TL-S still looks beautiful all these years later
I’m genuinely surprised that the Acura TL Type S easily won these races even as a comfortable Manual Transmission V6 four door luxury sports sedan. Impressive!
Why are you surprised? Honda has always been good at making its "Type" cars handle well. This was not the base 3.2 TL, it was the Type-S that had brembo brakes, a stiffer suspension, a larger 3.5 engine, a 6spd manual with limited slip differential (required for track cornering, is350 did not have). It would have been surprising if it didn't win.
As a G35S owner few cars give me a run for my money... I had a TL S next to me and I thought "I'll go easy". I should of punched it the whole time. Definitely made me respect the mid 2000s TL S and it's still an attractive solid car.

I agree, my favorite TL of all time. 6spds are awesome, but the automatic transmissions were complete trash, supremely unreliable. I just picked up a 2010 is350 last week and can't wait for the weather to turn, haven't had a quick car since I sold my GSX in 2010!
@@Pube83 if only it were rear wheel drive
basically he is happy with the suspension set up and even it weaker than the other two car but the suspension make up for it, he also said why they don't offer the TL-S over Japan well Honda should.
The FWD TL oversteers like crazy that's awesome.
A front wheel drive car that you can practically drift, nice.
slide*
A drift is initiated after the apex of a turn, a slide is initiated at the apex or just before.
Impressive from the Type S. Such a good car. It deserves the W.
What's even funnier is that the open diff, automatic IS350 beats the manual, LSD g35. What a meme.
love my 08 type s
Assuming you can't handle it. Ironically, it still scored the fastest lap time of the 3 cars...
It is an IS350.

Awesome ! Cuz I have an '07 Type S and that same KBP color too :)
What show is this from? (my gues is, not form best motoring)
My wife has that exact car. 2008 Kenetic blue pearl w/ebony 6mt. Lol
Todd Lee That is so awesome!
Does anyone have a full translated article?
wow!! the drift king used drift in the second corner with the TL :)
Driven all 3. Owned am is350, driven an infiniti and now own a tl type s. I love the comfort of the IS. It's a very well built car but the Honda engine is second to none. Though the 3g tl is in fact fwd, it's an FWD that can keep up with the rest of the rwd pack. The infiniti has a very beautiful sounding exhaust note but it's over rated. Nissan interiors aren't impressive and do not compete with Honda/acura or Lexus. I went with the type s because of the features for the price. It's fully loaded with tech Lexus isn't as good at and it's cheaper. The tl type s in 3rd gear is effing amazing, especially when vtech kicks in. I just don't like the seats. I would love the IS seats in the TL.
+Kon Sol probably safe to say I don't understand what you just said.... English dude
Is the TL type S faster than the is350?
@@uriahanthony414 The fact that you can mod the Type-S safely for much much cheaper, I say yes. I own an 06 is350, not a whole lot of options that are worth to mod. Still an awesome car though!
@@amendes6410 awesome, thanks for the reply.. Wasn't able to come out with either.. Had to settle for 13 Kia optima sx though.. Fun little 4 cylinder turbo.
@@uriahanthony414 Hey no problem with that! I did months of research all types of cars and had a budget, once i found it for the right price I drove 700 miles to pick up my is350, it was worth it. Optimas are great cars for the price and will last a long time with good frequent care! Take your time, youll find a good one
Over-steer is better for turns and basically everything if well controlled... Under-steer is bad in any shape way or form.
skirmich ikr
is under-steer or over-steer better for hammering into turns?
I can say that about them. I bought an 06 TL that makes 260 HP while yours makes 155. Weight to power ratio. I could care less about gas mileage, if I want a nice car I'm willing to pay for it. Not to mention mine was only $17.5.
😮💨
You should change the title. thats not an IS350 its an LS 460. I was excited then i was like wtf no lol
thats a mustang?
Did you see the TL over steer in the first corner
Bitch it has vsa off
@@octosilver8608 as if oversteer is a bad thing
John John The Producer he is a professional driver and knows simple physics about weight balancing and cornering. He was using the front drift around those corners and managed the best lap time of those cars. Please stop speaking about what you don’t know of
You really don't know shit LOL
Hahaha keep Dreaming bud usually "Less than 5 sec to 60" and "Huge MPG" doesn't go hand in hand...
$38k sheesh now it’s only $2k - $4k 🧐
Thepurple 9 Unfortunately, automatic transmission TL’s have a bad habit of not lasting to 100,000 miles 😔
Garbage Honda transmissions. Every TL owner I've talked to had their trans replaced...one was in California at Disneyland! (from Portland Oregon).
@@Pube83 if it’s auto before 2006 yea
@@Pube83 07 and 08 tl transmissions were fixed
Why would you do such a thing. TL > RSX by far. In every single way.
not in gas mileage or amount of transmission issues!
@@lordgriselbrand4600 Way to drag up a nine year old comment 😂 Never had any transmission issues with my TL, but I don’t suck at shifting, so… And back then, gas prices didn’t matter.
Hahah keep dreaming son.
The TL torque steer is crazy and bad for enthusiasts drivers
Honda lovers are always isolated...
Nervous pitching for the TL unstable
I hate front wheel drive
Yo mama
Oversteer is flat out dangerous.
