These two pistols are the ones that I've narrowed my search to, recoil, and ease of racking are the two distinguishing factors in my situation.
Had ours for 2 years now. Wife & I can alternate with other sidearms with this Grand Power baby. Balance is nice and aim placements are accurate. Kinda tricky doing the breakdown for cleaning but overall a fine addition to our range bag.

have a friend who only shoots steel case through a Walther pk380 he has, and man is that thing an awesome shooter. Although its no CP380 and im a huge fan of Bersa, that Walther can eat steel case like an AK. It makes me wander if this would be a good steel cased only shooter?
I bought one. Mine has no decocker, the safety only engages when halfcocked, but otherwise is going to be my ccw. Too hot to range test for now where I live (104-110° all week), but I plan to make a video on it, since there are only like 3. Thanks again.
It's heavier than the glock 42 and the bersa bpcc, but capacity is double the glock and 4 more than the bersa. How do you feel about the grand power as an EDC? I'm juggling the three 🤔

Can't use the 9mm magazines, as the shorter 380 ammunition will cause misfeeds. The proper 15 round LP380 magazines are available at Global Ordnance. They are 9mm mags with a welded in spacer in the rear and use a different follower. Mine work flawless.

Why did you both do the first shot in SA?? The da/sa trigger in any gun is intended to pull in double action every first time. If you dont do so, you are testing only half way any pistol with that kind of action. (unless you suck at double action shooting)
@@GBGuns Yes, i know. But when you carry a da/sa gun and you need to take a shot, you don't pull the hammer back to do the first one at single action. Sometimes i carry a ppks and i had to do that first shot twice double action at real situations. Of course you can review your guns anyway you want, but that way is unrealistic. Check out Lucky gunner and Military Arms Channel as examples. Pd. I live in Gto México, and here bad guys is everyday problem.

I got a flesh wound in my foot, but they got some too. Also i have a g19 g4 with piramyd trigger, and night sights, shield 9mm laser sight, and lc380 apex trigger laser sight. The ppks is all stock. I like guns, and all of this is just my opinion. Your point is truly valid. Thanks.
People have been saying for years that a 380 is not a defensive round. Same for the 22lr. Question? Can and have the following items kill people. Knives with 3 inch blades or longer, screwdrivers, ice picks. The answer is yes to all. A 22lr penetrates much deeper in to the body than any of those items, creates a longer wound Chanel than any of them and can definitely kill people since poachers kill deer with 22lr and other medium size game. Would any of the people who say the 380 or 22lr are not defensive rounds want to be shot with either of those rounds? I think not, no one in their right minds would. Any round that produces a wound deep enough to cause bleed out is a good round. Some rounds like the 25acp may not have enough umf behind them to penetrate well enough, but about anything that makes a hole is better than having nothing at all. For years people have been saying that no one wants a mid size 380. I have argued that, there are many women and older men that can’t shoot even 9mm accurately, but have been told only wimps shoot 380s or less, which is a macho BS thing to tell any one. I knew if a mid frame 380 were made available it would sell well. The Glock 42 was proof of that. Stores could not keep them on the shelves and glock could not make them fast enough. Something in the size of a glock 19 with a comparable capacity would sell the same way. The Grand Power CP380 is a start, now that they are here in the states people will and are buying them as fast as they arrive at the suppliers, once the market sees the true demand for these mid frame 380 pistols I am hoping to see the GP-P380 become available here as well. The CP is 12+1 and that is fine if there is nothing better, but the P is 15+1 like the G19 and the P I think is closer to the 19s size. As for people thinking that GP is a unknown brand and how can it be so good, just stop and think about the HS2000...................... Exactly. Most people have no idea what the HS2000 is but almost everyone involved with firearms knows the Springfield XD. Springfield recognized the value of the HS2000 and contracted with them to produce the XD under Springfields name, the rest is history. GP is probably the same, a unknown in this country but not in the world. Going back to the 380, there are countries where the public and police are only allowed access to 380 or less. And citizens and police there competently and routinely defend themselves with these rounds on a daily basis. So don’t let pompous turds tell you smaller rounds aren’t effective. This video is correct that this is a good gun and round. I hope more people buy more mid frame 380s so we can start getting the P380 in stock, that’s the one I personally want, but the CP380 will do until it does come in.

The CP380 is EXACTLY the same size & weight as the 9mm P11. So, IMO, the gun is too heavy for a .380. Erika, try harder next time.

The CP380 absorbs recoil a lot better than the Beretta. I’ve owned both and prefer the CP380 without question.

I just saw that the LP is almost 8 inches. So that would take that one out of carry and just be a range gun.

Thought of getting one of these. How does the quality of Grand Power compare to a brand like Glock?

Do you know if the CP380 shares a frame with the P11? The specs look the same on paper, but I haven't been able to compare the two side by side.
They are identical. I traced my traction grips for the P11 Mk 12 outline onto friction paper, cut it out and put it on my CP 380 without alteration.
The more I look at this handgun the more I want it ...

I review guns as I would carry them. The P11 is one of my carry guns and has the option of decked or cocked and locked. I carry cocked and locked.
