That rock rake is one sturdy piece of equipment to do dirty work like that. God Bless from Phoenix.
Yes sir it is and it's been doing this type of work for a lot of year's!
Nice to see someone else take the time to do a great job it’s obvious you take great pride in your work
Yes i absolutely try to do the best job I can
cool video loved the Massey with the rock rake thanks Dennis
Awesome 👍
the Massey Ferguson seems to be doing good.great video Bud.be safe and take care.✌️✌️
👍
When I was growing up that was what kids were for. My dad had a sled and we walked along beside it picking up rocks and putting them on the sled.
You can't find many kids that will do stuff like this anymore.
Nice job Dennis. The tractor is very quiet running, and looks like it has a comfortable ride to it.
It is very comfortable, I'm glad too because that's important to me the T4 NH was not very comfortable.
Love to see that older equipment still being used and still have its place in the field thanks for the video
Yeah it really saves on the hand work picking up rock
Stoked you’re enjoying the new machine! It sure sounds quiet even through the camera. Darcy will be out there wheeling on his own before you know it
Yep he would be going now if I'd let him haha.
I’m glad to hear you like the tractor. That cab is quiet.
Yeah it's pretty impressive for a small tractor.
Never seen that kind of rake before......thats neat. We just use rock pickers up here in maine. Nver seen rock rakes. Looks like it helps level and work the soil a bit too
It does help work the soil a bit, it does a good job.
That rock rake was neat to see in action, never seen one before. Once again, you guys have all the cool tools. So far so good on the Massey just finished up this seeding job today
Great video, good closeup on equipment shots.thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
It’s always crazy when you get into rocks they just seem to keep coming your equipment does a great job of rounding them up cool buddy seat good stuff for the boy hahaha see ya Napa mikeeeee
Geez, Napa Mike rocks are a never ending battle around here must be billions of them.
Glad you are liking the massey and enjoyed video!
Awesome thanks Billy!
Man you have alot of cool equipment some I've never seen that rock rake and rock pickup are a big time saver better than using manual labor lol. I love the new massey Ferguson
Thanks Jimmy my dad bought the rock equipment back in the 70's
Interesting video ! Well done ! I appreciate you sharing! Enjoy the journey my friend and may God continue to bless you and your family !!!!!! Eddy
Thanks Ray!
That's going to be the smoothest hay field in existence! When I redo mine, I know who to call ;)
Sounds good! 👍
Enjoyed the video like it DLH and old rock rake .
Good glad you liked it
Looks like you made a good choice on the Massey, happy rock hunting.
If all hunting was this easy..... Lol
Looking good. Just think people use to pick all the rock up by hand. New tractor looks and sounds good. 👍🏻
I still do pick up a lot of rock by hand at times but this is a lot of land to cover and a lot of stuff to get up.
That’s a good looking bunch of tractors that rake looked like it did perty good! How does your little guy like that buddy seat its the only one my boy will stay in for more than 5 minutes without crawling all over the cab!
Looking good man. Hate you are having to deal with it washing like that. I know your pain. I see rye grass growing on that in the near future lol.
Most of it's planted now I hate to say it but it needs some rain. Lol
DLH Farms Funny how that works you know. I think some rain is coming Sunday. We need it too
That rock rake is a great lookin piece of equipment seems to leave a good seed bed
It does leave a nice seedbed.
Nice old setup is does a great job. Keep up the great video's
Thanks Kenny me and the tractors are slowly getting the job done.
would like to see a camera view on the top of the rock picker looking back to see the ground of what is left
Next time I use it I will do that.
I will put tensioner spring to keep the cable out the way, with enough tension to just keep it from flexing.
Looking good if u do that enough you'll have flat field like we have out west.
Lol I don't have that much time.
another fine job mate
Thanks Leon!
You all will get sum it’s raining like heck in Colorado love it we need it so bad but I can’t get in and plant the ground not complaining we need it so bad you went red hum
Yep did you miss the revel video?
i think you could keep doing that for about a month to clear them rocks, looks like its cleaning up good after all your hard work, keep up the good work, your rock picker would of not liked that big rock you found lol
No the rock picker wouldn't like that one I dug it out with the bucket and hauled it off.
We don't grow too many rocks in iowa. Very interesting
How many bushels per acre do you average? What's the market value for rocks?
Haha funny!
Very interesting and informative, thank you.
Your welcome
Yea I got it comfortable boots, hat & shirt, don't want to get rid of them.
Lol 👍
Nice to see that this tractor is quite. Just one other thing is it a fuel economy or does it drink alot.
Time will tell but the first tank averages out to about 1.5 gallons per hour. It's a 3 cylinder engine.
looking good
Thanks 👍
How does that rock rake work on uneven ground? We are cleaning up a cutover tract. Curious if we would need to disc it to smooth out before we came in with a rock rake to clean up the debris.
It works good on uneven ground. Disking would be good to help level the ground and fill in holes but it's not mandatory. I did disk some of this ground where it was really rough.
Thanks for the info.
I've never seen a auger rock rake before. Interesting.
It's a neat old machine.
Does that have an economy setting for 540 PTO Speed where the tractor can run at reduced rpm? Is that what it was running on? You guys have a gizmo for Everything!
It's an option but this tractor doesn't have it. You have to choose between 540e or 1000 this one can be changed to 1000
I like your tractor, you not some cool stuff I never seen before, hope you get it sowed before you wear the dirt out.
I finally got it done yesterday!
Working a 10acre rock field now, what brand is that old rock roller.
It's an Anderson, they don't make them anymore, but there are company's that make rock equipment, but it's expensive.
That was interesting - Thanks
👍
Great tools but really makes me glad we don't have rocks to deal with in my part of the country!
Wow! You are one lucky guy!
Yeah you got to dig really deep in Mississippi to find rocks:)
Thank you for sharing Dennis. Suppose to be dry weather till Saturday?
Yep that's what they are saying.
Does the massey tractor must have emmisions burner on it?
It does not have a burner on it but it does have Exuast Fluid.
I did went back
How’s your hay growing? We just fertilized up here yesterday, gotta be at least three weeks behind.
It growing, it will be about 4 more weeks before any is ready here.
Just curious, do you dig a big trench in the ground and bury the rocks?
No I'm just putting them I'm the woods on the edge of the property for now.
I have a job going on like that as well. Never ending lol. Does your ram have an auto trans or 6 speed manual?
It has the Aisin auto, I'm tired of shifting gears. Lol
👍🏼another great video. Enjoy tractors as well. Did you ever get ford fixed? Just wondering
Yep all the Ford's are fixed around these parts.... For now lol
Dude after buying that tractor they should have given you a case of those hats. JD would.
Lol they did give me a hat but it's to nice to wear while working.
Must be frustrating to give the customer a price for doing all of that, then have the weather mess it all up and hafta spend more time on it. It's hard to figure the weather into a price especially when you have other work with the tractor store. Kinda like answering all these stupid questions from us people on your channel. lol
Lol your right on it!!
Note to self, don't stand behind the rock picker...did you see that giant one go flying?
Lol sometimes they do that
What do you think of the bobcat rock rake an have you run one before
Do you mean the Harley rake I was taking about? If so yes I've run them extensively they are the best there is.
No that's more like a pulverizer the rock picker for bobcat is a continuous set of fingers on a belt raking in rocks to the bucket
Nope never used one of those
They are called a rockhound an they give a nice seed bed
Time to get a Massey Ferguson cap Dennis lol
Lol I've got one but it's to nice to wear.
Where is the tn95?
I sold it.
Also it's just assembled there most all the parts are made elsewhere.
Lol........at your comment on armrests.....i think you mean elbow snubbers!
Lol yes exactly!
Can I make good money ,If I own 1,000 acres of land?
Depending on what you do with the land i guess
now you need a rock crusher and sell landscape stone
Yep I can't afford one of those yet. Lol
lol half mil of equipment........ your hard working guy don't forget to take some time off
Lol I know for a $6000 dollar job don't seem right.
That rock catcher looks like its chains need some grease or oil
It was oiled before use
How about a brand new rock rake on a 40 year old massey.
I like it the other way around
Another bumper crop of rocks..... if there was only a way to make money farming rocks.
I haven't figured out how to sell them yet. Some people have but not me. Lol
Better get you a MF hat and throw away that new holland hat.
I couldn't afford it they wanted an extra $10 for it.
if you drive slow enough ,,,,,,it will do a better job
