Portugal is set to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with "Grito" performed by Iolanda. The Portuguese broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) organised the national final Festival da Canção 2024 in order to select the Portuguese entry for the 2024 contest.

I like this song very much.
Little notes here (from a portuguese)
1- Grito meano more like "Scream", although "Shout" is also technicaly correct.
2- This song is NOT boring AT ALL, if you know the lyrics, it makes you feel several emotions
3-How can you hear those beautiful vocals and just stare at it? MOTHER IS DE-LI-VE-RING! Honestly I don't get it but I respect every opinion.
4-I was a little bit sad by your negative opinion, it looked like a song you would like.
So Grito is boring but The tower isn't? :(
Different genres. I find The Tower catchy and fun. Grito is slow and doesn't evoke any emotions in me.
Grito isn't boring at all. It's a masterpiece. But as with most slowish emotional music either it will hit hard or not hit at all. Then people might say somtehing like "well, but Ramonda from Serbia is also slow and emotional and people seem to like it more". Yeah, because it's musically more popular-ish written, while Grito requires a bit more ear and sensitivity to be properly appreciated.
Grito is good,but the tower is better
The Tower is so boring...nothing new, so predictable...sorry but most of the songs this year are predictable! I Dont like songs like that...
Why you did the cuts?
I guess, not every song will give you the “hype" that you, personally, look for in a song, specially is it is a slower song, like "Grito".
Is classical music “borig“ in your opinion? Maybe it also doesn't give any hype or isn't your type of music... Not everyone has enough sensitivity to understand it or enjoy it...
I love classical music. But I wouldn't put Grito under that category. The song doesn't leave any impact on me, quite simply.
@@SchlagerLucas obviously, "grito“ cannot be categorized as classical music... I was just referring it as an example, because many people who watch ESC surely wouldn't vote for it, because they don't like that genre, for the lack of hype...
