2:20 anybody thinks Gerudo Valley when listening to this? Anyway, this song is awesome, I love how ABR can pull some variety while staying at the same quality level as their previous albums. Kepp it up, ABR!
I seriously worship god so hard to this music. I love the messages they're sending to hardcore fans. You can still be hardcore and not be god free, even though that's a popular "fad". I'm tatted and gauged and I STILL love god. Believer til death. This gives a new meaning to worshipping god honestly. It makes me feel whole, they're AMAZING.
The best guitar solo ive heard from ABR. They really should play more solos in their songs, but all in all with composure the best song i heard from them.
I love it!! I don't blame em for doing something different. They play the same music night after night. I can't blame em for wanting to expand into other things. I could see their thought process. "Hmmm how do we not do something ABR but stay ABR?" Kill it!!!
guys, you cant expect a band to also produce the same music. its part of every band 2 progress otherwise it gets boring. Personally i think they matured a lot and keep getting better with each album
This is really some of their best work. I like how even though the first sounds like back burner it gives it a classic Messengers feel. Oh, and 1:14 = Some one pass the salsa please.
Probably the first song I really enjoyed by them, still a few generic metalcore feels but the changes into the samba-esque intermissions definitely allow it to feel fresher (to me) than their previous work.
The mixing and mastery on this CD are superb. Listen to the crunch of that bass at 0:17. That sounds fucking heavy as fuck. Whoever recorded this really knew what they were doing.
@AsTheOceanFalls I was never a MASSIVE fan of them, but I can honestly say everything has only progressed with each release from Messengers until now. Are they terribly innovative and unique in my eyes? Not totally.. not counting that awesome zamba break in this song, but they can totally hold their own. This one impressed me.
Holy effin crap. This band is more than just some screamed vocals and a riff. I love the change in sound in the song, very between the buried and me-ish.
i really like the salsa/latin parts. especially the bridgepart right before the epic guitar solo 2:22 . the drumming is superb, too. he is nearly as good as the drumming beast from as blood runs black ;)
I'll disaggree with ya TheRhino dude... This might not be what ABR was, but dude... I don't think anyone can say that august burns red have became less hardcore or anything... they don't play EXACTLY SAME metalcore to every album...They stick to the roots, they create their own epic music... and I like that
None of their songs sound exactly alike. None of their albums sound like the previous. There is no old, and there is no new August Burns Red. Like everyone else, they are growing up, and so should you. There music is evolving for the best. Keep it up!
Musicianship > any specific genre. You guys ever wonder why Dream Theater has so much diversity in their music? It's because they are musicians, not only Metal fans but people who love music that takes skill to play. With the exception of plastic, mass-produced music, hip hop, rap and Mexican banda music, ect, all music is beautifully composed by its writer(s) to be appreciated for its depth and intricacies, you say this sucks? I say its an artist growing...
It bothers me that people are complaining about this song. ABR are one of the few bands out there that have made serious progression with every new album. What do you want to hear? Do you want this to have 6 breakdowns in it like Messengers tracks did? Get the fuck over it, go listen to Messengers if that's what you're into while the rest of us enjoy the progression.
@Iamlegend1234 i agree with waht u say exept one part: they never throw random riff and breakdown. they did mature ( for the best) but their music was never random :D
When I first heard this I like a lot of people was like "wut?" But this has definitely grown on me, I prefer it to Empire actually. Also it reminds me of Meddler, which is my favourite ABR song and I'm glad they are experimenting!
Whats the instrument that starts playing at 1:06 and sounds like "wakku wakkuu ewakku schwakku wakku" (lol sorry thats the best I can explain it). Its kinda hard to hear probably, but if you pay attention you'll hear it.
To be an ABR fan and be disappointed with this is the definition of disgrace. This band has ALWAYS been progressing, I even hear some Between The Buried and Me in here. This is a MASTERPIECE.
I dont see how this is more mainstream. It seems like they are trying to move away from all the typical metalcore that is so popular and are trying to experiment more. Just because a band changes their music around doesnt mean that they are selling out all the time. Bands just want to expand their creativity and try new things. Its really great to see bands do that. And if you dont like it you dont have to listen to it. There are plenty more generic metalcore bands out there to listen to.
Thanks for uploading this! - i like that they are having fun with their music and being creative, that's what being a band should really be about. you guys should check out our music and let us know what yous think! - were from PA as well.
@VintageVoltage01 I agree, this song is really different lol. That little clean section at the end caught me off gaurd didn't expect that out of them. Works really well tho, song kicks ass.
I love how fresh this song is... I love how much this band has evolved...
August Burns Red- Never cease to be different in the genre of metal.
This song is just....so amazing. To those who don't like it, just give it a few listens. I think it'll grow on you
This song is just- I don't think there's a word that exists that describes how amazing this song is.
June 21st is just too long a wait.... im just glad abr has given us two amazing songs to listen to while we wait :D
This song is music to my ears, whoever disagrees may dwell in unhappiness forever...
this is a great example why ABR still remains at the top of my all time favorite bands looks like its gonna be a solid 4 for 4 FEEL IIITTTT!!!!!!!!!!
2:20 anybody thinks Gerudo Valley when listening to this?
Anyway, this song is awesome, I love how ABR can pull some variety while staying at the same quality level as their previous albums.
Kepp it up, ABR!
GOD YES. Finally taking their musicianship to a whole new level. I love it!

I seriously worship god so hard to this music. I love the messages they're sending to hardcore fans. You can still be hardcore and not be god free, even though that's a popular "fad". The best guitar solo ive heard from ABR. They really should play more solos in their songs, but all in all with composure the best song i heard from them.
I just love the beat to this song I'm going to listen to this band more often now (:
I love it!! I don't blame em for doing something different. They play the same music night after night. I can't blame em for wanting to expand into other things. I could see their thought process. "Hmmm how do we not do something ABR but stay ABR?" Kill it!!!
the best song of this band i loveeeee
you can definitely hear a Between the Buried & Me influence, but it's still the ABR that we know and love.
good stuff.
WOW!! great job jake and the boys. another killer song
guys, you cant expect a band to also produce the same music. its part of every band 2 progress otherwise it gets boring. Personally i think they matured a lot and keep getting better with each album
this is too goddamn good... ABR never ceases to amaze
This is really some of their best work. I like how even though the first sounds like back burner it gives it a classic Messengers feel.
Oh, and 1:14 = Some one pass the salsa please.
Man, this is great! Really dig the mix of traditional ABR sound with some BTBAM elements
Leveler will be August Burns Red at their best.
I cannot wait.
So heavy... yet SO new (:
Hell yeah this song is banging and i love the acoustic version aswell
ha these guys Of mice & men the word alive some of the best bands releasing their albums all in the same month!! :DD
Probably the first song I really enjoyed by them, still a few generic metalcore feels but the changes into the samba-esque intermissions definitely allow it to feel fresher (to me) than their previous work.
Wow, wasn't expecting this at all lol. Loving it.
JUNE 21ST, MEAARRGGGHHHHHH! \m/
The mixing and mastery on this CD are superb. Listen to the crunch of that bass at 0:17. That sounds fucking heavy as fuck. Whoever recorded this really knew what they were doing.
i could just press like... but i LOVE this song
This song makes me happy :-)
this will surely be the best CD of 2011
THESE GUYS HAVE TALENT!!!
Salsacore is a new form of music that combines salsa's Spanish guitars and metalcore's heavyness. The pioneers of this genre are Aŭgusto Burns Reto.
Best song ever.
So good live.
Oh my god, they remain awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I LOVE THE SONG
This right here......is musicianship
Jake's vocals sound so goooooddddd on this album!

messangers is still my favorite album. i wish they still did the off beat stuff they used to do
one extra-breakdown and it´s the perfect song
@AsTheOceanFalls i love how theyre trying new stuff, its great
Holy effin crap. This band is more than just some screamed vocals and a riff. I love the change in sound in the song, very between the buried and me-ish.
Freaking amazing, but now I want MORE!!!
I'm slightly obsessed with ABR and this doesnt help that any. At all. Whatsoever. SO AMAZING AND INOVATIVE!!!
such classy metal
there belongs so much courage to do something diffrent, what evereone expected.
i really like the salsa/latin parts. especially the bridgepart right before the epic guitar solo 2:22 . the drumming is superb, too. he is nearly as good as the drumming beast from as blood runs black ;)
This song makes me appreciate Mexican people more

I'll disaggree with ya TheRhino dude... This might not be what ABR was, but dude... @Iamlegend1234 i agree with waht u say exept one part: they never throw random riff and breakdown. they did mature ( for the best) but their music was never random :D
MY LIFEEE!!!
When I first heard this I like a lot of people was like "wut?" But this has definitely grown on me, I prefer it to Empire actually. Also it reminds me of Meddler, which is my favourite ABR song and I'm glad they are experimenting!
the house shown above is mine after i listened to this, and thats my car on the album cover (dont ask how it got there, it just did)
sounds ALOT like Texas In July. but i love it(:
and yes i know ABR was around before TIJ
Going to see them at Warped Tour July 30
Whats the instrument that starts playing at 1:06 and sounds like "wakku wakkuu ewakku schwakku wakku" (lol sorry thats the best I can explain it). Its kinda hard to hear probably, but if you pay attention you'll hear it.
The breakdown in the beginning is nasty. Reminds me a lot of Back Burner's big breakdown.
man jakes vocals are the best
AWSOME
@AsTheOceanFalls amen. i mean, i didnt like this song at first but i would never consider stop loving this band. music is overdramatized these days
To be an ABR fan and be disappointed with this is the definition of disgrace. This band has ALWAYS been progressing, I even hear some Between The Buried and Me in here. This is a MASTERPIECE.
