Wow man, its really over. What an absolute rollercoaster. I'm going to miss Kaido. The guy was an absolute unit, and blasted every expectations. Luffy really did...he fulfilled his promise to Otama. What a king 👑
Nearly the entirety of the post time skip era of One Piece has led us to this moment. Ten years ago, Luffy and Law formed an alliance to take down Kaido. That alliance only grew as we made our way to and arrived in Wano. Now, four years of Wano later, the reign of Kaido and Orochi is over. Their oppression and tyranny is no more. Wano is free!!!
We gotta Remember Kaido was fighting The Worst Generation,Yamato,The Scabbards,Momo (for a bit) and Then Gear 5 while holding a island whatever Stamina he had left was put into that last attack
Im gonna have to give a big applause to toei animation. Their collective effort in this arc has been nothing short of phenomenal. From direction to Soundtracks to animation to storyboards, they truly exceeded the expectations of EVERY one piece fan and some moments felt like a dream come true for us. GOODBYE WANO 🙏❤️
imagine you have a barbeque with associates at your house and a crackhead and his gang of lunatics jump you. the bash your homies, throw your girl off and tag team you. you kill the crackhead twice, but the second time he turns into bugs bunny and manhandles you before making a fist bigger than your house and punching you into the earth. that was kaido's night
Hearing Kaido's words now and him saying, "You couldn't be Joy Boy either" when he knocked luffy into the sea makes it much more clear how much Kaido knew and was waiting for this moment... Such an amazing battle!
It's interesting because even though Kaido is the strongest, he failed to change the world. We still have the Tenryuubitos, Roger died, and the world system remains unchanged. King often spoke of Kaido being Joyboy, but Kaido himself knows he isn't Joyboy, this mysterious figure that King is waiting for (possibly the one who can change the world), and in Kaido's perspective, if the strongest creature couldn't change the world, then the only one who can do it is the person capable of defeating him (the true Joyboy).
Oda has a statement but i forgot when did he say this, he says "When Kaidou appeared for the first time, I said that Luffy can't defeat such a strong character yet. And I'm yet to know how Luffy would defeat Kaidou. Probably my audience will not be satisfied if the reason for defeating Kaidou is just because Luffy's punch is so strong Also Luffy punching Kaido but it's bigger. Luffy is finally on that emperor level because he took down one of the strongest creature in One Piece Kaido flashback felt short, i think it's a little bit disappointing that we didn't get much. But Oda was just saving it for the Rocks flashback/God Valley stuff. I want to know more of Kaido's motivation, what his true goal really is. That's what are missing in Kaido's backstory
@@RedxLilxSleepy specifically, Kaido wanted to know who Joyboy was, what he himself was missing that made him different from Joyboy, why he couldn't become Joyboy. I'd say he got his answer and is likely satisfied finally knowing what it was.
Wow guys.. Great reactions as always... Luffy's victory 💯Luffy kept ace's and his promise to Tama.... ace is proud of him.... Kaido fought till the end...He is not the strongest among all living creatures for nothing... He fought the retainers, luffy, zoro, law, kidd, yamato, momonosuke nonstop without any rest or any healing... Finally wano country is liberated 🎉🎊😮
Salute to Kaido, the biggest, baddest mfer who's been the goal for damn near 10 years now every since Law asked Luffy to join him in an alliance to take him down. I'll miss him, his VA was awesome, the anime elevated Kaido to being one of my favorite characters in One Piece.
I don't know what Kaido's thought process was when thinking up his plan. But by starting the world's greatest . He could of intentionally summoned Joyboy. As he was suffering all his life through war and rejection. He could of changed the world by doing this. As he has seen poor countries like his that have been living in poverty and war just to appease there rulers. To him it was no different from slavery.
I think they showed quite well why Kaido is the way he is. From a young age he had seen how nobles and celestial dragons have been oppressing and controlling the masses. He believed that they were unfit to rule because they were born into it and didnt earn it. Hence why he questioned why they do anything for them. His ideology is as he said "a persons worth is only determined by war". Why, because its is the place to prove ones strength and will power. If someone has an opinion and wishes to enact it in society one must fight for it. If your to weak get your ass up and put blood, sweat and tears and work for it, push yourself to the absolute limit and your true character will come forth. This is why he so highly opposed the nobles cause they didnt earn their right to rule, they didnt sacrifice anything for it. Its why he said "lets drag these so called peace loving nobles down from their thrones onto the battlefield and test their worth". As he has said multiple times Haki transcends all and Haki literally means ambitions and will. So in war a mans ambition and will be determined and its only the strongest wills which can rule. He basically believed in a very extreme form of meritocracy were currency is blood rather than money, how much blood are you willing to give to make your world become a reality. As for JoyBoy he himself seems to have been achieving for the title of JoyBoy. Why cause he saw that it was the only man worthy of changing the world and bringing his ideal world of violence and no corrupt nobles down. But as time went on and talking to King it seems he slowly realised that he wasnt ment to be JoyBoy, he was a failure at it. So everytime he says you cant change the world to Luffy in fact his rly talking about himself and challenging Luffy if he can surpass him. When he says you did Great but you will fail his talking half about his own failure in becoming the man he wanted to be. That is why right at the end when Luffy states his will Kaido finally lets go, his will fails finally as he sees one greater than he will ever be and achieve what he wanted to be. In all the lines he says he wants to be pirate King and take over the world it seems he didnt half believe that, unlike big mom whos dying wish was still to find the One Piece. Kaido instead from acertain point was deterimined for a different goal, finding one who will achieve what he failed at. Hence why "JoyBoy will be the one who defeats me" and in a previous episode "even you couldnt be JoyBoy". If he couldnt be JoyBoy himself he would become the one who turns one worthy into JoyBoy, he will become the gateway thats needed to be surpassed for JoyBoy to appear. Second part is rly my own thought's and theory but I believe it does add up. In the end Kaido found the man who he wanted to replace him and died a grand death as WhiteBeard, Roger and Rocks had.
It was a small flashback, but that flashback described him well in one episode. Of course I would have liked to see more about Kaido, but we can also understand a little why his way of thinking and his actions these days have made him the way he is. At that moment he accepted his defeat when he heard Luffy's answer and he finally realized that Luffy is Joyboy after all. Even if he had doubted it before. We don't need to talk about the punch back into the manga. It was great anyway :]
I been waiting for them to catch up and now im satisfied, amazing and satisfying episode the amount of emotion trips we been through is coming to an end for wano.
@@getcrunk117 There was literally no mention anywhere that Kaido is actually awakened. It wasnt 100% confirmed. Luffy says hello to Kaido with a Gear 3 attack and goodbye with a powerful Gear 5 attack which currently sends him to join his partner at the magma pool.
