There is a clear reason why the number of aerial victories by ace pilots in Japan and Germany is so high. It is because the war situation was deteriorating and such outstandingly skilled pilots had to stay on the front lines instead of training new recruits. As a result, many veteran pilots with extensive battle experience died and inexperienced pilots were not well trained. The reason why the more defeated countries have more outstanding ace pilots is because they were overworked on the front line until they died. (Although no pilot would have wanted to leave his comrades and new recruits behind and return home when the situation was getting worse.)
