This is a great video. I actually purchased a dishwasher drain hose from home depot. I connected it to the bottom outlet, ran it along the old hose, and zip tied it. I cut the square part of the old hose, made a split in it and ran the new hose through it to keep it secured. Worked great for $15.
Your explanations are very good but the photos are very confusing. Too much on the screen at one time to see what is being done. Very hard to see the indicators you are using as well.
I was just taking note of what cycle the machine was on when it leaked. It turned out mine leaked during the empty cycle so that narrowed it down to the drain tube.
@@yourdiytechlife were you able to bypass the lid lock somehow to watch the inside to se the leak? Mine is leaking during the wash, I’m about ready to duct tape my cell phone to the inside to make a movie of the inner workings with a flashlight lol
@@Karenwhitepaints mine was leaking so fast there was no question of when it leaked. So that was not an issue. If it’s a slower leak and only leaks during the wash it could be the main bearings but I would guess it’s probably something else. I think the first thing I would do is tip the washer up and see if there are any obvious signs of residue left from the leak. Usually you will see water stains or residue of some sort.
There is also a lot of water once you open the lid to take the clothes out. Never was like that before. Seems like the washer is sending in water when it is on the spin cycle.
Years ago I had problems with the valve that controls the flow of water when the washer was being emptied, it was a fairly easy job to replace and it fixed a similar problem. That’s the first place I’d look in to. Unfortunately I didn’t document it or make a video but I bet there’s more info out there on that. I’ll take a look when I get a chance and see what I can find.
The water only comes into the washer while it’s doing its final fast spin. The water flies out of the washer and onto the floor. Seems like the mother board is sending the signal for water when it shouldn’t Very confusing. Appreciate any insight you have.
Hello at the same washing machine, I noticed the leak is coming from the pump itself. With replacing the pump fix the problem or is it some type of seal
Hey there. If the pump is working I would get a gasket kit first if you can. Make sure to check your waste pipe for leaks as the water will run down the pipe and look like it’s coming out farther down like on the pump.
Hi Dan - Your other video on the seal and bearing really saved me . So now im experiencing a leak in right hand corner , at the floor . I have been haveing a scretching /squeeling noise as the agitator turns for some time . I worried that maybe the seal from the last job ruptured as i did have to take it apart a few times to get it right . Questions - 1) im trying to determine if this is the right part as it cost 157.00 on sears direct , with harness as your s says . 2) did your machine squell when agitating ? Thank you for this info - We love the machine and trying to keep as long as possible..
I don’t recall a squealing noise at all. When the hose was leaking it was due to the mounts breaking but it never made a strange noise other than the hose flopping around inside. You might try and pull the agitator and see if something is wrong with how it’s installed. I don’t remember what the hose assembly cost me but as I recall I got it from eBay and made sure it was original f and p parts. I agree, I think these washers are great and are worth fixing rather than getting a new one.
@@yourdiytechlife Thanks Dan - Ebay said sold out - so i will go with Sears Direct for the hose and harness . I will then pull the agitator again - i did get a new seal kit from ebay but from Australia- shipping took some time but the cost was like 22.00 . I could not find the seal kit on sears parts direct for a reasonable price due to supply chain issues i guess ?? . Ok thank s for you reply - ill reply back once i get the part . I guess in the mean time im pulling the agitator and putting in new seal - lol ok take care .

I have an eco smart that’s leaking during the wash cycle, how did you diagnose the where the leak was coming from?

I have a GWL11US top loader washer that leaks water only on the spin cycle. Any ideas what is wrong?

you didn't show how to take those hoses. off, question, does the pump itself leak if it's working? and if it does, what part on it would. thanks.
