Just downloaded this after watching your video. After rebooting and setting run as admin, there are several other selections to wade through on startup. The firewall access, I just allowed access on Private network. The next is that you can select from several other applications such as PhotoShop, etc. and it will give you some default settings. The BIG gotcha is that you have to purchase the Pro version to import plug-ins. So you need to install it on your android/ios device to continue. THis might trip up some folks trying to follow along in the video.

Upside with StreamDeck is the two-way so I can have not just buttons but also gauges. also personally prefer the separate buttons. But a cheap alternative.

I have a small question: how to change the state of the Connect button (like the example of the battery in your video) which would allow you to know if you are well connected at a glance. I can't find the right variable. thank you for your reply
What would be great is a way to illuminate the blue visual cue around a command with a simple TouchPortal button. That way, I could play the instructor and tell a friend using a VR headset "Turn the battery on", click on a button in TouchPortal, and the visual cue around the battery switch would illuminate in the headset.
Is it possible to control throttle with the slider in touch portal for MSFS 2020?
So will this effectively allow me to control autopilot, and more specifically the ALT, HDG etc? I prefer just to be “in” the sim, but adjusting things like ALT can be frustrating with head/eye tracking
I’m thinking one page per plane, so it could be customized for the specific plane you are flying. Is the 100 button limit per page or overall?

This looks great and i tried it. I just could not get it to work. I got to the point where i added the battery button and it worked, but i could never get the imported page to display on the IPAD.

Great video. I was a little unsure how and where all the files go, but after watching your video 3 times I think I got it for the most part. The problem I ran into is that I made the battery icon and had it all set up in the Flight folder Problem is that when I tried to use the flight button nothing happened. It wouldn’t go to the page with the battery button on it. I selected Connect a few times still nothing. I also checked and made sure my iPad was connected which it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hey Mike, I remember messing with this when it first came out. Seems to come a long way!. The set of buttons you downloaded, and are in the video. Will This set of buttons work with all planes, including pay ware planes? Is it kind off generic? Thanks, cool video...I don't know where you find the time...lol

I've used Touch Portal for many applications in the past, but I've never considered using it for MSFS. After watching this video, I am convinced that it offers almost endless possibilities for controlling MSFS. But I'm wondering: at the beginning of the video you explained how to integrate NeoFly and SPAD into Touch Portal. In the further course you didn't go into the two apps anymore. Do I need this to integrate Touch Portal with MSFS? If yes, in particular: why do I still need SPAD when I can have all the necessary functions via the Touch Portal plugin?
I have been messing with this for days. I have everything set up like your tutorial. I didn't create my own buttons. I used some of the templates , that others made ,for my pages. My iPad says its connected. The buttons that I made are on my iPad, but when i push one of the buttons on the iPad, nothing happens, no windows pop up, but it says iPad is connected. What the hell did i miss...its driving me to drink
You have to purchase the pro version, when I try to add the MSFS plugin.

Hi. I bought it 1 year Ago. I never got it Running good. Never a answer of the support. For me Personal a Bad experiance. Insted i boughtq the Stream deck xl and use it without any Problem
36:45 "When Button state changes to:" - You get a drop down with loads of options. I only get On or Off in the drop down. Any ideas? Everything else has worked so far per your great tutorial but I am stuck on this part. Thanks.

did not work for me followed you to the letter. can not get it to turn on batt. he only thing i see that might be stopping me is i cant turn on incoming on the firewall. looks like i m going to try to get my money back in the next few days.
The two way connection is likely required so that could be the problem. :(

I gave up trying to get the landscape version of FltSim to work, I would call it up from my iPad and it just freezes Touch portal on the PC and iPad. Oddly the portrait version works, guess I’m going to need to spend some time trying to re-arrange that one.
I have the same problem. It keeps freezing when i tap on the button to open the actual page Flt Sim 2020 Landscape. All other buttons work just fine

Hello, great VBideo :), I have one more question, I can call up all the pages via the panel, only this one not "FltSim-msfs2020-Control" The app hangs in the >iPad and only a remnant of the desktop app revives it. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what helps?

@@wizznet86 It is the background image on those pages which causes problems on iDevices in particular. There are new backgrounds on the plugin's site (GitHub repository), or just remove/replace the background image with something else.

In the amount of time it takes to set that up, I could have built a real plane. Okay, 189 man hours to build a Kitfox Lite.

2nd try... I'm the author of this plugin. I get to provide support for it also.
The "SltSim 2020 v1.2.1" page referenced in this video and details has an issue which causes it to NOT WORK on iPad and iPhone devices.
Users have a bad initial experience because all they see is a "loading" icon on their devices.
Please read the plugin's README for more details and a fix.
BTW, contributions of all kinds are more than welcome. This is a free open source project.

You have said in the past that you don't care for software that takes away from the immersion of being in an aircraft. This software does just that. Since I have to click buttons anyway, I would rather use the cockpit switches as it is more realistic and the best way to learn how to operate. I can see the many uses this software has for other non-fsim programs, but for simulators, I have a greater appreciation for hardware and cockpit visuals to control the many systems rather than take a shortcut and use software that doesn't exist in a real aircraft. Just my two cents.
Last time I flew IRL I didn't use a mouse to operate the controls. Personally I find that a bigger break of immersion than having something like this, especially if it is set up to mimic the layout of the controls in the plane I'm flying.
More immersive than using a mouse.
LOL. It took until about 20 minutes into this video when it occurred to me that I was being punked. This has to be a joke. Who would go through all this nonsense to install this application.
