Actually, Dimash current vocal range including growl and whistle tone is 7 octaves and 3 semi tones. This is,what he let us to hear so fare. This range we can hear in to his performances. Dimash by himself never says,how big his range is. He is only saying, that range not important, important is how you interpret the song. If the song can reach the heart of listener's,it's good,but if the song reach listeners soul,it's very good. Ruta, don't go crazy, because this will make you and Dimash a little funny. Dimash has a range of 6 octaves + 5 tones - from F1 to D8 (6 octaves + 5 tones). At the same time: F1, G1, A1, B1 are in fact spoken growl sounds. Actual singing starts at Dimash's E2 (beginning "Love is like a dreade"), he sings with coloratura until F6 (ending "Ogni Pietra"). His E7, F7, G7, C8, D8 are whistles. So he practically SINGS from E2 to F6, which is 4 full octaves. And that's fantastic!

@@k.vn.k I am not debating but I find that Ruta exaggerated with those 7 octaves and 3 tones (because that would be exactly the number of all white keys in a piano, starting with the first incomplete octave only with the AB note). Moreover, both the growl itself (which can be said to be the lowest variation of the vocal fry) and the whistle can be described as sound effects used in singing. In addition, any person with good (healthy) vocal chords can learn (or generate) a growl. You can't sing in coloratura a growl and a whistle (these are the distinguishing features of these sounds), that's not what these effects are about. Dimash sings freely in 4 octaves in coloratura, and also freely uses various vocal effects (growl, whistle). Personally, I don't like Dimasha's growl ("ascolta la voce"), I don't think it's good (pretty). That's something I think he still has to work on.

Willkommen in Dimash's Welt! Ich hab ihn letztes Jahr entdeckt und bin seitdem ein großer Fan. Ich weiß noch es war eine schwere Phase in meinem Leben, mein Vater war zu der Zeit schwer krank, da entdeckte ich die Stimme von Dimash und konnte wochenlang nichts anderes hören, seine Musik lief bei mir quasi Tag und Nacht. Hier hatte ich etwas entdeckt das so rein und edel ist, seine Stimme kann einem Menschen wieder Kraft geben. Dimash ist ein Künstler und Menschenfreund von riesigem Format! Eine Ausnahme Erscheinung in der Musiklandschaft ähnlich einem Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson oder Freddie Mercury, auf seine ganz besondere Weise natürlich .. Er hat in den letzten Jahren sehr viele hervorragende Lieder performt und herausgebracht, eine fantastische Entdeckungsreise steht Dir bevor! Der junge Mann ist heute schon eine lebende Legende!
Mir erging es ähnlich. Nach dem Tod meines geliebten Mannes kam ich einfach nicht mehr aus meiner Trauer. Ich habe Dimash zufällige im März entdeckt. Ich habe wieder Lebensmut, Lebensfreude. Er singt in den Himmel und wieder zurück und bringt jedesmal ein Stück Liebe meines Mannes zu mir. Ich kann mir keinen Tag mehr ohne Dimash vorstellen.

In Deutschland ist das eher eine Frage des Urheberrechts, warum sich Deutsche nicht trauen auf Musik zu reagieren. Well first of all,thank you for the sincere reaction and Dimash it is getting better and better and it is well known in Eastern Europe and China where it impacted his career but he is working on to be famous also here in West,there is no doubt about that..You should react more of his songs and will understand how golden singer he is..
Dimash was discovered to have prefect pitch at the age of 4 he was at age 5 enrolled in a concentrated voice / piano music program at a local music school run by the local state university. He graduated High School with a degree in Classical Music. He completed his first degree at a Music University in Contemporary Music. He has a Master's Degree in arranging music. He started his Doctorate with the subject of Composing. His singing took over his life as he was trying to advance to his Doctorate with a singing competition in China (I AM Singer). 2017 was mostly this TV program. He performed in 13 of the 14 episodes - he sat out the 11th with the other two performers that were the top three at the end of the first 10 episodes. He finished second. He was 23 when that competition finished. Dimash sings in 13 languages (he added Mandarin in 2017). He plays the piano and was offered positions as a pianist and cast member in an Opera company. He took neither of the positions. His dream is popular music with classical elements . He has performed all over the world in single performer concerts - usually at wild sold out events. The Virus has slowed much of what he was planning for this last year down. A performance that puts his wide range on display is Ogni Pietra (Olympico). Dimash sang this song for the first round of the Chinese show I am a singer in 2017. He chose this song, because it would show what he can do with his voice, but in the meantime the vocal acrobatics also fit the meaning of the lyrics. Next day the video went viral in China. You could follow him on the journey of this show, or else do some of his Russian songs, sone of which he did in cooperation with composer and pianist Igor Krutoy who came back from early retirement to work with Dimash. Dimash has great genes, long and multi level training, but he has always worked very very hard! He is continuing with his PhD. Not only that he is one of the kindest,most humble guys out there. I’ve watched him grow from 2017 and his Singer 2017 appearances to his more mature self today! Love him so much!

I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his viewers worldwide especially the young will learned from his optimistic views in pursuing his professional fields to the optimum level especially his confidence, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music. The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concerns whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
SONG OF DIMASH IN FRENCH “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song (Ref CCC): I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG : The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” means in a sad lyrics says … “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth” as Saint Paul reminded us that “our present sufferings are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Need to combine at least four GREAT singers to sing CLOSEST to Dimash. Dimash sang here a guest...not a competitor. He won this competition a few years ago. He was 23 years old here. Currently he's 26 years old and he has gone on selling many sold out concerts in various countries including New York, China, Russia, London and in Eastern Europe countries. His Hamburg concert was sold out in advance but unfortunately he had to cancel them due to current pandemic. His Germany concert has been postponed to next March.

Actually, Dimash current vocal range including growl and whistle tone is 7 octaves and 3 semi tones. This is,what he let us to hear so fare. This range we can hear in to his performances. Dimash by himself never says,how big his range is. He is only saying, that range not important, important is how you interpret the song. If the song can reach the heart of listener's,it's good,but if the song reach listeners soul,it's very good.

Ruta, don't go crazy, because this will make you and Dimash a little funny. Dimash has a range of 6 octaves + 5 tones - from F1 to D8 (6 octaves + 5 tones). At the same time: F1, G1, A1, B1 are in fact spoken growl sounds. Actual singing starts at Dimash's E2 (beginning "Love is like a dreade"), he sings with coloratura until F6 (ending "Ogni Pietra"). His E7, F7, G7, C8, D8 are whistles. So he practically SINGS from E2 to F6, which is 4 full octaves. And that's fantastic!

I am not debating but I find that Ruta exaggerated with those 7 octaves and 3 tones (because that would be exactly the number of all white keys in a piano, starting with the first incomplete octave only with the AB note). Moreover, both the growl itself (which can be said to be the lowest variation of the vocal fry) and the whistle can be described as sound effects used in singing. In addition, any person with good (healthy) vocal chords can learn (or generate) a growl. You can't sing in coloratura a growl and a whistle (these are the distinguishing features of these sounds),
that's not what these effects are about. Dimash sings freely in 4 octaves in coloratura, and also freely uses various vocal effects (growl, whistle). Personally, I don't like Dimasha's growl ("ascolta la voce"), I don't think it's good (pretty). That's something I think he still has to work on.

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' in Kazak and also a bit in Chines. He wrote this song when he was aboute 17-19 years old. Also when they anoushed Terry in this show they told everyone he found his long lost son Dimash!!! Later Dimash and Terry are singing this in conserts toghether. WOW they are good.They are invitinng eatchouther to there conserts.
Episode 11 : (did not participate) He was alredy in the final so he and the outher 2 was watching in the audiens. When Terry was anonused they asked if Dimash would like to say something about his papa Lin!!! So mutch fun. Also some of the outher contestents really put a show to show they also could go high notes. So mutch fun show!!!
Episode 12 : 'Confessa & The Diva Dance Confessa in Italien and the Diva dance is from the movie fifth elementh and was done in the computer becouse it was to hard for a human to sing!!!! Well thats before Dimash showed up!!!! hihiih This also is videos of him doing in his showes. I cant remember now witch the most likes to react to. But I bett there are someone that can tell you. Becouse that one he did in kinda the end of the show!! His showes are aboute 2,5-3 houers long!! That makes that version even moore expressiv becouse of how mutch power it taces to do it. It's a slightley outher versin than the singer version.
Episode 13 : 'Tribute to MJ' In English. He loves MJ and also playing drums here!! A children choire also in this and a singer partner that really can hold up with him.
Episode 14 Gala: 'Give Me Love' In kazakh. This is the last show this year and not really in the contest but a gala with them getting in 3 groupes that kinda compete in witch gott the most money for the environment.
Dimash also got to meat Han Hong that wrote "Daybreak". They ended up in the same groupe. She saide that Dimash was her secound adopted son!!! Dimash smiled. Then someone els saide that Terry was his father!!! Dimash smiled couldent been bigger. So it endedd up beeing a familey meating and photo op!!! So mutch touthing moments between them 3 during the last bit of that show when they gett on stage. Just love them.
The hole competiten was so nice and welcoming with lots of care and love beetween them al. In The singer 2018 of the gala show he also was there singing Hello (Lionel Richie)! In english and boy what good version this was. Even the contestents that new him was thinking he did really good.
Dimash is calling his fans "Dears" becouse he think of us as familey he loves a lot! He also is so verry nice and considerat. A bit shy behind it al to. So respectfull to everyone!! Verry respecfull to olders and children.
One moore thing...DO NOT do any reactions to the CBS' "The World's Best" show. In a nice way putting it...they did a real bad moments of Dimash and yelld at him . He asked before sighning if he would have to compete with children and they told him no! He really wouldent compete with them. That was whant happende. The contestent dident know who was competing in the beggining. 1 Of the children wasa young girl from his home countrey that he supporting and loving a lot. Also they cut upp the songs to nothingness for the audiense at home!!! At the last song before he was gonna sing he asked to speak to the judges! He saide that he wonted them to lett the 2 children go forward and for him to stepp out! They startes to bassing him and told him he knew what he was going in to and also dident respect the show!!! And he did this out of EGO!!!
Dimash was sad and hurting and gess what he did?? He told them camlyand considerut he was happy he hade the oppertunity to sing ther for them and that it wasent his ego or something like that!! Mir erging es ähnlich. Nach dem Tod meines geliebten Mannes kam ich einfach nicht mehr aus meiner Trauer. Ich habe Dimash zufällige im März entdeckt. Ich habe wieder Lebensmut, Lebensfreude. Er singt in den Himmel und wieder zurück und bringt jedesmal ein Stück Liebe meines Mannes zu mir. Ich kann mir keinen Tag mehr ohne Dimash vorstellen.

Dimash was discovered to have prefect pitch at the age of 4 he was at age 5 enrolled in a concentrated voice / piano music program at a local music school run by the local state university. He graduated High School with a degree in Classical Music. He completed his first degree at a Music University in Contemporary Music. He has a Master's Degree in arranging music. He started his Doctorate with the subject of Composing. His singing took over his life as he was trying to advance to his Doctorate with a singing competition in China (I AM Singer). 2017 was mostly this TV program. He performed in 13 of the 14 episodes - he sat out the 11th with the other two performers that were the top three at the end of the first 10 episodes. He finished second. He was 23 when that competition finished. Dimash sings in 13 languages (he added Mandarin in 2017). He plays the piano and was offered positions as a pianist and cast member in an Opera company. He took neither of the positions. His dream is popular music with classical elements . He has performed all over the world in single performer concerts - usually at wild sold out events. The Virus has slowed much of what he was planning for this last year down. A performance that puts his wide range on display is Ogni Pietra (Olympico). Dimash sang this song for the first round of the Chinese show I am a singer in 2017. He chose this song, because it would show what he can do with his voice, but in the meantime the vocal acrobatics also fit the meaning of the lyrics. Next day the video went viral in China. You could follow him on the journey of this show, or else do some of his Russian songs, sone of which he did in cooperation with composer and pianist Igor Krutoy who came back from early retirement to work with Dimash. Dimash has great genes, long and multi level training, but he has always worked very very hard! He is continuing with his PhD. Not only that he is one of the kindest,most humble guys out there. I’ve watched him grow from 2017 and his Singer 2017 appearances to his more mature self today! Love him so much!

I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his viewers worldwide especially the young will learned from his optimistic views in pursuing his professional fields to the optimum level especially his confidence, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible.
My other concerns whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.

The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
SONG OF DIMASH IN FRENCH “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song (Ref CCC): I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG : The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” means in a sad lyrics says … “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute.
Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith.
For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God.
Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality.
Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life, if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we died reconciled with God and at peace with others.
Death is the end of our earthly life. Since it is unknown to all of us, the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. Need to combine at least four GREAT singers to sing CLOSEST to Dimash. Dimash sang here a guest...not a competitor. He won this competition a few years ago. He was 23 years old here. Currently he's 26 years old and he has gone on selling many sold out concerts in various countries including New York, China, Russia, London and in Eastern Europe countries. His Hamburg concert was sold out in advance but unfortunately he had to cancel them due to current pandemic. His Germany concert has been postponed to next March.
