- Today we take a look at the H-01 prospector, a new, purchasable ship in the economy update.

Great video again! The Prospector was originally designed using decorative pack blocks in mind but those were removed / replaced to make it more accessible to everyone. The bed should of course be a bed block, underneath a bed can be a toilet room facing the ladder. The cockpit should be an industrial cockpit. this also gives it a conveyor connection. And finally the LCD and catwalk can be replaced by an armory block and a kitchen. this makes it a fully livable habitat. Thanks for the time you are putting into these videos!

@@Aragath oohhh aragath ;) makes much more sense now, i did think it was odd that u wouldn't conveyor up the cockpit but that makes sense now, also may i ask about the airlock? was i just using it wrong? thanks :)
@@LunarKolony i tried to keep the ship compact and thought that for having such a small ship, its fine to make the cabin the airlock. the button panel has a button set up to set the air vent to depressurize, and the light inside the ship will turn off and on when the interior is depressurized as a warning. How ever, adding another door the way you did is perfect if you prefer an actual airlock. I have been playing on the official servers myself a lot and I bought this ship as soon as I could. I noticed it does require a lot of inventory management, but is very cheap to maintain as it requires little power. The batteries are easily recharged with the engines. ( I also flipped the passage block behind the door 90 degrees because I thought it looked better that way. )

I LOVE the H-01 Prospector. If you have your block inventory size at max I definitely suggest buying this ship. Especially if you're on Titan since you basically find every faction off the bat.
Positives:
- It's cheap
- Very efficient.
Negatives:
- Feels kinda slow.
- Hard to tell where you are when in first person since the connector blocks light and limits your sight.
- VERY slow at stopping.
How to get it fast:
- Sell magnesium powder via store and equisition contracts. (1 Magnesium powder sells for 24'000 SC and Magnesium powder req contracts usually net 2'000'000.)
So i love modifying these ships for different purposes and i think I've got a winner. Im doing a survival where im salvaging shipwrecks and selling it for scrap or using the materials. So replace the drills with grinders and VIOLA! I know its simple but this ship literally fits all my needs to salvage stuff. It cant bore mine so i think grinding and salvage work is a good purpose for it. Hell put a welder on here and make it into a multifunctional vehicle!

An easy fix to the drill problem with adding a touch more piping, 2 more drills and a couple rotors so you can actually bore in to asteroids.

This is my favourite ship, but I do modify it slightly by replacing with the industrial cockpit to allow for oxygen supply in the cockpit while flying around. The conveyor porting is top port on the industrial cockpit so just swapping will allow the cockpit to line up with the existing conveyor port above the cockpit but still allows interior or exterior entrance and exit from the cockpit.

With mass of 450 tons, the ship is I think full of ore. So you cant get it beyond that. Still, you actually can hover with H-01 with tremendous load of 800 tons on the moon including the ship itself. But bescause of its capacity, and the fact that at 800 tons it can barely hover, it is recommended to keep it at 350 tons for optimal manueverability.

I like to convert the backend contor with a welder setup so it can be used as a engineering vessel
The H-01 Prospector is one of the best ship in the game and if you use the nanobot miner mod it makes it even better.

@@LunarKolony It's perfectly fine, I'm not either. Excels means it's being good, or even great at something. Exceed means going beyond, like exceeding capacity means your capacity is over its (recommended) limit.

Useless ship, if you've got the credits, you don't need it.
