Le Bois Bois de Vanille is my scent of the day and it’s so delicious. So glad I purchased this after you posted it was back in stock. Mon Guerlain is one of my faves as well. Such a great list of fragrances. And by the way, you look so beautiful. That lip color is stunning on you! ❤
Despite trends and many blogger reviews, I always want a timeless perfume collection. And slowly I build it up. :-) My collection includes Mon Guerlain, Black Orchid, Gris Charnel, Hypnotic Poison EDT, Cierge de Lune, Starlight, Addict, Angelique Noire, Cuir Beluga, Golestan, Guidance, Jour d'Hermes Absolu, Matcha Meditation, Angel Muse, Phylosikos, Portrait of a Lady, Coco Mademoiselle Intense, Opium, Pontevechio and Pikovaya Dama. Thank you Anne for being authentic, chic, and very European. Such an inspiration!
I love this goal! ❤️ I think whatever speaks to you the most and your personal style is the best way to build your collection :) And thank you so much!
I tested Cuir Beluga a few weeks ago and it really was an "oh, this is what the art of perfumery can achieve" moment for me, it's gorgeous. Flew to the top of my wishlist, can't wait to have a special reason to splurge on a bottle.
Hey Anne...something I have recently really noticed is how some other content creators, that their bottles are full full full all of the time, for Middle Eastern fragrances. I get that that can often be the case if recently acquired, and that it can take a while before you might see a dent in the full bottle...BUT, I am becoming suspicious of true and honest reviews. I am becoming skeptical that what is being communicated in some cases is simply what a creator thinks the viewers want to hear. I want to hear honesty, particularly when I start to get what a particular creator seems to gravitate towards, as it helps me to make decisions. I ABSOLUTELY know your reviews are yours!!! I respect and thank you for that. 😍
Girl, they’re all getting free bottles + getting paid to promote these brands & new releases. It’s painfully obvious. Notice how they all post about the same house/fragrance in the same week. It’s cause they all got PR packages.
Being honest with you guys has always been my top priority, it means a great deal to me that people come back to this channel and trust what I have to say. I may have a different taste from others naturally, but I'll tell you how it is in my experience ❤️ As you know, dents are of course more difficult to form when someone has a large collection, and where some people are over sprayers, others are more light handed. I understand your skepticism though, it can feel disconnected when there are never dents to be seen.
I can guarantee the light handed sprayer. I’m one of them so I go through fragrances MUCH slower with a slower dent than others. Usually two sprays is enough for me, sometimes one if the fragrance is strong or has a grande sillage. And when a Content Creator has over 100 or over 200 fragrances it’s dang hard to be creating any significant dents if they spray like me. lol! It’s great when I absolutely love a fragrance so I don’t bemoan it’s lowering! 😂 I bemoan when it’s a 10ml and anxiously look at the dent especially if I’m using it alot! As in my cozy Replica Afternoon Delight. It’s showing. Ugh! One day I’m going for that 30ml I swear! 😉 (PS. It looks like the larger bottle and I can afford that and they’re coming out with a cute set 😁)
My collection isn’t that large yet and I’m an oversprayer. It still takes me forever to get through even a 10 ml bottle because I’m constantly sampling new perfumes trying to curate my collection. I would imagine that it would be hard for fragrance reviewers with 100, 200 or more bottles to put dents in their perfume.
I get what many are saying about the difficulties of reviewers putting dents in their bottles. I think my observation is more around how I appreciate Anne (and other reviewers like her), that give truly honest opinions ALL of the time. My feelings are that many are increasingly NOT doing this. I love the honesty.
This lipstick on you is chef's kiss! And Celine black tie has been on my wish list for a long time. The samples keep being sold out but I am determined to try it eventually!
You sold me on two more perfumes that I'm excited to say were blind buy wins! This was the video that made me finally pull the trigger on Les Bois Bois de Vanille. What a beautiful fragrance! It smells unique but somehow familiar at the same time. There aren't many people talking about this one but the descriptions I've read/heard have been a little all over the place. Maybe there are batch variations? Some people have said it's a deep, boozy vanilla perfect for fall/winter. Others have described it as green and not sweet at all. You said you get coconut and a ylang vibe... I genuinely wasn't sure what to expect. Mine came yesterday and I agree with your review the most! I don't get a winter, boozy vanilla at all (although I agree it can be a year round fragrance). This is going to sound crazy, but it reminds me of how I remember Armani Si smelling with the patchouli removed, coconut water added, and infused with airiness and sunshine. I immediately thought spring time at first sniff. I definitely get a fruity opening and then as it wears, I smell a coconut that reminds me of how fresh coconut water tastes- it's *almost* salty but not not tropical, though. To my nose it's an elegant fruity, floral, vanilla fragrance reminiscent of Armani Si but done better- happier, less syrupy, and not "designer/generic" smelling at all. The other one you sold me on was Prada La Femme. I generally dislike floral fragrances but have been looking to add a clean, office friendly fragrance to my collection of mostly woody/spicy vanilla's. I half expected La Femme to be a blind buy fail, but I LOVE IT! So much so that I already bought a back up bottle. It's an elegant, clean, floral fragrance that's warm and still has personality. I feel so pretty wearing it. Thank you for your recommendations! Your reviews are such a joy to watch and you give some of the best, most accurate descriptions I've heard!
Love that lipstick on you!- It's perfect for you! And yes, a few of these are in my forever list, esp Cuir Beluga and G Water are at the top of my forever list, plus you make me want to try 2 others I don't have.
Hi Anne, thanks to your recommendation, my new favourite perfumes are Black Tie by Celine and Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain! They are beautiful so thank you! xx
I typically like sweet and gourmand fragrances but I really fell for G Water. I love how fresh and clean it smells. I have just been looking at Bois de Vanille thinking it would be great for fall/winter. I’m happy you reviewed it. I think I’ll get it.
I've been stalking your account these days waiting for a new video ✌🏻 I live with your voice in the background Would you consider a video about cocoa/chocolate perfumes? OH and also you often say that woody vanillas are your favourite... what about a video on those? 🤭
Thank youuuu loved the video I prepared my listing of timeless for my futur video and well few are the same a ones ! Cuir béluga is one of my most timeless and beautiful scent ever ! Black tie made it too 😜 Psss : when is your make up tutorial coming ? 😍🔝
Thanks Anne! That was a great list. And honestly what I want the majority of my life collection to be...timeless. I'm so excited to tell you that my husband blind bought Hufflepuff for me yesterday while I was at work! It's not even on my wishlist and I haven't sampled it. He just said he wanted me to have a cupcake❤🤞
I bought Fragrance World Intro Ivory Musk some time ago based on your recommendation, and it's really beautiful, one of my most used fragrances atm. Thank you! 😍
Regrettably Gypsy water doesn’t last at all. I get max 30 minutes with overspraying even on clothes. I tried and I like Black Tie, but it’s also not lasting as long as I would expect from a perfume for 300$. I went with Vanille des Afriques from Ormonde Jayne instead, it has a similar butteriness vibe especially at dry down.
Would you make a video about green/juniper vanillas? G water is one of my ultimate favorites, and I'd love to find other scents I love in a similar way (also because for me, G water is both suuuuper expensive and also doesn't perform that well for me, so I've been looking for similar alternatives to try). I trust your opinions, so I'd love to hear your list :) Every time you bring up green vanillas I'm like LET THAT BE THE NEXT VIDEO!!!
YES!! We need a Middle Eastern dupe for Gypsy Water😅Somebody needs to dupe this maybe even elevate it AND give it the performance we seek because it’s lacking big time especially for the crazy price! The only fragrance worse performance for me in the Byredo line is Mojave Ghost-literally gone within minutes 👻
I love your videos and i love your style! Today I ordered BDK Gris charnel because of you❤ Can you tell me what do you think the new Glossier fragrances? Thanks😊
Thank you! ❤️ Ah so nice for fall!! I went to Sephora the other day and was disappointed with both actually 😕 Both are skin scents and don't have good performance, You Doux definitely shares a similarity to Santal 33, but it's much tamer, creamier, smells more unisex, and has a prominent musky feel. It doesn't offer anything new to the market, and I think there are better "Santal 33-esque" perfumes out there. The opening of You Reve was lovely, creamy, softly sweet, a beautiful plummy iris, but quickly becomes this nondescript, flat, kind of waxy fruity musk in my opinion. 😬
Anne, have you ever smelled L’heure Bleue by Guerlain? It’s a beautiful, almost melancholic and haunting powdery iris/violet/vanilla scent that you may like! To me it smells like the ghost of a rich young Edwardian woman who lives in a historic old mansion in Paris. She’s curled up on a gloomy rainy day with a book of Edgar Allen Poe , sitting in a window seat in her father’s large library while the rain delicately falls. She’s blue, worried about the future, and secretly writes poetry. It’s truly a moment in time captured in a bottle, a time capsule of the distant past that instantly transports you once you put your nose to it. It’s not just vintage, it’s a masterpiece. It’s also the perfect Sad Girl perfume. I’d love to know your thoughts on it!
@@AnneLauren make sure you get the EDP with the light blue and yellow vintage art nouveau label!! The newer ones with the dark blue label are horrible!
I just finished a sample of Gypsy Water. Like the scent but for the price, it doesn't project well enough for me to justify a full bottle. I would have to over-spray or apply multiple times a day to keep the scent going which seems like a waste.
Anne, how long did you have to let your bottle of Bois De Vanille mature? I just got it and its nothing like any reviews have described. Mine is super screechy and lashes out to straight up hurt my feelings. I am hoping it will evolve and mature and learn from its mistakes. 😂
Hey Anne! I’m on the hunt for a perfect beach fragrance, similar to Ylang in Gold. Have you ever tried Nette’s “Coco Fleur”, and if so, what did you think?
I have! I love the opening, but I really dislike the dry down. It's warm, creamy, solar ylang ylang, coconut milk, ambrette, and bergamot, smells like there’s a little vanilla too. But as it dries down, it becomes harsh and salty to my nose.
Oh you are so Awesome--I hope you never tire of me saying the same things because I will never tire of watching ❤ big kiss honey--hope that all is well with you and yours❤

Cuir Beluga has always been my favourite scent from Guerlain La Matière Collection.
Nice list. I would swap Delina for BDK Gris Charnel. For some reason I can't stand Delina. I enjoyed the review.
Le Bois Bois de Vanille is my scent of the day and it’s so delicious. So glad I purchased this after you posted it was back in stock.
