I've been in some fast cars in my time, but the fastest one I ever took a ride in was a fiberglass T-Bucket with a single 4 Barrel 327 with a duntov cam. That thing was downright brutal. I can't even begin to imagine how outrageously fast that little T-Bucket would be with a methanol injected Hemi. Holy smokes indeed!
Everyone does the same thing. Puts a 350 small block in them. It nice to see something different. I have antique tractors that the carb will frost over when they are idling.
@@karlsracing8422 Thank you! There is nothing at all impressive about an SBC in a hot rod. I’m impressed seeing old Ford hot rods with Flatheads in them, but this Hemi T-Bucket takes the cake!
I love this guys accent the one who started the car "it was gettin' a sip there eh" 😂 love it nice car btw Edit: true car guy here, bangs on the blower to rev it 1:30
Because they're death traps, put that motor in something that'll actually pass tech and go down the track. Either that or a doorslammer that can be driven on the street or track and offer some chance at survival in a roll over. It's a fairground queen or a rolling engine stand as my buddy calls them.
When I was a kid in the late 70's, early 80's, we had a father and son drag racing team one street over in the same house position as us. They'd drag Saturdays and work on the cars, usually Sunday afternoon as we were eating dinner. One was a front engined rail (no idea of the motor, a Chevy II called Lickety Split (half re, half blue paint job) and the son had a fiberglass bodied, funny car style flip up body with a 355 small block Chaz said would run 7.9's! They'd start them up and my Mom and sister would always complain about "that go awful racket" while my Dad and I would sit there with our ears perked up for every rev and tell them it was sweet dinner music!
One day, someone will have to explain to me the reasoning for that much engine in a car that you could fry the tires with a stone stock 4.0 V6. Don't take this the wrong way. One of the reasons I put a 302/4spd manual in mine was not only for the radical horsepower feel but for the unmatched exhaust note as well but I built a fairly mild mannered 302 small block with one four barrel on an Edelbrock F4B manifold and side pipes and it will still fry the tires at will. Ah well, to each his own I guess. As long as you're having fun with it.
Hi Ford guy, I am just a guy who posted the car on my account. The owner is across town. Yes over built for sure but like you say to each their own....never saw it drive just run. Thank you for your comment.
@@Bigsativa you completely missed the point. methanol for fuel buddy. later turned to methanol injection for high boost with turbos. now the junkies just smoke it themselves...
If i owned one of these ol' Ford's i'd truly put a Ford 429 with open headers on it!! Just give it a pretty high gear so it'll never take much throttle to get it rolling and cruising!! 1923 Ford T bucket!!
Very AMIRABLE_-VERY_VERY Admirable Having stumbled onto your video here-It raised a question I now send--Did you happen to negotiate and buy the Imperial from a guy in Henniker NH years ago?-and you retired from Chrysler and lived at the time in Mi?
ok a bit confused.. shooting those headers with your IR? those are old school (well for most) funnycar headers and are double walled... you get enough of a reading to make it work that fast?
Well.... its wet because of condensation actually. Also alcohol (Methanol) is inherently "colder" than regular gasoline. All of the components that it flows through will get cold, and as a result will condensate.
Someone mentioned they thought they heard a Canadian accent. If you are indeed Canadian, can you take your car to Moparfest in Hew Hamburg Ontario??? Your vehicle appears to be more motor than car! That should make it eligible! BTW, what are the two oval shaped tube like things on the tops of the valve covers?
Now that is what a T-Bucket is supposed to look like with a blower not with a high-rise manifold and two four-barrel carburetors on the top of it or two barrels or one single 2 Barrel
Not the fuel tank... its a surge tank that feeds the cam driven fuel pump... it gets fed from the fuel tank and also the Bypass/return from the barrel/k valve on the hat and from the high speed lean-outs. Its necessary up front because enderle 80/110A pumps have no lift head to them. Meaning they need to be gravity fed as they couldn't pull fuel from a tank located far below the inlet of the pump.

hope he has some heavy duty wheelie bars for it.
yes sir, I saw and filmed the sequence, that blower was refrigerant cold and you could not see any flames, that's that meth...no flame.
Impressive. A T bucket with an engine of this magnitude is just a nice engine test stand.
LOL
@camaroguy 66, i don’t know, he has the right rubber in back. just depends on how solid the structure underneath is.
That old school hemi looks killer.
'Love the throttle cracks. 'Sounds wickedly dialed-in.
That's 10 GIANT LEAPS beyond overkill. I LOVE IT!!🤪🤪🤪🤪
Sir you have a car attached to the engine
A little something to go grocery shopping in. Love to see that monster blasting down the road. Cool man.

saw this post and first thing to pop into my head was the Mister Roger's song "Won't you be my neighbor?"
Better than a obnoxious Harley 😀😀
Much rather hear that than a fart can
I just thought you needed to know, you are responsible for flooding my brain with an incalculable amount of endorphins!
Ok! Now let's see it go down the road! Everybody's T Bucket seems to sit in the driveway and idle. Let's see it in action!
I would be surprised if these vehicles were street legal.
This engine is the monster for the mass of that car. That engine can to carry a tank.
Had to give you one more thumbs up to make it 392. Cool
Thanks for sharing I miss those days
My daily driver should sound like this
That’s one hell of a T-Bucket!😳🙀🙀🙀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Looks like a Monogram kit I built as a kid!
Great looking car . But I'm always disappointed because nobody ever shows them being driven

Yep.
