Thank you for your comment. The song is about mental struggles and fighting to overcome them on you own - Self empowerment. Explaining the choreography, the dancers are/represent the struggles and her demons and at the end she makes them disappear with her scream overcoming the struggle . Grito = scream . The white is to represent the flames, the pure white light the that emanates from the soft candle flames and the purity of the rebirth Love from Portugal

It’s Fado style mixed with more contemporary music. Fado is Portugal’s music tradition. Eurovision should be a space where each country brings their own culture into it, Portugal has been doing this for years in the competition. We are proud of our roots, our history and our culture.
@iolandamusic created pure art with this performance! She translated so well Portugal and the theme of the song (mental health issues, resilience and strength) into this song, the dancers (her demons) poetically interpreting the powerful lyrics.
I’m so impressed with everything! Her voice, her performance, the melody, the back vocals, the instruments, inclusive of our ‘cavaquinho’, the dancers, the direction of camera, the entire production - all together enhancing the song perfectly and so beautifully.
I can’t express enough how proud I feel for Ioland to represent my country with this masterpiece!

You both need to read the lyrics of the song before watching and listening to the song. The lyrics of the song are pure poetry and are very emotional. She has a big fight against her fears. They are the ghosts and all the people who hurt her. These ghosts and people don't have faces. The dancers represent the ghosts. But she can see the (white) light in these ghosts. She says the fight hurts but she will be able to win. Then she becomes powerful, gives a scream and all the ghosts fall to the ground. She managed to overcome her fears. Black represents fear and white is light. All elements have a meaning.
this song talks about the different forms of psychological disorders and all these consequences for patients in their daily lives...
