God, that Lamu game was actually super clever. The way it begins with you from the Lamu’s POV then switches to the victim’s made the scares way more effective than if it had just been from the latter’s from the beginning.
I think part of what makes Hungry Lamu so effective is that you already know what's out there waiting for you, and it's intentions. Sometimes that can be scarier than not knowing.
Also the fact that when you played as Lamu you had a VERY limited sandbox, meaning when you become the survivor you know for a fact that Lamu can’t be far

Cool fact about cherries- they grow on trees AND bushes! Bush cherries actually mature and ripen a lot quicker too, making them favorable among farmers. I'm not quite sure they're blue though, so Mark's probably right about them not being cherries! 😅
I think the most interesting part of the first game is how it opens up by lying to you. The very first objective makes it clear the narrator is lying; it tells you to eat _cherries_ when the bushes very distinctly have _blueberries_ in them. This subtly sets up the obvious twist of things not being what they seem, and the narrator deceiving you.

SAME. I knew that face looked familiar!
I love how Mark hated berries being called cherries more than anything in the first game
25:22
Mark: "I'm a completionist!"
Meanwhile, in Choo Choo Charles: *I AM NOT A COMPLETIONIST!!!*
The lamu game was definitely the scariest, all that happy strutting around the grass made me uneasy 😄

Wow, I expected Lamu to at most have a little flash of "This is what it really looks like," but to change to a completely different kind of game? Incredible.
10:35 Fun facts with Markiplier, "THIS IS CAR-"
that skeleton scare in the pizza game was so sudden, unexpected and loud, it caused me to throw my drink i was drinking all over my desk. Thanks Developer very cool!
For some reason, I was completely unphased by the skeleton...
(Context: scary games absolutely ruin me usually, anything that moves makes me jump a little)
I also spilled my drink everywhere! Boiling hot tea
The funny part is in the tunnel the scream that plays is that micheal p roblox scream but pitched down. I recognized it almost immediately.
Lamu: "I'm still hungry!"
Also Lamu: *Barely eats any of everything he kills*
Lixian and his edits never cease to make me happy, he edits himself in, my smile grows beyond a normal smile when I see Mark, Lixian is what makes me reach unreachable happiness, his artist rendition of himself is so amazing, and seeing him in these scary videos of Markiplier's makes me feel calmer, along with Mark being himself which also makes me calm.
same, there's something about let's plays tubers like mark that just make me calm down
The fact that I'm a pizza delivery driver listening to a pizza delivery horror game and the driver gets kidnapped freaks me out lmao
Its been 3 weeks since ur comment i just wanna check on u so are u kidnapped or still deliverin pizza?
U okay?.👀👀👀
you good bru
They gone.
nah bro's dead💀💀
i feel like the first game have reallly good potential to becoming new creepypasta of horror genre this style is really interesting

30:28 I love how Mark's brain automatically goes to the horrible, while other people's goes to "Oh, the boards!"
I was watching this in the food court and got jumpscared by the second game in front of everyone. Actually jumped back
Mark @ 25:20 - "I'm a completionist"
Also mark: *didn't find all endings for Lamu*
And slime rancher
It got so calm before the jumpscare at 16:07, that it made me drop my phone and then fumble with it trying to catch it again lmao
I full on jumped
21:05 **capybara picture** "It's displaying a picture of a strange god"
21:27 **looks at the cat** This looks like a strange god right here
31:34 "Your cat is secretly **unintelligible** . Use the fork to free the universe once and for all"
I can't believe the game actually foreshadowed that reveal (or at least gave you clues to reach that conclusion). Well played 👏
The second game’s jumpscare made my soul fly out of my body
Mark - poisons the cat to get all 6 endings because he's a 'completionist'
Also Mark - didn't get the second ending to the Lamu game.
Cuz lamu is long game
@@greenlanterncarl2693 well if he didn't read out every line and just hurried through everything he would have got the other ending quickly
that's probably just getting killed by lamu and losing
@@instantchaos2385 it is
the intro to the first game was really well done, it made the second half feel so much creepier in contrast
I like Mark's stare of disbelief during Ending 4 of _Feed Your Cat_ like "Seriously? You made this ending?"
It's interesting how the game has 6 endings based on what you do, including what food to give, whether to give the poison, or other stuff.
And his reaction to Ending 3. Like, what? What the heck did the cat become?

I love how he almost looks like a disappointed mom at ending 4, "I'm not mad, just disappointed"
So what I’m guessing is that to Lamu, everything’s a game, and how it views things is way different then what it actually is, it thinks people are walking fruits encouraging it to find them before receiving its reward, unaware of what it truly is
The begging jump scare is so predictable but at the same time always seems to get my heart going alittle evey time
30:20 *super suspenseful music crescendo* "This is my cat"
I FUCKING LOST IT THERE OH MY GOD 😂😂

yeah mark's jumpscares never work, they are not scary

I really liked the first game, that transition between happy and ominous is very effective.
