What is the difference between this particular Safari interface (with illustrated conductivity levels between targets), and another Safari (without the particular conductivity label, though it has a "lead" target label that the other doesn't) ? The interfaces are different in that respect, so does that imply that there is possibly an upgraded Safari version out there? I know it's a rather small detail, though I'd hate to overlook it if it's significant.
Thanks for that Gerry. I will give it ago. I normally do beaches but this will help in the trashy dirt I've just been getting into the last month or two. Done well in factory settings but this will help heaps. Cheers mate.
G'day Gerry. Settings worked well mate. Pulled two old pre dec 50% silvers and two old coppers ones, 6 decimal copper coins that are no longer in use and four $2 and four $1 coins. It picks up our $1&$2 coins but not the 5,10,20&50c coins which is cool as that's not what I'm looking for in the parks but I'll take the big money any day. Digging trash was the best thing as it was down by at least half. No friggen pull tabs was a first. LOL. Did do some testing and left open 8,9,10 in case some gold was about but all in all it worked sweet and I'm as happy as pig in poo and will be hitting the dirt a lot more thanks to you and the settings you shared. Cheers mate and all the best from down under.
Dinkidi Digger is having some success with those settings. Thanks for sharing my friend. If you email me direct some good clear photos, I'll try to share them on my FB page. Love seeing folks enjoying their detectors and making cool finds with tips and tricks from my videos. Cheers Mate. Gerry
Gerry with that big of a coil where were you running your sensitivity? My guess would be auto, but curious what you have to say. Also how quick was your swing? Low and slow or average? Thanks so much for your help! Great video! Looking forward to seeing what I can pull out of some of the hunted out parks down here in Salt Lake!
Well Gerry I tried setting up my mindlab Safari like you said and it didn't work. What was it 0-to-30 Or do I need to purchase one of those $ 230.00 15 inch heads? To actually make that setup wk
Thanks for sharing it Jackie. Small generous gestures like that is what helps me sell a few detectors and that allows me the funds to make more videos. Cheers, Gerry
Hi Gerry, I have reason to believe that there are some gold coins around the house. What would you suggest the setting to be ? Somebody lent me his Safari, but I have no idea.... not very technical woman I guess.
You are correct, but this video is designed for finding Silver coins and not gold rings. If I want to hunt gold rings, I have other settings I use. Cheers
All the nickels I have ever found - Jeff's war Jeff's buffs and v's were all found at 13 14 and sometimes 15 I see you were down around 5 and 6 what's up with that.
hi Gerry, that setting is great. found some silver using it. was nice not hearing that constant flute playing. nice and smooth. thanks for sharing it.
Glad you liked it.
What about cutting out "40". Isn't a 40 normally rusted items?

Auto for beginners, then locked for expert hunters. Always Low and slow, especially with bigger coils.

Thanks for the tip Gerry, did you leave sensitivity on auto ?

Are they $1, $2.50, $5, $10, $20 gold coins as they all read different.

Contact me when you are ready to purchase, I offer a 15% discount too.
