- Hello everyone! sorry for my long hiatus, I had some personal problems between this and the last video, but that didn't stop my will to make more :), Im now using sony vegas, hence the 60fps videos, I hope this makes up for the time I took off.
Like I said in the video, comment which ship you would like to see next and i'll pick whichever craft has the most votes as my next review, take care, everybody :).

I just bought one for the first time, started tinkering immediately. This was going to be a space only encounter scrapper, so all atmo thrusters removed. Rear large Atmos were replaced with hydrogen tanks, while the voids from the front large Atmos were made into small ship hangars, using the new gate as the hangar door. I also lined the front with grinders, and named in "Om-Nom" for obvious reasons.
i saved up for 3 of these and heavily modified them for my fleet

This is by far my favorite purchasable ship in the game, and I made my own refit as well (interior, exterior modifications + a basic refinery).
I was talking to Aragath (who makes the ships) and told him it reminded me of the Lakon haulers from Elite: Dangerous. He said that the Type-7 Transporter was a source of inspiration for the design (as he played E:D and used the ship) and it really shows.
For the next review I wouldn't mind seeing the TT-15 Freighter or LCC-3 Freighter.
A very interesting, I've never played elite dangerous myself but I'll take a peak at that ship, thanks for watching;)
I totally see the Type-7 Transporter in its design; top-heavy and too tall for its own good lol. I even made a comment about it being SE's Type-7 to a couple of friends of mine.
Love that ship. Have my own modified version I call The Hotrod Hauler. Fun fact, there is a hollowed out space above the control seat. They put a passage there for whatever reason. I changed that area into a secret room

I'm a sucker for mundane cargo ships. So much roleplay and customization potential. Makes you feel like a real freighter captain.

This is my favourite of the economy ships. I have to admit I like the aesthetic of the LCC-3 better but being Ion only is a deal breaker for me. On a keen public server anyway, I'll have both in a private game. There's just a few things that really let the b-60 down in my opinion. #1 poor deceleration. #2 lack of good mount points for gat/missile turrets without really cutting into the hull. #3 Lack of a ventral connector like you see in some of the pictures of the B-60 in the decorative DLC (this is easy to fix if you remove the forward landing gear).
#1 Yes inded but can't have it all.
#2 Disagree, try the engine pod sides and dorsal part (conveyor access) and dorsal side, on top of the LCCs
#3 You can add a connector on the ventral conveyor, by the H2 tank without removing any gear.

I bought the B-60 and cut it in half and put a hangar in the middle, theres enough room for a small fighter and shuttle that can be used to go to and from ships or stations.
I've seen a few with hangars where the large containers are, very cool!

@@LunarKolony Yeah, it's a pretty sweet ship, to be sure. Kind of hoping that when you do do an analysis of it, Aragath gives a little insight into the deco block arrangement in the aft section. Edit: Also, I kinda did my own little modified version of the B-60; nothing terribly drastic, but I added a few more interior turrets to the hull, added a ventral connector and docking camera, added navigation lights, and a registry beacon (N6483W, on the _Cassiopeia_ )
@@ChozoSR388 Yeah Ive had a look at some of the changes he made from the ambassador in the campaign and they're pretty major, I happen to have aragath on steam so if i do an episode on it I can ask him a couple questions and hopefully he'll reply. Also sounds cool!, I think adding turrets is especially important for multiplayer as having such a big ship destroyed, with lots of possible cargo, can be a pain haha ;)

As previously said, it's an excellent customization platform. My version was customized for exploration so, each side entry point was altered, port side with a ramp for surface access and starboard side with a piston+connector for space stations. The interior space was actually big enough to add an independent airlock (with timer blocks) in EACH entry point! Same happened for the rear entry point to the landing pad, which was heavy armor reinforced for H2 thruster crafts.
Facility wise, the comm. tower was altered to accomodate a full refinery+modules AND a collector/grav gen system for fast asteroid mining. The assembler was moved in place of one of the Large Cargo Containers to also accomodate for speed and power modules. One of the two cabins was transformed as a cargo & production control center and the other was refurbished with lockers, bed and cryo chamber into a proper cabin. The bridge was altered by using a small subgrid for utility (more info screens, programmable blocks and extra control seats-flight engineer, weapons system officer though the ship can STILL be piloted by a single person) as well as flavor.
The ship was also externally outfited with 1x custom sextuple autocannon ball turret (fore) , 2x assault cannons (sides), 2x gatling guns (dorsal, over the engine pods) and 2x interior turrets (side/ventral, by the entry points) for self defense. Given the excellent conveyor system placement, everything could be connected without compromising airtightness!
Engine pods were enlarged to add more ventral and rear thrust to balance the added weight. Ion thrusters added for economic space flight, 2 in each direction, trading poor acceleration with H2 conservation. Maneuverability and planetary mobility were, surprisingly, maintained while the overal look did not change much.
Summing up, I can say that I was impressed by achieving to built a fully capable mobile base using this platform!

I'm def going to pick this one up once I earn enough, need to modify and settle my base runner first and build a proper settlement in space as I already have plannetary base.

@@AtomicBugg if you play the star system scenario and choose the space spawn you get the ship for free, a good little initial survival pod ;)
This looks like a pretty decent cargo ship design I can use to help my Salvaging/mining Faction. I will have to modify it a bit tho with a few guns here and there, and a second landing dock for a small fighter.

Love these videos. Please try to do all or most of them. Also just today i noticed that the spawn ship Mk1 is purchasable at some space stations. I would love to see if it has changed. I have always loved that ship.

Id honestly want to turn this into a full scope mobile platform Where I can do Everything on the go.
Full scale assembly line with large Refiner and a mining drill set-up to so resupply on the go. I'd also add a solar array and wind generators yo enhance the energy efficiency and allow me a slow recharge should I ever run out of Uranium.
I would be tempted the eventually swap most of the Hydrogen thrust for Ion so I can reduce the resource needs. If I ended up rly low on power, I could just go down Planetside and recharge for a bit.
good video, but should have pointed out the living quarters dont actually sustain life xD, (i added a button in each room that disables the auto door close function as well as 2 beds per room) since the doors auto close and theres no vents if you disable the timer for that you will be fine living in beds and running off life support, as long as no one closes the doors on you lol
i added some armor and some guns and now its a beast
What does the recommended wait section refer to ? Is that the weight of its cargo and ship/fighter its carrying ?

I bought one of these on creative, destroyed it, and fixed and modified it and then it became the B-72 assault freighter and then later i modified it more to become the B-86 assault freighter

Can you replace the cargo containers with hydrogen tanks? I think the most useful thing for a ship like this would be refueling larger ships that can't easily land on a planetary base.

Am I missing something? Why when you list the recommended weights for planets and moons the moon is the lowest weight when it has lower gravity than the earth like?
You are, most upward thrust is atmospheric, so to lift itself on the moon it only has a couple of hydros whereas on earth it has its massive atmo thrusters

Why is the cargo lower on the moon than on Earth?
Because the main large atmospheric thrusters dont work on the moon, and the ship only has a few small hydrogen engines for lift

Adding a couple of well placed ion thrusters and additional hydrogen thrusters changes this dramatically.

flying on the surface and transitioning are two different things, as you get higher I imagine the large atmospheric thrusters will cut out and there's not much hydrogen thrust to carry you on
