Zoro's actor is a well known actor in Japan as an actor doing his own stunt. And he acted some live adaptation too. The best one is still his acting in Rurouni Kenshin The Final as the villain. You should check Enishi vs Kenshin video. I think it's the reason why he was casted as Zoro.
I am so happy the both of you cheer for Arlong’s actor, McKinley Belcher III. I myself am unfamiliar with him, but so many actors get sidelined when wearing prosthetics. You do twice the work of other actors, spending hours in a make-up chair, having to make your appendages a part of you and effectively being a pupeteer and actor, ….and ending up unrecognizable on the red carpet, not getting any of the clout or cred. You guys are real ones❤️
I've been watching reaction videos of these episodes like crazy and, oh yeah, there are a LOT of newcomers being drawn to this show. Like... brand, brand new. Like, "I think it might be about pirates, maybe?" brand new. Watching their reactions to the absolute insanity that is One Piece has quickly become my new favorite thing. Folks' expression the first time Luffy gets stretchy? Priceless Great video! I love watching y'all watch things!
I'm also one of the people who have only watched the live action, honestly it kind of convinced me to watch it but I just cant get over the 1000+ episodes
I like how Usopp and Sanji were the only ones who mimicked Luffy’s howl. Reminds of how they were the few who liked Afro Luffy while Nami and Zoro were being pills.
Amazing live action. You could feel just how much love was poured into this. Overall great casting, settings, and despite the few changes, it fit well for the plot. Awesome reactions! I can't wait for season 2
Fr, I really liked how they made the marines look. Also seeing the interactions between Garp and Roger in Loguetown was chilling, especially if you're ahead in the anime. The Strawhats look great as well.
I know right I've been hearing people say they cut out a bunch a characters that they hoped to see but then I see what these characters look like and I'm like how the hell do u expect them to adapt that cuz it would've been cgi or practical effects and I'm sure the fans would've complained either way
There's alot of good stuff here what sells it me beyond the depiction of the characters and world is the synergy of the cast, hitting those emotions when it counts and all the stunts and action shots were really well done, it's crazy how they really capture some of the action shots from the show
The actor who played Arlong deserves an Oscar!! He killed this shit.. I was iffy about him when i saw the trailer but he turned out to be my favorite portrayal in the live action
I'm currently on Whole Cake Island in the anime so I'm used to timeskip Luffy and the rest of the crew, but seeing the live action reminded me how strong and tough the East Blue villains were and they did a good job portraying that.
I'm new here and the live action is my intro to one piece but I actually love that you have some insight on the anime. I've been trying to figure out if I want to start the journey of watching it all so to hear you guys talk about where it goes in the future further confirms I need to start it. So I actually liked when you talked about things that are going to happen and have a little more in depth perspective on the show. A lot of the other reactors are also just getting into One Piece too so its nice to have a few reactors who've also seen the anime/follow the manga.
Mackenyu (Zoro) is a martial artist (Kyokushin Karate, Wrestling) and well trained sword fighter. ▪︎ He's also the son of legendary actor/martial artist, Sonny Chiba ('Hattori Hanzō' in ''Kill Bill'')
I agree about Arlong. Although I don't like the design because it wasn't intimidating enough, but here the LA did a great job for portraying Arlong as someone who hate humans for the reason. We don't quitely understand his character until Fisherman Island Arc (and Sabody) to found out the reason why he hated humans is because of how humans treat his kind. I think it's good decision to make Arlong came to Beratie, so viewer know the discrimination from human to fisherman & how the fisherman feel about it.
Also the actor who actually plays Usuopp after he got casted actually took a survival class or Archery and mastered the slingshot and actually can hit 🎯 30 metres away close to 100 feet away and yes Sanji did take classes for the martial arts using feet and worked at a restaurant to learn how to cook and ya zoro actor is a pro and alway in another sword fighting live action show or film kenshin
I'm legitimately surprised at how many ppl are first being introduced to the series thru the live action. From what I'm seeing, the main reasons are either: they are into anime but were wary abt getting into an ongoing series that over 1000 ep/chps, so an 8-ep series seems easier; or they are new to anime in general and decided to get into OPLA bc it got good reviews.
I imagine that Hacchan was cut due to the hardest fight against Zoro, a shame that they cut these parts but at least they did an more faithful adaptation than many other "modernized" shows lol It also attracted more attention to the world of One Piece since many was still thinking that was an kids show UwU
New One Piece fans must be curious about what happened to luffy (poster in the back) Also this was a great adaptation. I'm still going to rewatch in Spanish and maybe Japanese. Taz skyler (sanji) and iñaki godoy (luffy) dub the Spanish of this.
Next is Loguetown, Smoker, Tashigi, Daddy the Father and Dragon are all important moments. Not to mention if they can get Luffy on the scaffold laughing at his death moment. Then Warship Island can be skipped. Then Grand Line, to Laboon and Crocus. Where we meet Vivi too. Whiskey Peak where we meet Robin. Little Garden where a lot happens and Nami gets bit. That leads to Drum Island (now Sakura Kingdom) to get Chopper. Then Alabasta. Hopefully we meet Ace. Not sure how much of all this we will get. Wondering if it will be everything pre-Alabasta for season 2.
There was a little easter egg in the newspaper during the Kaya scene at the end there if you didn't catch it. The other side of the paper across from the bounty. Speaks of Dragon the Revolutionary. Little sneak peek spoilers there.
In reference to your spoiler comments: Logue town, grand line, laboon, random ass drunken scene with some of BW on that island (some kind of party thing lmfao), they meet vivi somewhere and then someone gets sick, then they find chopper, then alabasta. That's the order... I think.
We didn''t get the famous Usopp hammer. Sanji called out his finishing moves, as did usopp, Zoro has yet to call out his. Lion's song maybe 👀 or do we hold off till when a certain character says "demon god" after insulting a certain someone
the producer of the one piece series already did the script for season dude said he already did 12 season worth of one piece scripts and oda had gave his blessing for the first 6 seasons so if netflix don't screw up they could make this show go all the way up to the 2 year time skip
honestly I got 215 episodes into the anime and quit. I really hated it lol and really kept trying because everyone said it gets good blah blah blah but the anatomy, animation, filler, extended scenes and episodes with no purpose really frustrated me. I was even hesitant to watch the live action but I MUCH PREFER it and now I think I'll read the manga instead of watch the anime as I've heard it's less filler
@StruckByBelz, 27:04 Interesting. I knew of One Piece but never watched it or read it. Everything worked for me--I had nothing to compare it to. I think those watching need to keep in mind that Netflix has two jobs: appease the diehard fans, but also appeal to new ones too, as they need to grow their base. They certainly did that based on the praise it's getting from all areas. One of the unsung heroes of the series is the music! The composer made you feel all those emotional moments and made many moments memorable and fun because of the many catchy melodies. I can't wait for season two either. Two years (if we could be so lucky) is a long time to wait. I hope they take all the time they need. Season two needs to be as good as the first, and I'm sure it will given how much passion everyone put into this one.
Unfortunately Season 2 hasn't been confirmed yet. Weeks 3/4 after release are going to be very important for the series - if it continues to do well, it'll get renewed. If not...
Good first season , Can t Wait season 2 , Inaki Godoy , Mackenyu and Emily Rudd are awesome and so talented. Thanks for the vidéo and God Bless You guys👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
I give this live action an overall 8/10 rating. It's my honest opinion and some things i didn't like but still, i enjoy watching it Season 2 is already a guaranteed. This live action was trending every countries and it was no. 1. The script is already written, they just had to film it. I hope they can make season 2 better!
Netflix hasn't officially announced it. Also for now they have to wait for the writer's strike to end before production can start. So it might take 2 years or more...
For the new OP fans that started with live action, its like when i stumbled upon Berserk 97 anime and eventually moved on to the manga. I just wanted MORE content lol
11:41 the fight between Luffy and Arlong could have been better if it was longer where Luffy can unleashed more kicking techniques….in the Animé, he used his legs in demolishing Arlong Park….hope, Luffy utilized his legs more in the next Season…..
I think you're all need to see live action of anime samurai x, the LA name is rurouni kenshin, is the best live action to for me... the story and the fight is the best
I feel like the Zoro-Mihawk fight end was considered a bit cringe because in the anime Zoro is a bit more laid back and jokes, but then when he sees Mihawk for the first time it becomes a very gritty moment in his character development, which it seems that in the live action he has been too serious and hasn't shown as much emotion til that point, so when that did happen it was a bit out of character. I think the writing for Zoro's character has to be a bit looser until the timeskip which then the actor right now is nailing that character, but not the pre-timeskip Zoro.
Did they end up reacting to anything about the cast line interviews and challenges?? If they did can someone tell me if it’s on patreon or UA-cam or send me a link with a reply!!
For those who says some scenes are cringy like when Zoro's lost to mihawk. You guys should watch the series in japanese dubbed they've done the job pretty well & im sure sure most of you guys might even like live action in japanese dubbed more than original.😃😃😃
Can you react to the live with the japanese dub and english subtitles. The voice actors for the anime are the voiceovers for the japanese live action. Gomu Gomu No....
kinda funny how good a show can be when all they do is just follow the script and dont put in their woke ass agenda. maybe netflix learns something from this.
Spoiler. . . You guys are forgetting about dragon as well. Also in my opinion live actions should be a little cringey and goofey, if they try to be too serious they'll kind of ruin it.
Sanji’s actor did indeed train for a year. There’s clips of him practicing kicks.
I think it was two years actually.
Luffy geting the fist of love from Garp never fails to amuse me
Luffy also used to say that his Grandpa's punches always hurt (others do not) meaning Garp was always using haki whenever he punched Luffy 😂
@@deadliqhtcuz luffy's rubber body can't be hurt by normal punches in one piece?
im so appreciative of the team and cast that put in so much effort and love while making this live action😌🙏
Seriously, they did a good job👍
Mackenyu (Zoro's actor) is actually a Martial Artist, and also a son of a legendary Sonny Chiba, an actor and also a Martial Artist
They really surpass our expectation. I really hope we will get news for season 2 announcement may be after the writer's strike end...

Priceless
Great video!
I love watching y'all watch things!
I'm also one of the people who have only watched the live action, honestly it kind of convinced me to watch it but I just cant get over the 1000+ episodes
Could read the manga
You can cut a good 200 of those out due to be complete filler. There's a guide that tells you which ones are skippable.
I like how Usopp and Sanji were the only ones who mimicked Luffy’s howl. Reminds of how they were the few who liked Afro Luffy while Nami and Zoro were being pills.
One Piece really set records for the manga, anime and live action success 🎉
I really liked how they added the interaction from water 7 much earlier to showcase their relationship, especially to newer viewers
I definitely understand why they didn’t add hachi. Having a cgi octopus would be kinda weird
I know right I've been hearing people say they cut out a bunch a characters that they hoped to see but then I see what these characters look like and I'm like how the hell do u expect them to adapt that cuz it would've been cgi or practical effects and I'm sure the fans would've complained either way
There's alot of good stuff here what sells it me beyond the depiction of the characters and world is the synergy of the cast, hitting those emotions when it counts and all the stunts and action shots were really well done, it's crazy how they really capture some of the action shots from the show
I know right! I was sold the moment I saw zoro’s first fight. The fight choreography throughout the 8 episodes is amazing!
Everybody is worried about how Chopper will look, but I got confidence that he'll turn out great
#MakeChopperAMuppet!!!
Have you seen how they portrayed him like Pikachu lol
I mean if tiny buggy was amazing I think they would do chopper justice too!
We got basically confirmation that Jami Lee Curtis will be Kureha now, so I'm HYPED.
The actor who played Arlong deserves an Oscar!! He killed this shit.. I was iffy about him when i saw the trailer but he turned out to be my favorite portrayal in the live action
The amount of easter eggs and namedrops through out this first season gets you so hyped for season 2
I'm currently on Whole Cake Island in the anime so I'm used to timeskip Luffy and the rest of the crew, but seeing the live action reminded me how strong and tough the East Blue villains were and they did a good job portraying that.

Arlong was such a VIBE
Mackenyu (Zoro) is a martial artist (Kyokushin Karate, Wrestling) and well trained sword fighter.
▪︎ He's also the son of legendary actor/martial artist, Sonny Chiba ('Hattori Hanzō' in ''Kill Bill'')
This season was amazing, they figured out how to make a One Piece live action, they just have to polish more their method. I'm so ready for season 2!
One of the reason why the live action worked is because it has better pacing compared to anime
They even had Arlong do the laugh if I remember correctly. Was surprised and pleased when I heard that.
His actor knocked it out the park with that laugh. Even the Japanese dub actor didn’t do the laugh.
This was a good first season cannot wait for season 2
Mackenyu/Zoro has been trained in martial arts since young, so I wasn't surprised his moves were so clean and smooth.
I just wanna know what music system Arlong uses in his park, that speaker sounds amazing
I agree about Arlong. Although I don't like the design because it wasn't intimidating enough, but here the LA did a great job for portraying Arlong as someone who hate humans for the reason. This episode is a slap to all those haters who underestimated luve action
Season 2 got confirmed yesterday and Chopper too by Oda🔥
I can’t wait for Ace in season 2 🔥
Such a great series
Im 30 now maybe I'll see Gear 5 live action when im 70.
You can see the Revolutionary Army in Kaya’s newspaper, the group led by someone close to Luffy.
What a journey... and it has only just begun!
You guys should check out : all the easter eggs in the one piece live action by artur it was mind blowing on how much detail they put into it
I love this live actions
Was amazing 😢❤
Smoker is one of my favorite chars in the whole series. I hope they pull it off
I imagine that Hacchan was cut due to the hardest fight against Zoro, a shame that they cut these parts but at least they did an more faithful adaptation than many other "modernized" shows lol
It also attracted more attention to the world of One Piece since many was still thinking that was an kids show UwU
Today I graduate from my university and you guys uploaded this, what a great day for me thank you guys👍🏻👍🏻
Always love your reaction🔥

Oda just announced that Netflix has signed on for Season 2!
Did ya know that for the japanese dub they used the original cast!? I thought it was pretty cool that they had them involved too:D
Arlong looked like Jeepers Creeper
There was a little easter egg in the newspaper during the Kaya scene at the end there if you didn't catch it. The other side of the paper across from the bounty. Speaks of Dragon the Revolutionary. Little sneak peek spoilers there.

15:03 you'd be surprised at how exactly strong that old fart is. No spoilers, but once the anime catches up you'll see some interesting things.
15:03 garp will still kick luffy ass even now
honestly I got 215 episodes into the anime and quit. I never thought I would love a One Piece live action
when before I didn't want them to do it
i love live actions

personally overall its insanely high at 9,3
Idk where people are getting the notion that s2 is guaranteed from - the performance of the show in upcoming weeks is extremely important for renewal.
Yes!! Do the reactions to the adventures of the casts!!
I think you should do the interview/challenge of the cast members reactions
For the new OP fans that started with live action, its like when i stumbled upon Berserk 97 anime and eventually moved on to the manga. I just wanted MORE content lol

I was waiting for the broken nose 🙆🏻♂️
Y’all had me dying bruh leave lips alone 😭😭😭
Yeah Sanji & Zoro do this shit in real life, especially Sanji actor.
I thought they did an incredible job
Putting those lips to work 🤣🤣😂😂
Anyone else watch season one 5 times over
Do you know the production team are hoping for a 12 season? And season 2 is already finished its scriptwriting phase 😁
I need that mushoku tensei reaction video
Ngl, I'm hoping longbeachgriffy to be cast as blackbeard, Jim Carrey to be Mr 2...😂
I think you're all need to see live action of anime samurai x, the LA name is rurouni kenshin, is the best live action to for me... the story and the fight is the best
totalmente de acuerdo. en el de Zoro no se le sintió emotivo para nada fue como mas casual en cambio el de Sanji y Nami se sintio mas real
Season 2's script is mostly finished but i doubt production has begun because of the strikes
My question is if Nami drew maps why didn't she make a copy of the map?
Never expected Mel to be a Arlong fangirl 😂
Facts
they did makino dirty frfr
Wait till you found out shanks bounty :)
I can't wait to see franky
Did they end up reacting to anything about the cast line interviews and challenges?? If they did can someone tell me if it’s on patreon or UA-cam or send me a link with a reply!!
Season 2 wont be out until 2025
For those who says some scenes are cringy like when Zoro's lost to mihawk. You guys should watch the series in japanese dubbed they've done the job pretty well & im sure sure most of you guys might even like live action in japanese dubbed more than original.😃😃😃

Laboon in Season 2 😭🐳
When will episode 6 of house of the dragon be up?
Damnn Mel 🔥
BATTLEAXE!!!!!!
LETS GOOOO!
6:10 ayoo
dang, they skipped loguetown part before they went to the grand line, but this season really good, definitely the best anime live action out. 🔥🔥
Season 2 could start with Loguetown. They didnt skip it. Nami was just examining the map and noticed something odd is all
@@marcusd450 ohhh okay, maybe 🤔
Season 2 can’t be in production there’s a writers strike going on. Netflix can’t officially announce anything
Dont worry, Netflix WILL ruin this show like The Witcher and some other shows. Be ready for wokeness and queers ruining it. Im calling it. Dont @ me.
Idk anything about that. Can you explain it to me in a luffy way so i can understand?
zoro kills people even in the anime, but its censored so kids can watch the anime.
I’m just saying you guys look like siblings?😅
kinda funny how good a show can be when all they do is just follow the script and dont put in their woke ass agenda. maybe netflix learns something from this.
Come on!!
Spoiler. . .
You guys are forgetting about dragon as well. Also in my opinion live actions should be a little cringey and goofey, if they try to be too serious they'll kind of ruin it.
What's with the Sheeeesh or whatever
