That was interesting to watch. I agree that there is likely some gumming up in the carb but running good fuel that contains detergent might fix that ... Cheers

When your tank gets rusty, I use evaporust and a bunch of 3/8" nuts. The evaporust will eat up the rust and notvetchbthe steel. Shake the tank every so often to dig the rust out. Works like a champ. Do not use an acid.....
Thanks for watching and thanks for the tip. I was aware of the idea of using nuts but because of the way the filler cap is constructed on this tank, getting the nuts out would have been extremely difficult so I didn't go that direction.

The surging problem was solved when I installed the propane conversion kit, which included a new carb for gasoline and an intake for propane. I'll be posting that in the coming weeks. Cheers! Pop

i would suggest about 3 feet of small chain goes in 1 piece and comes out the same easy to do several times

clean the carb bowl .. most likely there dirt in it ..causing it to surge
