Can we just appreciate that last game by Javier. The bait low fire into kitana jump instant teleport was the hardest read I’ve ever seen. Then the final combo he purposefully did a slightly shorter combo so he could get to EX hellfire to win before nicolas got breaker
Like talk about knowing exactly how much damage your combo’s do and the hellfire. And to realize that Kano was hit and is gunu come back so you need a faster combo. SHEESH this man is goated

Javier is underrated imagine if he plays a top tier character
I think the reason why he plays so good is because he plays scorpion. Scorpion as a character forced him to hone himself. Don't think he would've been this good if he started off using raiden in mk1

I am a huge fan of Xavier since he kicked the ass of Sonic with Lowpion and made him go into an excuse mode. His matches yesterday proved that he is a threat, so Sonic better watch and learn :D. Also, it is always nice to see how many options the game offers and how much variety of characters/kameos we can have, and this will improve with time. I suspect Reptile will have his moment to shine as well, Bee.

The chip damage raiden playstyle is the most boring thing to watch.
Exactly... I'm a Raiden main and I don't play like this... It's boring, non creative, cheap and annoying. Most Raiden players are trash and act like his F43 is the only way to start his combos. Or they do exactly what we just saw the entire set.

The last game was 10x more enjoyable to watch than the others because Javier was actually trying to open up his opponent. The first 3 games of Raiden-Kano vs Scorpion-Stryker is why MK has a hard time currently as a game to watch as a spectator. It's an extremely boring playstyle to watch when both players are just trying to chip and low poke with always safe moves. Not all games are like that, but whenever someone's game plan is chip + kameo protection it makes the games tedious both to play or to watch.
Holy sheet even if i despise javier for basically inventing the most obnoxious scorpion playstile ever created he just played out of his mind here and it's kinda morally wrong to cheer for raiden kano anyway, so i guess lets go Javier!!!

I see alot of people saying kano/stryker should be nerfed i think that would make the game less interesting i feel they should buff other kameos to be able to do something similar as it will give more representation to other kameos
Ah yes let's go from 2 problems to 20.
Kano needs fixes more than nerf, no more off screen ambushes and maybe a bit more recovery on the charged ball and he's fine.
Striker nades on the other side are just wrong they still make specials safe and plus on block and also give u a full combo if the opponent tries to punish u, same thing if u call him after the opponent does something plus on block to you, if he tries to keep his turn u get a full combo, striker is inexcusable fir the amount of dumb shit he can do
@@davidepanceri8192 off screen Kano will always be a thing as every kameo does stuff off screen sometimes and while I'll agree Stryker can use adjustments the game needs changes to all the kameos as you don't see reasons to use any others except the meta ones, for example tremor being only used with Reiko but even then that's only the metallic ground pound

if this game did something right, is giving all characters enough mix-ups to be good if you put creativity into your setups
I don't believe any character falls to B tier honestly, and all in A tier are at the same level, with S tier being characters like Kenshi with his Sento pressure once he freezes you after a hit.

Raiden's passive is very consistent with NRS characters design.... They always make sure that the character cannot have his same game plan done to him.... Johnny cage is rush down behemoth... You wanna rush him down... He has a 2 frame parry and a truly invincible wake up to stop your from doing that...
Scorpion runs away the whole match... You finally close in he teleports away...
Ther is no tier list its all about your skills

to your point of raidens "passive" it's more of an gimmick, each character has a gimmick, Shang can morph young and old independent of string. Nitara has life steal, cause her race drinks blood. Geras has his clocks, etc. Raidens getting chip dampen from the point of "building static".
You have to actually perform all those other moves though. Raiden just gets to take less chip for sitting there blocking.
@SeanBjerke while that is true, it's better that it's passive because if you could input it and actively null chip damage, Raiden would be extremely op. Granted that it would be dependent of the cooldown of inputting it vs it being passive.
In all honesty, it's minuscule if the overall picture.
@@GugieMonster I think Bee’s point is, Raiden doesn’t earn this ability - it’s a gift. And since he doesn’t earn it, it’s like, why not give everyone some small gift? Johnny’s throw tech where he breaks your arm and you can’t throw for a bit is a similar example, although you have to actually perform the tech.
If you had to input something to reduce chip, at least there would be some inherent risk involved, like being hit during the move’s animation.
This is so dumb. He just gets the ability with no downsides. The other characters have to actively do something and nitara has lower health while he gets it for just blocking.

Thoughts on why NRS didnt nerf kano/striker or did a proper balance update this season?
I don’t get why Cyrax uses a full bar for his spin but not Kano/Stryker for their projectiles. They’re used for the same exact thing except they can do it faster

YES, get that corny ass raiden/kano out, people complain about stryker, but as a scorp main, there are ALOT of times where the Stryker grenades miss, and ALOT of times you can't make the punish in time, vs raiden/kano's corny ass stormcell/kano. I promise you scorp mains don't enjoy playing Stryker, we feel like as have to because he's such a terrible character and everything he does is ridiculously punishable.

NGL the fact that someone is almost winning a "pro" tournament by playing the same way as noobs looking for easy wins is kind of sad, game needs huge changes to balance, feels like it rewards players for not experimenting / learning the game etc. Nothing against nicolas, I'm sure hes a good player and its a tournament so got to do what he got to do but NRS should be ashamed

Make no mistake though, this isn't scorpion as a character being good. This is all Javier. Javier would be doing way better if he used a top tier character instead of scorpion but he's a loyalist so he doesn't.
You act as if Scorpion the character is what’s making Javier go far, nah, this dude is just like that and has mastered this character, he been on the upper echelon as a player in mk1 and knows the game bruh, scorpion doesn’t have anywhere near the best gimmicks or tools in the game on his own, but you can always win a game against someone who’s just worse than you, or if you got a really good kameo with an already mastered character and refined player.
Raidens like this and some others make the game lame af/boring!
