Eric Carr played the triples on the kicks first, for DetroitRock City.. Changing it from the Peter Criss shuffle to the triplets on the double kicks. Sounds awesome on the 1980 Sydney concert. Eric Singer followed what Eric Carr already played..just adding his style to it. I love the Creatures Of The Night intro on the Anamalize tour the best. Great video man...and your rack toms really project beautifully.
I would like to know did Eric Carr add or played differently in songs that originaly was played by Peter Criss? Did Eric Carr add any double bass for Criss's era songs? (Since Criss played single bass drum and Carr played with two)
Eric Carr was a superb drummer. Technical and tight in his playing. He brought a whole new sound to the band. Unfortunately, he probably never got to show his full potential. His huge drum set is big enough for most people even today. 41 years old is way too early to die...
Yeah, agreed. Eric was brilliant on the drums and as a person and I feel if he was an equal part of KISS he could have shown his creativity and songwriting a lot more. His drum kit probably inspired thousands of people to start playing drums. 41 is so young to die, imagine what he could have done musically if he lived into his 70's
