Shrek 2 deserves to be on lists of "Top 10 Greatest Animated Sequels" (even if they're honiravle mentions instead of actually on the list), but Shrek 1 is nearly as awesome because while both films have their flaws, they tried so successfully (no pun intended on how greatly they did at the box office, especially Shrek 2) to make fairy tale culture much more kind towards equal rights of fairy tale character types by empowering at least a singular amount of princesses and giving ogres and donkeys heart as well as showing that they don't deserve to be stereotyped as helpless wusses and/or bitter-spirited.

I'm genuinely surprised that you didn't mention that Shrek 4D was solely created for the Universal Studios theme park ride of the same name. That's why the movie is filmed at that one low angle for majority of its run-time and that's why the characters never shut up, they are constnalty trying to engage the audience during the attraction. The 4 in 4D comes from the part of the attraction where the seats would vibrate, as well as smells and visual effects like fog, mist, and bubbles being pumped into the theater.
Only good sequels I can name off the top of my head are Aliens, Terminator 2, Shrek 2 and Toy Story 2. All of which are arguably even better than the original.

Yeah, as bad as that thing looks, I have to agree here. Draw Together's movie shouldn't really be here, simply because it wasn't a sequel to another movie. It belongs on "the worst movies based on series ever" instead.
First of all, that wasn't a Rugrats character, though the two shows were created by the same people, understandable mistake. Second of all, strangely, Nigel seems to be the Homer of this show.
the first ones animation was bad but it had ( in my humble opinion) a really good mystery plot, the second movie decided it wanted to be a buddy cop movie, forced to characters together and said wait we really need to cash in on this food fight movie people are talking about
Great video! Thanks for always being so polite and considerate. It’s so refreshing to find a well-mannered UA-camr! I think you did miss a huge one on my list of “Worst Animated Sequels”- Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Look it up, I think it’s even worse than “Belle’s Magical World”. Basically, Beast starts verbally abusing and neglecting Belle and all his servants because AN EVIL, talking ORGAN (musical instrument) tells him to. That’s it, that’s the movie.
Also, I know you must get annoyed by video requests, but can you do top 10 disney shows? I haven't seen any truly good lists on YT yet, and it would complete your Top 10 Best/Worst 6-pack of videos
Thanks Darkmuffin. And yeah :) I may end up just doing it on livestrider as it doesn't get requested as much as others but I'll definitely do best disney soon
Oh boooy.....this one is sooo messed up... This is the sequel of the "Little Fox"(Vuk), a hungarian cartooon from 1980, which is a classic, and everybody loves it! But this garbage should've been in the top 3, for being hideous, poorly written/animated, disrespectful to the original, and corrupted (the production money went "somwhere else..."🙄).
I loved Rugrats go Wild! I know it's just your opinion. And i respect it. But does anyone else remember seeing it in theaters and getting the scratch and sniff ticket to use at certain parts?
i dont remember the scratch and sniff tickets, maybe they didnt do them in my area. I did like the movie though, i was obsessed with Animal Planet as a kid (for a frame of reference, I've seen every episode of crocodile hunter multiple times) so naturally i loved the wild thornberries. I was also a huge fan of Rugrats, so to see them having a crossover was enough to make me start frothing at the mouth in excitement.
Honestly, I gave it a mixed review. The animation is probably the best part and the characters are mixed, but I hate the writing. Story: 4/10, Animation: 9/10, Characters: 5/10, Overall: 6/10
I actually like rugrats go wild when I was young. Angelica and the teenager girl in the van. "SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO" Song. That was the first time I have ever heard of that song.
Fun fact about Tentacolino Is not only Italian, but is a collaboration with North Korean Studio Studio Sek That produced... Adrian La Serie Evento, a series that here in Italy is legendary for his bad animations
Mobcraft101 I found it pretty insulting to the original- not The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 level of insulting, but pretty insulting. And dumb. Really, really, dumb.

People forget how groundbreaking THE LAND BEFORE TIME was in the late 1980s, at least in terms of its subject matter. There had never been an animated film with dinosaurs as the protagonists before, and this was before all the JURASSIC PARK sequels (not to mention Barney) had made everyone sick of dinosaurs. I remember loving the animation most of all, because it was cutesy yet also somehow grounded in reality. In fact, I'd put that animation on the same level as that of ALADDIN or THE LION KING.
He also forgot that it was a KID. A TINY LITTLE 5 YEAR OLD KID. People would think you're talking about a young woman who got killed by her dad, when really a LITTLE GIRL GOT KILLED. It can't get worse than this.
PhantomStrider Yeah, I was just confused at that part ^^; I mean...I get that it's not exactly plot heavy, but it WAS meant to just be a little ride/show at a theme park that was just meant to waste about 30 minutes of your free time while waiting for the roller coaster's lines to speed up.
While I agree that the Drawn Together movie is horrendous, it is not a sequel, but rather a continuation of the TV series (which I already hated). A better No.1 would be something like Cars 2 or some additional direct-to-video Disney sequel.
Shrek 4D is a gimmick ride in universal Studios. Of course it's going to be filled with "bad" 3D and weak jokes and catchphrases. It's meant to entertain young kids and their parents who just want a fun ride with characters they recognize.
Yeah Cars 2 isn't really good but it isn't horrible by any means. At least when compared to these movies, it could be in a top 20 list, though, that's for sure! Haha
I find it odd how Drawn Together: The Movie elects to parody South Park, a show that has already done all that shit except actually good. (Well, most of the time)
Gonna be honest, I completely forgot about it's existence at all. Now I remember, I don't remember it being bad, at all, but I do remember the first being better.
It had a quick plot, pretty much a obvious villain reveal, some funny jokes about food, and even the obvious cliches in this sequel and was just overused. I perfer the first one better.
The first one was technically better, but I prefer it to the first just because of the backgrounds and foodimals. It's an eye all-you-can-eat-buffet, no pun intended.
I honestly thought the marriage joke in Shrek 4D was funny. I'm pretty sure they weren't trying to tell kids that all marriages are doomed to fail, they were just making a joke. Jokes don't have to be wholesome, hell animated movies in general don't need to be wholesome for them to be good.
Rugrats Go Wild crossed a line for me. it was so bad, so cringe-worthy, that it became funny. it's amazing how all the ideas they had for that movie would be executed so poorly and with no care
I respectfully disagree but just a bit. I understand exactly why he disliked it and why u do as well but . . . God I loved watching this movie as a kid. DO u know what it was like for a kid to see 2 of his favorite cartoons come together for a full length movie as a kid!?!? I was hopping off the walls in excitement XD
I've seen Rugrats Go Wild, and while I think Strider was a bit harsh on it, he wasn't far off. Of course, I'm not much of a "Wild Thornberries" fan. Tbh, I think the characters in that show are... kind of ugly.
BigAlsAngryBirdVids I will admit that the family do have a bit . . to eccentric designs. But the theme of it and the way they all acted was perfect for me ^^

Did you see Cinderella 3? I'd put it as one of the better Disney sequels along with Lion King 2 and Rescuers Down Under.
and donkey just won't shut up XDDD
coincidence?
Silver Panther 2000 shrek 4d was just halarious in a bad way
Well that was a constant from the beginning
The only good Dreamworks franchise left in my opinion is How To Train Your Dragon.
Hey now, give it time, they'll find a way to ruin that one too. ;)
what about Kung fu Panda & Madagascar?
No it is not.
Kung fu pamda?
Voltron
In the first ten seconds I see a CG furry, this is gonna be a good 'un
Why did they even make a sequel to the beautiful story of the Rats of Nimh! I loved the book and liked the movie!
I read the book in 3rd grade, and I still will never forget it
Oh my gosh! Number one is scary.
It was bad, but not scarring. But I can see how it would be scarring
I can't watch the rest of this because its that scary...I got to the 'I know you suck it part'...*shudders*
I agreed
I know but worst characters is also scary
Cloudtail 12 I luv your profile pic! Warriors cats is the best!
I didn't even know Shrek 4D existed, and i think im not the only one
It's actually just a ride at Universal Studios in Orlando.
Nah, I remember Shrek 4
You can find it on Netflix but under a different name.
It's a just bad all together ride at universal. Luckily they saved it with the Harry Potter Ride. (My fav!)
Trust me, you're not. What has happened to Dreamworks Animations, lately?!
9:08 I’m Done F- Movie See Me After Class -Phantom Strider 2016
how was "drawn together: the movie" a sequel? I have so many questions????????
It takes place after the tv show got the boot
They ruined everything special the show had...
Yeah, as bad as that thing looks, I have to agree here. Draw Together's movie shouldn't really be here, simply because it wasn't a sequel to another movie. It belongs on "the worst movies based on series ever" instead.
It was a sequel to the series being canceled
He never said it had to be a sequel to a film
can land before time just die already???!!! 😣
ikr its starting to get annoying😒
Tania Reyna if they make a 16th let's make it where all the asteroids hit earth and they become extinct! YAY!
How do they keep making money ?!
ever heard of sub bots ? cash bots. lol jk but that's the only logical answer
I still like it...
Minions didn't make the list? Come on now.
Retro Plus To me it was, but you clearly enjoyed it.
minions is actually pretty good, other than the terrible banana jokes
Retro Plus I loved the first two Despicable Me's. I wanted to like it, but to me, yes it deserved to at least be mentioned on this list.
Minions was a Spin-Off, not a sequel.
Minions wasn't a sequel.
Wow these are bad! And that's coming from someone who actual enjoyed Teen Titans Go!
Why do you like Teen Titans Go? Just curious.
Chase Williamson (I mean Christensen).
And me.
More like team titans go take a shit
@@zeusdoesstuff or teen titans go to hell
That guy on rugrats sounded like a sheep at 11:06 - 11:07
Jack Adams XDD
First of all, that wasn't a Rugrats character, though the two shows were created by the same people, understandable mistake. Second of all, strangely, Nigel seems to be the Homer of this show.
I think Nigel gets amnesia and thinks he's animals??
He's actually a character from The Wild Thornberries.
Nigel but he's not from Rugrats tho
FINALLY SOMEONE HAS THE SAME FEELING ABOUT HOODWINKED 2 THAT I DO
Also hunchback of notredame 2 was a disappointment to me
+Sly Crafter I wonder why they made a sequal to it XD
the first ones animation was bad but it had ( in my humble opinion) a really good mystery plot, the second movie decided it wanted to be a buddy cop movie, forced to characters together and said wait we really need to cash in on this food fight movie people are talking about
The movie sucked and the animation is bad but I agree the first has a good plot
you kidding? that movie received negative reviews and was a financial flop. everyone hates that shit "movie".
5:06 this is literally for a ride at universal studios
Great video! Thanks for always being so polite and considerate. It’s so refreshing to find a well-mannered UA-camr! I think you did miss a huge one on my list of “Worst Animated Sequels”- Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Look it up, I think it’s even worse than “Belle’s Magical World”. Basically, Beast starts verbally abusing and neglecting Belle and all his servants because AN EVIL, talking ORGAN (musical instrument) tells him to. That’s it, that’s the movie.
I heard the Labyrinth Zone music, and had flashbacks of those BS underwater levels and throwing my remote in pure rage.
See me after class goddammit!
Where was that from?
I know, It's from the 4th Swan! :P
Finally someone likes the cloudy with a chance of meatballs series.
The voice actress for ducky was brutally kill by her father 😞😞😞😞
she was 10
@@cheeselesscheese2871 i know it's so sad
Oh no
that's fucked up
Oof thats sad and horrible at the same time
I love how innocent strider is he knows how other people have different opinions and I give respect for that
Can you do top ten worst teen titans go episodes?
All of them
I'm gonna get so much fucking hate but... I kinda like TTG
You only need a top 1 for the worst TTG episodes.
#1: All of them.
I would LOVE that
Not that I hate it. I personally watch it to keep my imagination and I like the animation, but I do agree that it is pretty bad
No hes not gonna do top ten worst episodes on a series with all the episodes being horrible
Hold on Dreamworks gave us how to train your dragon!
The gave us TOOHLESS!!
When I steal my mums Nutella: “ILL NEVER APPPPOOOOLLLLOOOOGGGGGIIIIZZZZEEEE”
so glad I never heard of the secret of nimh 2
When you are in school but Strider uploads
My bad >_< I'll upload at 5pm after school next time.
Love the video Phantom!
I haven't even watched the video yet
Also, I know you must get annoyed by video requests, but can you do top 10 disney shows?
I haven't seen any truly good lists on YT yet, and it would complete your Top 10 Best/Worst 6-pack of videos
Thanks Darkmuffin. And yeah :) I may end up just doing it on livestrider as it doesn't get requested as much as others but I'll definitely do best disney soon

What is this beautifully cursed looking furry cartoon?
I'm legitimately interested.
Looked like "A Fox's Tale" based off the words in the background.
And it looks worse than the movies actually on the list.
I was also a huge fan of Rugrats, so to see them having a crossover was enough to make me start frothing at the mouth in excitement.
i did hate the songs though, Angelica singing was a cheese grater to the ear, even as a kid.
+Parker Valverde I loved thee movie as well. But thar’s one part in thee movie that made me cringe like a b**ch
I adore Rugrats Go Wild! Incredibly fun.
Her name's Debbie, and while I liked that song, I personally wasn't a fan of the Angelica/Debbie scenes. And frankly, I blame Satanica!
Invadar FNW lol to each there own. But yea the song was amazing.
Yeah I liked that movie too, I loved how they got Bruce Willis to play Spike and how Chuckie and Donnie switched clothes XD
+StephySon and Chrissie Hynde voicing the Jaguar in a duet with Bruce Willis voicing Spike.
***** Oh I loved that part hehe
Why Rugrats go Wild? I liked it.
ikr
It's his silly personal opinion he says it in the beginning
Me too
J
Why?! I LOVE Rugrats Go Wild!
Fun fact about Tentacolino
Is not only Italian, but is a collaboration with North Korean Studio Studio Sek
That produced... Adrian La Serie Evento, a series that here in Italy is legendary for his bad animations
odd question, I know you live in Australia so did you see Shrek 4D at Movieworld?
I saw the separately released movie, though in retrospect I probably would've enjoyed the ride alot more lol
I think that was on a DVD, FYI this movie came before Sherk 2.
+PhantomStrider sup dude great vid
u forgot Mulan 2
Gadiel Gonzalez Does Mulan 2 even exist?
It exists. It wasn't _horrible_ ,it was just generic.
Mobcraft101 I found it pretty insulting to the original- not The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 level of insulting, but pretty insulting. And dumb. Really, really, dumb.
I agree, it was dumb. The reason I didn't find it horrible was because I was able to tolerate it, but it's pretty darn bad compared the original.
Banano the Dreamflier yes sadly
My list
10: Mulan 2
9: 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure
8: Hoodwinked 2
7: Hunchback of Notre Dame 2
6: Secret of the Nihm 2
5: Shrek 4ever after
4: Shrek 4D
3: Cinderella 2
2: Every Land Before time squeal
1: Every Scooby Doo movie after Scooby Doo on Zombie island
Good list! While I agree, we are both alone on our number 1 choice methinks
+PhantomStrider Haha yeah, I could come up with more, but I didn't wanna torture myself
Nah, Land Before Time 2,3 and 5 were great movies. 4 and anything beyond 5 were pretty bad. 5 was probably the best of the sequels.
+Kodan882 I thought they were lame
Aw I love Mulan 2 😭😭
People forget how groundbreaking THE LAND BEFORE TIME was in the late 1980s, at least in terms of its subject matter. There had never been an animated film with dinosaurs as the protagonists before, and this was before all the JURASSIC PARK sequels (not to mention Barney) had made everyone sick of dinosaurs. I remember loving the animation most of all, because it was cutesy yet also somehow grounded in reality. In fact, I'd put that animation on the same level as that of ALADDIN or THE LION KING.
Same
not so fun fact the girl who played ducky in the land before times dad killed her
yeah he should've look that up before the voice actor change
Kendric Coley who should have looked hi up
Phantom
He also forgot that it was a KID. A TINY LITTLE 5 YEAR OLD KID. People would think you're talking about a young woman who got killed by her dad, when really a LITTLE GIRL GOT KILLED.
It can't get worse than this.
That only applies to the first film.
He was more making a joke about how the voice actor kept changing with each sequel.
Wasn't Shrek 4D a ride at Universal Studios?
Yes indeed. Released as a separate movie as well though. I really should've mentioned that in retrospect lol
PhantomStrider Yeah, I was just confused at that part ^^;
I mean...I get that it's not exactly plot heavy, but it WAS meant to just be a little ride/show at a theme park that was just meant to waste about 30 minutes of your free time while waiting for the roller coaster's lines to speed up.
13:48 they remind me of Bratz a bit.
Some good animated sequels:
Despicable Me 2
Toy story 3
Shrek 2
HTTYD 2
Kung Fu Panda 2
While I agree that the Drawn Together movie is horrendous, it is not a sequel, but rather a continuation of the TV series (which I already hated). A better No.1 would be something like Cars 2 or some additional direct-to-video Disney sequel.
I actually enjoyed Rugrats Go Wild. The part where Donny wears Chucky's outfit and goes crazy is legitimately funny.
Strider posted! Well I guess I don't need school.
Off to school with ya Kyler :) But thanks for your support!
I'm watching this in school
ya
This video is the reason Shrek 4D was my first ride when I went to Universal Studios
You're not wrong about the Drawn Together movie... what a wretched film...
Shrek 4D is a gimmick ride in universal Studios. Of course it's going to be filled with "bad" 3D and weak jokes and catchphrases. It's meant to entertain young kids and their parents who just want a fun ride with characters they recognize.
So it's not an actual sequel. You're not suppose to watch it on its own. It's a ride.
You'd be surprised to find out that it was released as a DVD by itself.
a sequel is meant to continue a movie's story.shrek 4D did
Why isn't Cars 2 on this list?
it wasn't even nearly as bad as these others
Yeah Cars 2 isn't really good but it isn't horrible by any means. At least when compared to these movies, it could be in a top 20 list, though, that's for sure! Haha
Trust me, when you've seen enough bad movies, you begin to realize that movies like Cars 2 aren't actually all that bad.
I'm willing to bet that Cars 2, like Atlantis The Lost Empire, is one of Disney's more debatable movies.
Cause Cars 1 is equally as bad.
3:37 I hope someone animates at least a small part of this
I actually loved Rugrats Go Wild but hey, it's your opinion :)
As as for Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, the villain looked like a drag queen in my opinion. .-.
I did too, but I think it's just my nostalgia for it...
I know. It made me sad when I saw it that low on the list :(
Yeah, it IS his opinion...
...a BRITISH opinion. ;p
Australian opinion
13:12 - Yeesh. You weren't exaggerating... it actually took me a second to realize you'd switched the visuals to a different movie.
Yeah
15:59 did I just see a fucking dog firing a laser gun?
yup.
A dog that learned how to talk in-between movies.
Yes
Me:*sees thumbnail*
Me:me like creepy
Me*clicks on vid*
Is minions a sequel? Because I absolutely hate it.
More look like a spin-off, and i loved the movie -.-
+Star Blood The WolfDragon It's actually a prequel.
Oh
Gemma Lemma Emma I like Despicable Me and the minions are good in that series but they didn't deserve their own movie
Gemma Lemma Emma I Agree
14:45 Now that's one of your greatest Italian accent ever PhantomStrider. Keep it up.
The only good thing about Happily Never After 2?
...
HOLLA GIRL
I find it odd how Drawn Together: The Movie elects to parody South Park, a show that has already done all that shit except actually good. (Well, most of the time)
Drawn Togheter looks and sounds better.
Cloudy 2 was awesome.
I perfer the first one better.
i didn't hate it but i still prefer the original but i still somewhat enjoyed the sequel......... somewhat
I liked it too.
Jokes don't have to be wholesome, hell animated movies in general don't need to be wholesome for them to be good.
and it probably just flew over kids heads anyways, usually when movies make jokes like that its for the adults who might be watching
Demo Ham Exactly
Yeah when that scene happened I genuinely thought that was a pretty amusing joke. Like you said, I'm sure it's not meant to be serious.
Rugrats Go Wild crossed a line for me. it was so bad, so cringe-worthy, that it became funny. it's amazing how all the ideas they had for that movie would be executed so poorly and with no care
I thought it was meh, but I wasn't even a fetus for the first 5 years of Rutgrats' original run so...
I don't even remember that movie, if I ever saw it.
But the theme of it and the way they all acted was perfect for me ^^
Why did you censor The Sword when the Dwer Pulls it Out of It's Sheath in #10?
He didn’t censor it, he showed a picture of Dewey from DuckTales, because the character said “do-ee.”
@@therealCrazyJake Shit's Not Called Dewey in Germany.Over Here they're Called Tick,Trick&Track.
