Great wage for me considering the cost of living here. So for New Yorkers that's probably necessary. If McDonald's workers got paid $75/hour, then I would be charging my clients $250/hour. Since I have a master's degree, and I had to work unbelievably hard for three years after that to get the hours and supervision I needed to become a fully licensed therapist, I'm definitely not going to settle for being paid the same as someone working at McDonald's! I'm a student and I worked at a gym for a while. I basically just had to open and close the place, sit at the reception and do really basic stuff like selling protein shakes, answer questions, the telephone etc. I would sit there for sometimes 9 hours and honestly thought I get paid too much for what I was actually doing (minimum wage is almost 10 euros in Germany). With a 75 dollar minimum wage I would have earned 675 dollars for doing a bit more than nothing. Sounds reasonable!

I'm a student and I worked at a gym for a while. I basically just had to open and close the place, sit at the reception and do really basic stuff like selling protein shakes, answer questions, the telephone etc. I would sit there for sometimes 9 hours and honestly thought I get paid too much for what I was actually doing (minimum wage is almost 10 euros in Germany). With a 75 dollar minimum wage I would have earned 675 dollars for doing a bit more than nothing. Sounds reasonable!
